Awesome tutorial ! I am more of a fan of Dub and minimal techno , but i can totally see how this evolved into that sort of music, and how the same techniques and arrangement can be applied
Oops, was in the shower when this premiered. Love the increased production quality- it feels like the entire video is dripping with style. Also love seeing somebody else that uses the cheap Chinese pedals instead of paying 3x the price for the same thing.
Every week I watch your new vid for ideas, I get mad inspired, pick up my Syntakt and bang out a few savage jams !! 💣💥😎 Love the channel bud, it's gonna get massive, keep goin' !! ❤
@@GUNJACKOFFICIAL didn't know or recall the let it be records (RIP) or first ave connection. i was just a 15 year old at the time having his sober mind blown by amazing electronic music every saturday night.
I don't mind this kind of ad at all. I wish everybody'd just show some of their music instead of babbling about Nord VPN or whatever. Unfortunately most big channels aren't actually people who make much music so I guess they can't do that LOL
Agreed! The ad could be longer even, show more of the tracks, maybe only a full set of the ads? And mix from one track to the next? I’d call it a mix set or so. Yes, that would be lovely!
When you say 6 step pattern do you mean that is the length and you trigger a stab on all 6 steps? Or are you just triggering a stab on 2 steps but letting the pattern run for 6 instead of 16?
Great content! Kind of remind me of some old Umek records. Quick question- the chord sequence was just two alternating chords on quarter notes in a 6 step pattern or a polyrhythm?
Hey! Thanks for watching! I do believe the polyrhythm you are hearing is the delay on the ju-06a... It's just a six step polymetric pattern that has those two high notes and several low ones in between, also the ju-06a is set to chord mode and i believe that's a SEVENTH chord if i am not mistaken! Hope this helps!
Love it, but not sure I understand the six step pattern triplet pattern, you mean it is repeating on 6 steps and not 16? or?... kind of a beginner here , so some of the talks fly's over my head 😅
@@GUNJACKOFFICIAL Wakaru. I've been there as well, around the same time. I think I've seen you, I kind of remember. At Grassroots, in Koenji, maybe. Big sub to your channel!
sounds awesome- big fan of seeing dawless techno jammed out that actually sounds pro

Wow, this was the best ad I've ever seen, just a quick musical intermission. No one trying to sell me some scam subscription for a vpn
First video I watched and subscribed. I remember you from Erutufon.

i have a weird minneapolis question who was the techno dj that used to play on rev105fm around 1996? that station was amazing.
Aaaaand the answer is: KEVIN COLE or DJ ALIAS on the DEPTH PROBE show
@@GUNJACKOFFICIAL AMAZING !!!! thank you, that show changed my life.

@@landonh3535 there are chords on all 6 steps, it’s just that the two high chords are what grab the attention
@@GUNJACKOFFICIAL Thanks so much. Your channel is legit. Appreciate you sharing the musical tricks like this that really make a track come alive.
brother where did you get your skin for tr8? Great vid as usual! Also lovin the RCA cables into the adapters into the pedal. That takes me back! LOL

@@mikaelmarklund7908 yep exactly that, 6 steps instead of 16. On most devices you can set the pattern length, sometimes it’s called “last step”.

Is that a white TR8?
@@cl1xor it’s a skin. 909 style knobs too.
This music is rad, but I'd wish you'd slow down and describe the melody and bass line individually.
will try
What’s that white box. Is that Roland TR-8S or is it a midi controller?
Roland tr8 with a 909 skin
What were the chords then ? 😂
a simple seventh chord spread out on the keys of the ju06a like I said in the video
