Poe didn't exist to me 3 months ago. For some reason steam threw the new season in front of me. I gave it whirl and became borderline addicted to it. Now I'm more excited about the sequel of a teen year old game that I didn't know existed. Than I thought possible
Welcome to Wraeclast, fellow exile. I played the beta back in 2013 and have been on and off since. PoE2 will be the true next advancement in the ARPG genre. November is gonna be one hell of a month.
i do still think CENTERED skill bar + globes are best overall, silly stubborn and entitled designers~they didnt change it even knowing is better to avoid eye stress and strain looking up all time corners for ManaGlobe+ SkillBar then LifeGlobe on left.
I genuinely hope they keep the somewhat realistic feel of having to dodge enemies and cleverly use your spells and stay away from the massive armies of useless monsters that get nuked with one button. It looks just so much more engaging
Even though the tree is totally new it still feels reminiscent of the old one. There is lightning and fire clusters at the top for the casters, bow and dex stuff on the right and melee on the left. Really liking the look of it personally.

As much as I'm looking forward to playing the Witch, the Merc seems like he will be fun to play. I noticed that each skill has a number of charges and sounds like you have to reload but I don't see a reload butting unless you press the same skill to reload you shots. Definitely think the Sorceress will feel like she's underwhelming but there's so much potential that I see. You can't just try and barrel through like you do in POE. I really like the slower more combo oriented gameplay. I think the divide between POE and POE2 player will be clear speed/one button play-style to this. I get the allure for map clear speed but this looks so much more engaging. The Ranger? Well, I've seen enough of her. Of the new classes I'm Looking forward to play all of them. Especially the Merc. Followed by the Huntress, Druid, Monk, and finally the Sorc. Can't forget the Witch, and Templar, Maybe the Marauder too.
It's actually even more like D2 in that way. Just let the player decide what main stats to build. I do hope that the "Beef" node is still somehow worked into POE2's passive skill tree as it was my favorite of the stat nodes lol.
Don't get me wrong but it's never issues about fidelity of graphics but art direction and how it is put together. Shadows and lights, contrasts between soft and sharp, color palette, smooth and jagged etc poe2 looks amazing thanks to that, of course quality of assets, beautiful textures are needed as well. Just like with elden ring, which doesn't have next tier graphics yet is vastly more beautiful compared to many more expensive projects. GGG team clearly knows what they are doing
@@Bazgracz The UI its the only thing that i dislike. Menus, item sprites. Looks really dated and does not blend correctly with the sharpness of the graphics
At sorceress, I saw you pick Mouse movement, but looks like a WASD movement (casting while moving). Did you change back, or the last inputted movement is going through while you are walking?
The dodge roll is not a travel skill. The time it takes to go from point a to point b is identical to if you had just walked there. The dodge roll is faster at the start and slows down so that initial burst isn't nothing. But more importantly, it cancels animations and allows you to dodge while in the middle of an animation. But just randomly rolling doesn't speed you up.
Wow! This looks mindblowing to me.. That boss fight “the iron count”. I was at the edge of my seat.. I mean. This just looks like a truely fun game to me. Like in the old days 🙂
@empleyadoph2098 just varies on the individual I enjoy it A few times have played from full battery to empty or full battery to linking a power bank whilst playing Just make sure ur power bank is 65watts if below u will actually drain the battery and get less play time Sometimes can get hand fatigue depends on you and seating position or lying down position Lcd runs around 2 hours depends what frames running poe 30+ or 60 Oled steam gives me 4+ hours on 60 + frames Much better for me The rog ally is the worst 45-60min but that's playing Max settings Apologies for the novel
Hi Terence. Would you mind if I could use your footage for some content I have planned for Poe 2. I will of course reference your video and source etc.
oh hell no, you mean this simple d2 with an same low skill tree like d4 , where you need not build an char .. maybe if no other arpg on marked... oh yes that is why ppl and me too have played d2 a lot.. no other game like this was ready .. but d2 is not an good game.
This issue for ARPGs will never be solved, because there is simply no solution to it. Just accept that controller play will have inferior aiming and move on buddy
Seems like dodging(no cost) through to the end boss without any walking is the way to go.. If monsters follow... -Maybe a CC skill could come in handy??? This guy uses no CC at all.. Amazed he kept himself alive..
