HYDE, one of Japan's most prolific rock artists, is the lead vocalist for L'Arc~en~Ciel, VAMPS, and recently most active with his solo project. Throughout his career, HYDE has performed sold out shows at the famous Tokyo Dome 16 times, has over 60 top 10 singles on the Japanese Oricon Music Charts, sold over 40 million albums, and performed a sold-out show on the deck of the U.S.S. Missouri in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, just to name a few of his many accolades. HYDE's latest album “ANTI” was digitally released globally on May 3rd, 2019, timed to kick off a Spring US tour headlined by In This Moment, culminating with a sold out solo show in Los Angeles, quickly followed by his Fall 2019 tour with Starset, Palisades, and A Brilliant Lie.

Duran Duran's pop version of this is Okay for me. But this rock-infused/ orchestral version of Hyde is just over-the-top! I'm in awe...

This is the best cover of this song I have ever run across. Very good job, and it's going on my favorites. Just ran across him tonight on another channel. Almost 3 decades from what I hear, he's been belting them out, very impressive vocal sound. Well, off to the next song. Got to look up his history now.

しかも近年は本当に本当に歌が上手い。基本ロックだけど、それもアメリカンロックのようや声の時もあるし、U.K.ロックのような声の時もあるし、オペラ歌手のような時すらあるし、もう本当にね、声が凄くて凄くて。まさかこんなオジサマにここまで惚れてしまうとは思わなかったー（笑）可愛くて格好良い人って初めてだわ。

As a Gen-X Duran Duran fan, a musician myself, and lucky enough to have seen Duran in concert in the 80s...I'm weighing in on this one.
This guy hit a home run with this rendition. I love it, masterfully done!
Ordinary world is one of my favourite Duran Duran songs (second to 'The Wild Boys') and Hyde not only nail's the ball and knocks it out of the park, but I think the poor ball is orbiting the sun by now... The rock/ orchestral arrangement of this song is perfect and this song really suites Hyde's voice! This is most DEFINITELY my favourite version of this song!

When I saw the title I was like 'Is it going to be Duran Duran or an original?', and I was delighted to hear his version of this heartrending classic. I had heard of Hyde before, but I only really started listening to his music after seeing Chris' video, and I'm truly glad I did. By now, I have seen Hyde's cover of Careless Whisper as well as of Endless Rain - there's something distinctly different about them; he somehow brings an entirely new sentiment to these timeless songs, which makes them undeniably his own yet also curiously familiar. It's unbelievable, his voice really is extraordinary.
Also, everybody is talking about America, but I would absolutely love his coming to Europe as well!
