Is there by any means you could help us by suggesting what are the Technical subjects or Technical skills we must have or should learn even before applying for a MS degree in USA... What should our resumes have after our UG completion... Does doing Internships and winning in a lot of competitions during our UG an added advantage?... If not, what makes a good skillful applicant. Dear Abhishek...I have the experience of working in Sweden and UK for many years, and I want to give you some advice in addition to what Ms Pratheeba Bala gives in her videos. I would strongly advice you to gain as much knowledge as possible to become a Full Stack Developer. For example, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, AngularJS, React, PHP, .NET, Python, Ajax, Bootstrap, MongoDB and SQL. This could take time and hard work. As you are a student, you may have to find time for your academic coursework (which is the most important) and time for gaining knowledge on skills I mentioned above. If you are able to gain sufficient knowledge in all of the above (one after the other starting with HTML and CSS) and then go to US to study MS degree, I can say with 100% certainty that you will have all the skills you need to get a job in US. Finally, Please don't make the mistake of setting yourself a deadline (say six months or one year) to gain knowledge on the skills I mentioned. These skills will take time to master. Give yourself six months time to get a good knowledge of HTML and CSS, and move to other skills I mentioned. Someone who climbs a mountain does not do that to break the speed record in climbing. Slow and Steady wins the race. Good Luck.

Hi sister..My husband planning to come USA first time by H1B visa.I have to quit my job and come there with my 1yr son as dependent. I have to wait for EAD till my husband get chance of immigration..It may take 5yr or more.But I have to do job there by changing visa type from H4 to H1B. I have completed UG-BE EEE and I have 7.5 yr experience in electrical design field in India..My current organization in India not ready to sponsor for H1B.They asked me to wait another 2year. You can’t work in usa in h4. But you can apply for h4ead which is different from greencard ead. With h4 ead you can work anywhere in usa.

Hi Stella, I don't know anything about Maharishi college and I just checked the web after you asked me. It looks ok and I don't know much about the courses. But if you are planning to apply, don't just apply for 1 university. Apply for at least 4 to 5 so that you can choose any university you want to go to. CPT and OPT option will be available with any universities as will be provided to F! - student visa.

Hi Priya, there are many ways to settle in USA but if you are taking the study route, then it is better to do STEM courses. STEM means - Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathemetics.

You need to apply to US colleges and check. It is very rare for a college to sponsor visa unless the candidate is extraordinary. By the way, most of the colleges require doctorate degree.

Hi congrats. I am not the best in providing the feedback on the best place to live. But i love PA as i came here and lived here for around 17 years. I traveled to NJ and NY but i am always back here. I feel living cost is fine compared to other states, then you can find job in tri state area (PA, NJ, NY). This is just my choice.

Usually companies conduct many levels of interviews before hiring any person. They usually don't ask for any money from the candidate. Also check your company's name in google or search for this kind of offer letter coming from this company. Sometimes people would report fake letters and it will show up in search.

Hi Sindhu, Pharmacy is a good field. But job searching is not different from other fields. You need to apply for a job within India and if they sponsor you can come to USA. You need visa to come to USA and only a company can sponsor that. Usually when you apply for copanies here directly, they always say that they don't sponsor visa. Job is not a problem but visa is.

Hi Kalyan, At this time, all companies and government have stopped visas and particularly the visas which will lead to green card. So maybe that may be 1 reason. Also work visa sponsorship can be done by a company and not by any individual.

Karthik, vacancy is here but when one goes to another country, you need visa sponsorship to work in any country which is not your birth country. So usually you have to join a company in india and see whether they will sponsor your visa and send you to USA.

Hi Manoj, the best way is ask the people with whom you are working and in USA. That's your best bet. This way they know your interest and will keep in mind when an opportunity comes.

if you are looking for teaching jobs, you have to directly apply to the colleges in USA to see whether they will hire you. I cannot say never but the options are very less. Going to another country other than your birth country requires a visa and need someone particularly a company to sponsor it. So very difficult to directly search a job here without experience and without sponsorship.

I don't know any accounting firm. You can find a company in India and ask them whether they will send you abroad. Usually, from the software side, my friends joined a company in India and they came to the USA to work through them. Then you are free to move around by applying for a different visa or finding a different sponsor.

Hi Rajan, I can tell you what i think: Consulting company: Instead of joining full-time if we apply to the company on contract basis, usually it will go through a consulting company. Many large companies will have an approved supplier list and they will take candidates through this supplier. This supplier will be a consulting company and this supplier will work with other consulting companies to get the right candidates. Most of the people go through consulting company as i did the same before joining full-time.
Employment agency: Sometimes the large companies will not directly hire candidates as hiring is a time-consuming process. It has so many layers. They can work with an employment agency who can get them the right candidates even for full-time.
This is what i know. I hope it helps.

For example I came to know that altogether there are 50 design engineering software in the market in which 10 are top listed. If you know the design engineering software listed by employer you can apply but not sure you can get the job.
Few years ago there were not enough people in the market who knows the particular design software required by the employer. For that reason employer hired people with any design software knowledge and trained them for a particular design software they needed. Today situation has changed. Everything is up to demand and supply. Today supply is more than the demand.
