UWorld is absolutely amazing. Use tutor mode, take notes on questions you get wrong and read the rationales, it will teach you to think like a nurse. When you encounter questions with options you dont even understand, you'll still be able to have a good shot at making a best educated guess and get it right because you can apply the strategies and way of thinking like a nurse. You are given the most important peices of information and can discover where your strengths and weaknesses are. The vast amount of questions and repetition of applying your knowledge is so helpful. You will also become confident with select all that apply questions. UWorld teaches you how to apply simple rules in coming up with answers. Obviously you still need to have the basic knowledge but thats what nursing school is for and once you get past it, UWorld helps you to learn how to apply it. I highly recommend.

Kenesha! Thank you for this awesome video. I take my NCLEX in less than a month and I realize one of my biggest problems is not choosing the answer my gut initially tells me. For example when doing UWorld, I read the question, read the answers, say to myself at one point "that must be right", but after reading the next answer, I choose a different answer. How in the world do I just trust my gut and choose that first answer I feel is right? How did you trust your gut? I would love to hear any advise or words of wisdom from you. Sydney Brownstein I would read the question twice before selecting a answer choice. After reading the question twice then I would use process of elimination. Once I picked my answer I would click next to keep me from second guessing myself
Its normal to be nervous. You just have to believe in yourself! You made it through nursing school so do not let this test intimidate you. Study everyday and go in and knock it out!

I believe I finished within two hours. They give you 4 which is more than enough time to complete the test so take your time and try not to focus on how long it takes to complete. Good luck!

I test soon, and I am so nervous about it. Also using uworld. May I ask, what was your process of thinking through a question you didn't know the content (if you had any of those)
With content that was not familiar to me I would read each answer choice and jot down things I did know about each and hopefully that helped. If that still didn't help me I would honestly just choose one. If I didn't know I just didn't know it. I didn't see the point of spending too much time on it.
A good thing to remember is that you can't know everything and you won't truly feel prepared because you don't know what you don't know. I have to remember that myself because my anxiety will take over. Usually if I don't know something, I try to figure out what the question is about and look for something similar in the answers. Then apply knowledge based on how to answer questions. If that doesn't work, then I go to common sense. If that doesn't work, then I just flat out guess. On top of that, if its something I never heard of I put it on a flash card. Hope this helps!
I passed using uworld in only 60 questions! I would say try to study for two weeks doing 3 hours a day and make notecards/ write notes! Then the one more week (week 3) try to study 5 hours a day writing notes over the questions and reviewing them! Also write out all lab values and make notecards on them
To me I think you passing is based on what test they give you. You either know it or you don’t. You can study all you want but you don’t know what they gone give you on those test. Some of ours is easy some is not. I just know I had a very comprehensive test 🤦🏾♀️ Studying over for it is really bothering me 🙄. I don’t know how long to test. I have U world and that s**t is stressing me out. I honestly feel like some of us gone get caught in the good wind of it and some of us the bad

That’s not true though‼️ I done some questions based off priority and everything the answer would still be wrong. ATI taught me different than UWORLD. I took the Nclex before I used U world and I don’t see the comparison with the Nclex at all‼️
Nursing students: As soon as you get your ATT number schedule your test to make sure you secure a spot. You could always postpone. Try to choose a site that is easy to get to so you don't have to stress to get there. You also should try to take it within 3 months while the information is fresh in your brain.
I took my assessment a week before the exam so I could get an idea of what areas I may need more practice in. I wouldn't focus so much on the score and more so on whether or not you understand what the question is asking and the material. My score were not the best at all.
I just took mine that was rescheduled twice and unfortunately I failed but like you said God doesn’t bring me this far to leave me! Taking it again in September and I will pass this time! 🙏🏼 taking your advice and congrats♥️

Its a faster way to see if you passed or not by trying to schedule another exam through pearson vue. I did mines a hour after my test and got the good pop up. I would look up some videos that can walk you through it. Also, remember to use a different CVV number.
I was currently using saunders comprehensive book for content coz i graduated yr 2007😻 and planning on purchasing uworld 3mos b4 my schedule. Im staying POSITIVE coz i want to become an RN here in US❤️

