      No!, i plant them and make another bonsai!. I know it's not looking good now, i don't prune it to looking good today but i prune it to looking good in 2-3 years so just let it grow.

    What soil mix do you use for your jade plants?

      Looks like Bonsai Jack's Gritty mix to me, but I'm not sure ^^

    It is incredible how these plants bounce back. I would invest in a better knife with a longer blade, though. This scares me...

    Is there anyway to encourage new branches on a cut trunk? Thanks

      Yes. Provide your cut trunk with optimal growing conditions and keep it healthy. The plant knows what to do.

    Love that it takes him ages to cut the thick branch. 🙄

    Can you propagate jade plants just with stem and no leaves?

    • @Begeegee
      @Begeegee 2 роки тому

      You can! When I pruned mine I thought it would be interesting to see if I could do this out of the cuttings. I made a cutting that was just a single node tall and it worked! However it has been the slowest growing of the cuttings.

      Yes you can!! Just keep in mind that please wait a couple day or a week to let the wound dry out before you plant them.

    I always cringe when I see people make videos about something they know nothing about. You didn’t make a ten year gollum jade into a bonsai. You simply put it in a smaller pot. And cutting wire with your plant nippers will ruin your nippers. They aren’t designed to cut wire.

      Go watch their most recent upload. This plant is absolutely now a bonsai. Don't be such a Donna Downer

    You can't even use a box cutter properly ... you made me cringe way too hard.
