Worm Girl's vid on the first game was recommended to me too often to ignore when I was watching some lore vids and grinding stuff. Fell down the rabbit hole so hard and can't get out, the games, world, lore, story and characters are all so fascinating.
Make sure you play the game thoroughly before you watch the lore ones. Let me warn you though F&H2 lore iceberg is MASSIVE. I still haven't figured much of it out.
My very first experience with F&H: Termina was finding a hacksaw (purely by chance) in the train. I proceeded to cut off all my limbs save for my right arm (cause realistically you can saw the very arm you're sawing by yourself) and had to play the rest of the intro with no legs and just an arm. Thankfully, it was just a "dream" but still it was pretty cool.
Thanks for the shout out! You might be interested to learn that I also got pulled into the series by a random UA-cam recommendation that sent me to a video about weird RPG maker games by Majuular. I was just scrolling through Dagoth Ur memes or something and bam: ua-cam.com/video/kHoCSK1ikfI/v-deo.html Something funny about your idea to offer up your own arm is that it sort of mirror's Daan's backstory. It's implied that when he tried to save Elise, he offered up his own eye (and whatever else he could spare) to Vitruvia to try to save his wife. He can even get a skill where he can sacrifice a limb to save a dying party member in battle. So even if the ritual circle thing didn't work out, it's really cool that it prompted you to think in a way that mirrors how things work in the lore.
Woah, this is pretty cool! Your videos are fantastic, and you deserve a lot of credit for your hard work! That's funny how the recommendation also got you into the series too (I gotta check out that video for some sweet new games). I didn't even think of that comparison between my actions and Daan's backstory, but that makes me appreciate that mistake way more. Thanks for checking this out, looking forward to your future videos! You honor the Sixth house and the tribe unmourned.
Absolutely amazing to see new people picking this up and making video essays about it. No matter how much people review or make anything about this game does not tire me out.
I have become addicted to this series. I just got ending a in 1 and just started playing 2. I often find myself thinking about the lore of this world even when I stop playing
Going in deep "rabbit holes" is my life, may the way of the underground reign supreme. Anyway, it's good to see more videos about Fear and Hunger recently (or maybe it's just the algorithm recommending me more of it), honestly I have only seen one other review of them, also yours is pretty good, I really like how immersive your reviews are, they have a vibe similar to a friend telling you the experience\s they have with media they're passionate about.
Cool video man, thanks for the shout out at the start! The bit where you sawed off your arm for no reason was hilarious, because your thought process totally tracks. It took me forever to figure out how those summoning circles worked. May the algorithm bless you as it blessed me. 🙏
Thank you Zuldim, your video convering the game is amazing, you earned all those views (And more)! And thanks about the arm thing, I'm glad I wasn't the only one who was taken aback with those pesky circles lol.
Fun little fact: Needles' face and sudden gun attack is a reference to a the movie 'Terrifier'. There's a scene where the murderous clown seems to be losing in a fight only to pull that move and shooting the other person.
That beginning monologue about the many rabbit holes was so relatable, I've been so obsessed with these games and the Lobotomy Corporation games but there's a lack of content for both :(.
As Needles is a reference to Art the Clown, pulling out the gun is a reference to him. In the first movie he was kinda getting his ass kicked by one of the mcs but he just pulled a gun to execute her
In my first playthrough as Marina I butchered all the other contestants along with all bigger bosses I could find. Black orb, smog , blood golem and blood sword do wonders ❤️ I lost an arm the last day but I managed without it before getting an ending. I did raise som ghouls in the beginning to use as pawns, but in the end I offered them to Go-goroth and played solo until the end. Before I lost an arm I used gunshots on father Hugo among other enemies, so I did not have to fight them. Needles was killed in one shot with Black orb 👁️👄👁️ two shots of that on Woodsman too!
Found this game with an All Bosses video and saw the strangeness of the enemies, then watched Zuldim's video on both games. Now I own both, finally beat F&H 1, and now enjoying Termina with every character (Side note, Marcoh and Abella are def my favorite for how versatile they are). This is what I think is the best indie horror to have come out in the last couple years
That's awesome! I gotta agree, there's something so intriguing and incredibly fun about this game ( Will check out the first one at some point). Glad to hear your enjoying the games and thanks for watching!
I'm very honored for such a nice comment, thank you for the kind words. The video I'm working next should hopefully satisfy that desire, hope you like it when it comes out (it's gonna be a longer one)
My first run was as Karin and made the mistake of sleeping on the bed in the same house as the dark priest I was swiftly beaten to a pulp and to my shock not sure if it was a glitch or bug my character has an out of body experience and I find myself cruseified with no legs surrounded by villigers that gave me chills august was kind enough to save me but I didn’t live long after that point
I've been sneaking into comments sections, recommending the F&H series or one of the specific games to anyone who expresses even the slightest hint of affinity to their subject matter, themes, settings, gameplay, or tone (or breathes). I'm doing my part 💪
25:01 😂😂😂 accurate mood when playing the game for the first time. now on my fourth playthrough I'm just like "hey Needles, my bear trap and rifle just want to say hi" (except I'm still terrified of those stairs because a Death Mask oh so conveniently decided to pop up there😢) btw the soldier Karin mentioned was referring to Pav, not Levi. though if you dont meet Pav in the demo that's a passable misunderstanding
I've now been playing for probably 12 hours on easy and I've died quite a few times. Now I'm doing pretty good aside from not knowing what to do or where to go but I'm having fun. I also chose Daan and now I'm running around with my mechanic friend and an addict soldier, while carrying around a massive bag of organs.
@@Pollymacho I just finished Ending A and I have to tell you that was one bitch of a challenge. Ending C doesn't sound that easy but hopefully easier than A.
While I do like a good dash skill, I could see him being focused on adding to the full game that he may be done with the demo at the moment. Whatever the case is, thanks for watching!
I think the one complaint I have with Termina compared to F&H1 is that saving is harder to do. Sure you can get the contestant heads but I'm usually in the camp of always keeping as much people alive as possible. Yeah I do know about the doppelgangers and I am on a quest to find all of them. And of course there's the God of Fear and Hunger if you got the skin bible. Still lot of shit to find.
Well, there's a glaring mistake - the soldier that "ran off" was not the kid, it was the officer. The one in the literal Thumbnail, wearing a peek'd cap?
I played both games, and I can say Termina is way better than the F&H1, so you can jump to termina with no problem. I hope the next game to be set in Vinland, even the most badasses of the Fear&Hunger universe think that place is a f*ckup sh*thole....
Thanks for the nice words, even if we enter the dark ages and the channel disappears, I'm really thankful for the audience that is curious about my videos and others checking out the game I talk about. Thanks for watching!

for me it was super eyepatch wolf
The fun thing about UA-cam videos on this game is the inventive ways people censor the private parts.
NoCommentary just finished a censorship mod of the first game! Link on their UA-cam channel.
Or the giga chads that just don't censor