Shana Miller I’m not sure if the assessment broke down each area. I can’t remember and I’m unable to look at mines since they only give a certain amount of time. I test soon, and I am so nervous about it. Also using uworld. May I ask, what was your process of thinking through a question you didn't know the content (if you had any of those)
With content that was not familiar to me I would read each answer choice and jot down things I did know about each and hopefully that helped. If that still didn't help me I would honestly just choose one. If I didn't know I just didn't know it. I didn't see the point of spending too much time on it.
A good thing to remember is that you can't know everything and you won't truly feel prepared because you don't know what you don't know. I have to remember that myself because my anxiety will take over. Usually if I don't know something, I try to figure out what the question is about and look for something similar in the answers. Then apply knowledge based on how to answer questions. If that doesn't work, then I go to common sense. If that doesn't work, then I just flat out guess. On top of that, if its something I never heard of I put it on a flash card. Hope this helps!

I passed using uworld in only 60 questions! I would say try to study for two weeks doing 3 hours a day and make notecards/ write notes! Then the one more week (week 3) try to study 5 hours a day writing notes over the questions and reviewing them! Also write out all lab values and make notecards on them

To me I think you passing is based on what test they give you. You either know it or you don’t. You can study all you want but you don’t know what they gone give you on those test. Some of ours is easy some is not. I just know I had a very comprehensive test 🤦🏾♀️ Studying over for it is really bothering me 🙄. I don’t know how long to test. I have U world and that s**t is stressing me out. I honestly feel like some of us gone get caught in the good wind of it and some of us the bad

That’s not true though‼️ I done some questions based off priority and everything the answer would still be wrong. ATI taught me different than UWORLD. I took the Nclex before I used U world and I don’t see the comparison with the Nclex at all‼️

Nursing students: As soon as you get your ATT number schedule your test to make sure you secure a spot. You could always postpone. Try to choose a site that is easy to get to so you don't have to stress to get there. You also should try to take it within 3 months while the information is fresh in your brain.
I’m getting between 50-60%. Haven’t done my assessment yet. I test in 2 weeks and I’m nervous
I took my assessment a week before the exam so I could get an idea of what areas I may need more practice in. I wouldn't focus so much on the score and more so on whether or not you understand what the question is asking and the material. My score were not the best at all.
I just took mine that was rescheduled twice and unfortunately I failed but like you said God doesn’t bring me this far to leave me! Taking it again in September and I will pass this time! 🙏🏼 taking your advice and congrats♥️

Whats the Pearson vue trick ? And how long after the test can u try ??? Please someone tell me ??
Its a faster way to see if you passed or not by trying to schedule another exam through pearson vue. I did mines a hour after my test and got the good pop up. I would look up some videos that can walk you through it. Also, remember to use a different CVV number.

I would say long because each question is giving you like a scenario like regular nursing exams.

Olisha Evans I’m not going to lie SATA was majority of my test but don’t let that discourage you! What helped me with those was going with my first answer. Don’t doubt yourself.

Shana Miller I’m not sure if the assessment broke down each area. I can’t remember and I’m unable to look at mines since they only give a certain amount of time. I definitely reviewed the test and made notes on what questions I answered incorrectly. Good luck on the exam I’m sure you will pass using uworld! ❤️❤️

I enjoyed life and failed the Nclex‼️Now I’m trying to figure out how to pass it. My NCLEX was so complicated. Scheduled took it in March failed it now studying and I feel like I’m losing all information. I need to know how long to take my Nclex UWorld is kicking my ass 🤦🏾♀️ It’s making me feel insecure about my test 🤦🏾♀️
Do you know exactly what type of questions you found difficult throughout the test? Uworld prepares you on how to answer the Nclex questions it may not be the same info but the same type of questions. Are you finding Uworld similar to the Nclex?
What kinda of percentage were you getting on UWorld? And on your assessment?
My percentage was in the 40s and I made like a 60 on the assessment.
