I used 3 Lily Sugar and Cream Cotton yarn. Each skein is 4oz./200yd

..this would be a perfect towel...BUT,....even with keeping my tension even, this towel has stretched as I crocheted..I wanted 14" x 24" to be consistent with the variety stitch set I am gifting my sister in law...I measured several times when I worked the base...the only reason I can think of, is stretching.....????...my ends are even...the towel has grown 1 1/2".....

Are you using cotton yarn?
