I gotta say I can't recall one person ever saying anything negative about Hawkins, and he's been famous for over 20 years. I always viewed him as Dave's counterpart in The Foo Fighters. They were the two biggest personalities in the band. R.I.P 🙏

I was lucky enough to meet Taylor a few times years ago, and Machine Gun Kelly described him perfectly. Hawkins greeted even the fans with the utmost respect, asked them questions about who they were and where they were from, and made them feel like the absolute center of attention. He didn't take his place for granted in the world... and the way Taylor made others feel will be a huge part of his legacy. I'm going to miss him a lot, as will plenty of others out there.

It's impressive how close every musicians are and the outpour of respect there is for Hawkins, from Elton John, to MGK, Miley Cyrus... He clearly touched many people throughout his life

I got to meet Taylor for a brief moment in 2010. He had one of his sons on his shoulders n I told him how much I loved FF ... his smile enlightened those few seconds n I knew that was gonna stick w me forever. RIP🥺

That is very kind and heartfelt of MGK to share that story, specifically directed to TH’s children. This is a tragedy for the rest of the world, but for Alison and especially their children… that’s the real tragedy: children losing a parent far too young. To say “may God bless them” feels very pithy, but I hope someone or something looks out for them both.

I can't stop crying. I just keep thinking about his wife & kids & their unimaginable pain. Of course Dave & the band are crushed, & all of us fans, but our pain cannot possibly compare to theirs. May they find comfort in the memories of the love they shared with Taylor. I hope those memories can bring peace to their broken hearts. This hits hard 💔

I didn't know he worked with Mac and Linkin Park tho. I was surprised to hear Chester and Chris Cornell had such a strong friendship. All so tragic regardless.

@@bluecollar825 mgk had been performing with linkin park for quite a few shows. he was supposed to start touring with them before chester passed away, and the remaining members had mgk perform at a tribute concert for chester. he was close to mac as well, they'd been in the studio a few times together.

I can’t stop crying. Hearing of Taylor Hawkin’s kindness and humanity from people that knew him makes his passing so much more overwhelming for at least this fan. Comforting, but so sad his light is gone.
I had hoped to hear him sing in May. I saw Queen in the early 80s. And I couldn’t believe Taylor Hawkins’ cover of Somebody To Love. Taylor was the only living singer that did that song justice.