Which one is the guts character? Thats all I need to know. Which build will let me swing a big ol dragonslayer greatsword around and cleave fools into pieces? And no Im not talking about some splitting steel champion semi melee build. Or lacerate which is definitely just ranged...I mean PURE MELEE SLICE AND DICE HOLY SHIT MAKE IT HAPPEN TRIPLE G
If the werewolf form of the druid is similar to the one we saw that the iron count boss was using. Ill be a druid main for all my PoE2 journey i swear.
Always wanted to get into PoE and have been trying really hard to get into it this season but man I think there's just too many mechanics and too much to learn for me to truly be able to get into it at this point, I just can't be arsed to watch 100 8 hour guides to understand the basics and a majority of the build guides out there are so hard to follow that you need a guide in order to be able to understand the build guide. Super excited for PoE 2 as I'm hoping it'll be a better spot for me to jump into and not have to learn 10 years worth of added game mechanics.
I hope they get some actual anti aliasing in the game because that looks rough up close, especially the character select screen. DLSS would be best. Game itself looks amazing though, I feel they're setting the blueprint for the entire ARPG genre moving forward, this is not a D2 clone anymore.
they have the tree and unique items hidden untill release because its a very cool part of discovering the game with no information so skill tree is mostly temporary
Scion is gone so all classes start from the center. Classes still start in the same direction as poe 1. The starter nodes do change based which class you chose.
The reason I am most excited about this is the fact this game uses twin stick motion (left joystick for moving and right joystick for turning). This control scheme is superior, imo, then the arpgs of old. It just adds an extra layer of dynamisms and engagement to combat. I realized this when I played the game The Ascent.
Really hope the player character power is alot higher than what is shown and this is just for demonstration of skills/mechanics. I don't think there is much fun in slowing down killing white and blue mobs to a point where it requires several clicks to kill per pack.
The explosive grenades on merc feel like dogshit because they bounce before exploding. hopefully there is an option to remove that bounce and they can explode on contact.
Yeah, the devs showed that off in one of their older gameplay videos months ago. It turns into one singular grenade instead of 3 though if I remember correctly. Game looks amazing.
I'm not sure if it's the same player as the Ranger but it looked like he was trying to get to a Boss as he was to find the Iron Count. But yeah Sorc looks like she need to be more methodical in her approach to handling mobs. I think her spells just a need a little more umph damage wise but I think spells in general will be hard balance without going overboard. It's definitely a different style than what the Ranger or the Merc was doing.
I like how he facerolls everywhere and treats the game as it were poe1 and you could zoom without knowing or even giving a damn what's on your screen and why
Always happy to see gameplay in cave 653799. 2024 and devs still make these empty bland caves just baffles me. Game is going to be great no doubt but damn that level design is outdated.
I have watched a lot of videos and the quality of graphics are amazing... why this one looks so bad?, something is wrong with the pc settings you are using.
I wonder how many people are going to make builds just based off of the picture it’ll make on the skill tree 😂 like making a cool pattern on your scantron when you didn’t study

welcome to the family. exciting times ahead
Also we can clearly see that dodge-rolling into 5 enemies is not a proper way to play a range class like sorc
I've been thinking this the whole time 😂😂😂😂😂 why are they rolling into enemies with a caster?
It's very frustrating watching someone else play so poorly 😅
We at the DODGE ROLL COMMUNITY FOR A BETTER WRAECLAST second this motion.

Anyone else notice that the mana and life globes reflect the lighting from the skills. I never noticed that before.
Yeah it did that even 5 years when they first showed poe2.
Yeah but only when your character alive, which is hard to tell in this video, at least for sorceress.

I like how the passives tree has the nodes shaped to look like the stuff they're reinforcing, that's such a nice touch!
Graphic settings were low res ...
No wayyy

I'm surprised that Iron Count is still alive after that fight.
You can hear tired breathing coming specifically from him.
maybe more story after that, who knows. But its just legendary to have such small detail after a bossfight
Dude, the wheel that brute slammed into the bridge getting stuck is such crazy attention to detail by the devs.
Those particle effects, especially on the sorc spells are out of this world

You can walk backwards and sideways while using skills at the same time. With both wasd and mouse
