- Swarbrick and Nicol, taken from a BBC feature on the Chichester Festival, UK August 1982. This is from the years inbetween Fairport's split in 1979, their increasingly regular gigs and their eventual reformation (minus Swarb) in 1985. Dave and Simon also performed regularly as a duo over the years.

Amazing thank you
Swarbs is a savage player....
What a great duo. Simon Nicol matches Dave Swarbrick note for note in the instrumental sections.
I finally got to see Fairport Convention live, as the opening act for Jethro Tull, during the Crest of a Knave tour. Fairport played this tune, was my favorite song that they played. Dave Pegg played bass in both bands. Awesome shows from both.
Dave Pegg, monster bassist.
Nice to see an audience going completely nuts.
great stuff,fantastic vocals from Simon
Brill duet - Swarb has a sound uniquely his own and Simon Nicol as mentioned matches Swarb note for note !
I saw FC at Glastonbury fair 1971. I think we danced for 3 days.
Announcer sounds like her off The Daily Mash!
Nice to hear music where the spectators wait for the music to be finished before they start beating their hands together..... eh Bertil?
Every time I saw Swarb he had a cigarette in his mouth, except when he was singing.
There are Cropedy shows where he is singing with a ciggy in his mouth! Ha!
Is this a real mansion or a bbc set ?
Real
@@petdoe8938 bit like where Matty Groves was immortalised
Great playing, but the audience looks like they are stuffed!
