- The Pat Travers Band featuring bassist Greg T. Walker of Blackfoot and drummer Simon Wright, formerly with AC/DC, and their live performance of Voodoo Child. This was recorded at Westfield By The Railroad 21119 W Hardy Rd, Houston, TX 77073 on March 20, 2004.
Man of his caliber right up there with Hendrix, Marino, Trower, vaughn & Roth that come to mind, smokin !!!
The most underrated musician of all time, I've seen Pat more times than I can count, always killed it!! Drop the mic!!!!!

Pat's another absolutely awesome musician who has never gotten the respect he so rightly deserves. The man can play with the best of them and goddamn he ROCKS!!! AWESOME TONE as always!!! Pat tears this classic a whole new asshole!!! Heard a lot of versions of this and Pat's is quite possibly the best!!!

I just realized, that Greg T Walker was on the bass from Blackfoot playing here!
Seen him in early 80s but never knew Gregg T. Walker played in his band
OMG I will forever remember how he played his guitar and cherish the true talent in his soul.
That rocked! So he took a classic and made it his own. His tone was reminiscent of Trower. Simon Wright on skins, right on. Very enjoyable. I wish I was there.
A great band and extraordinary guitarist. Good enough for me to enjoy without thinking about the inevitable comparison with legendary Hendrix. Takes brass balls to redo Hendrix period. To do it and kill, is simply amazing!!

No. This is a cover of Voodoo Child. Off the album Electric Lady Land. Hendrix on guitar and Steve Winwood on keys. Pat does a decent job here, but it's much shorter than the original, and there's no keyboards.
Love travers but if you dont know the tune dont play it...
