仏像は、見ると自然に手を合わせたくなる雰囲気を持っていますが、このMVのHYDEさんも、手を合わせたくなる神々しさがあり、素晴らしいです。
50歳を迎えても尚世界に挑み続け新境地を開拓しようとする。

本日2月6日にリリースされたシングルの表題曲である「ZIPANG」は、YOSHIKI（X JAPAN）がピアノで参加したオリエンタルなバラード。MVは世界遺産に登録されている京都の東寺で撮影された幻想的な内容で、YOSHIKIも出演している。なおシングルの初回限定盤Bに付属するDVDには、MVの本編映像に加え撮影時のドキュメンタリー映像が収められている。
hydeさんの詞は比喩が多くて奥が深いのが1番好きだがポップな曲にしろこの曲にしろ言葉の並びが美しいね。
sell my soulとか外国っぽい曲も作れるのに、日本の和の曲も作れるんですね‼︎
和のHYDEさんもとんでもなく美しくて、このまま極楽に導かれそう…

Hyde's voice is my favourite sound in the world since I heard him when I was nine years old. Now that I'm 30 I can confirm, it's still is the most beautiful thing I've ever heard.

Not a big fan of Japanese rock but after watching "Abroad in Japan's : I spent a week with Japan's Biggest rock star" and listening to little samples here and there in the video, I had to check this artist out. He seems down to earth and mellow in that video but now it is time to find out about his music.
Cryptic Tundra I hope you’ll like it and Hyde won’t disappoint you because his creativity is very diverse and fits many tastes.
He's been making music for 25 years... His main band is L'arc en Ceil, his solo projects as hyde only include the soft rock album Roentgen, hard rock album 666(rokurokuroku), faith, and his current work ANTI. His other band is VAMPS, they have four albums as well. SO If you want to check out his solo works, do give them all a listen (roentgen, that I am likely misspelling, is actually in English as well as Japanese). Not sure what you're into but my personal faves from his solo works are

Personally my favorite song from his solo works has to be A drop of color or Evergreen rock version. Best album for me is Faith. Solid all the way through.

What do you get when you combine two of Japan's greatest musicians of all time? A masterpiece and that is exactly what this song is. HYDE's extensive vocal range, combined with the classical prowess of YOSHIKI on piano makes for an elegant, beautiful melody that conveys past Japanese culture. Amazing, amazing collaboration!

Teemeah I didn’t say Yoshiki wrote the piano melody, did I? No. He plays beautifully, therefore the melody is beautiful.
Lyrical beauty. When Hyde announced that he would resume his solo activities, my instant thought was "give me a great power ballad!", and after three singles, here it is, one of his best works. I only don't like that it's a rather short track, but it's so beautiful. Soothing and then strong vocals, regal imagery and one true master on the piano.
