Your very welcome, with my health conditions i am finding it harder and harder to even get insurance. Pay less 4 has been my lifeline for travelling, think the main problems are not only the health conditions but also the added price of cruise and caribbean/USA cover. 🙂
Thanks Leanne for your lovely comments. Makes us so happy when people take time and trouble to comment. We hope that some of what we pass on will be useful to fellow cruisers, especially those going for the first time. Cruising is such fun, so much available for you to do and try onboard and such fabulous locations. July will soon be here and a real danger that you will get the cruising bug! Have a great time. 🚢🚢🚢🌞🌞🌞🍹🍹🍹💃💃💃😎😎😎
So kind of you to leave us such a lovely message and we are happy you are finding our advice helpful. September will soon be here, we have loved our last 2 Marella cruises and can't wait for our 3rd in July. So much fun to be had and so many great places to see. Warning, you may get the cruising bug though! 🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂
Hi the last trip on Explorer note on drinking machines state do not fill your own flasks . Decanter in cabin to be used. Reason contamination spreading around ship Hygiene .........
Thats very interesting to know thank you. We haven't seen a note and have to say most people you see at the machines are filling their own flasks, this does not make it right at all. Think the problem with decanters and no fridge is that the water soon becomes warm and also that you cannot take the decanters ashore and you have to buy water. The bottles they sell as you leave the ship are very small. I will look into this further and will maybe discuss it in our live feed tonight. Health/hygiene is of course something not to be taken lightly. 🤔
Hi, We bought a travel Parasol for our last trip ( Mexico- Pacific coast) it was great. Is it worth taking it on our trips to beaches of carribean islands. Fits in suitcase. Thank you.
Hi Paul. If you plan on hiring sun beds then on most beaches the sun beds are hired along with the parasols for a set price so i would say no you won't need your parasol. If you are happy to lie on the beach without a sun bed then it would be worth your while taking it. Hope this helps. 🙂
@@midatravel Yes. As we will be on the islands for only a few hours, we would not waste money on beds. Just a dip in the sea, then lay on towels under parasol. cheers
Thanks for watching and for your comment. We are on the Explorer in July so really pleased to hear that they have a fridge. Someone said they were starting to phase them out but we will soon see. 🚢🌞🌞🕶
thanks for such a useful video. We are travelling with our 3 year old in a few weeks on Marella Voyager!!! Regarding the drinks we haven't booked the premium drinks package, is it quite easy to get soft drinks anywhere on the boat that are all inclusive?
Hii Amanda, thanks for watching and for your lovely comments. The only difference with premium is that you can get soft drinks in cans. You have a self serve soft drinks dispenser in the kitchens restaurant for lunch and dinner, these have coke, diet coke and fanta orange. You can get soft drinks on tap from any of the bars so you should not have any problems at all. You can order soft drinks in the main restaurants also. We don't think premium is needed and sure you won't regret not having it. Have a lovely time, we love sailing with Marella. 🚢🚢🚢🙂🙂🙂🍹🍹🍹🌞🌞🌞
Thanks for your lovely comment, we really appreciate people taking trouble to let us know. Always spurs us on to put more video's out knowing they are helpful. June is not far away, i know how excited we get waiting. I'm sure you will love it. So much to do and even more fun when you have friends to enjoy the memories with. 🙂
We have been on Discovery 2 where there were no fridges and Marella Voyager where there were fridges. We are due to go on Explorer in an inside cabin in July but cannot say yet if it has a fridge or not, sorry. 🤔
Marella phasing out cabin fridges unless for medical reasons, ie insulin storage, they now do not appear on things in the cabin section.?? Many mentions on the FB group too.
Thanks for info. I have to say we have been on Marella Discovery 2 without a fridge and Voyager with a fridge. We did not use the fridge a great deal so don't think we personally would miss it too much. We only really kept a cup of milk in it and the occasional sandwich. Good to know that people who need them for medical reasons will still have access. 🚢🚢🚢🍹🍹🍹🌞🌞🌞
Hi Carol. I managed to get a look at an adapted cabin on Deck 5 of Explorer before leaving today. I will post the tour of the room when we get back. I was impressed but I am not the best judge.
@@midatravel no problem. Bit of slowness with claims and if you are in a different country than UK can be difficult getting the info they request. But we got there in the end.
Thank you for the useful information.😊
So glad you found the information useful and thanks for your comment in letting us know, it means a lot. 🙂
Thanks for the information on insurance, I have a heart problem though stable I knew insurance would be high.

Hi, we cruised on the Marella Explorer in 2022. we were on deck 9 inside cabins and had a fridge in our cabin.

Was that the Telford TUI Store? Looks very familiar
You got it, really good store, love the staff and the knowledge they have. 🙂
Thanks Mike, really useful info - we’ve got out first Marella cruise with some friends in June so this was great timing!

Please can you feature the adapted cabins. They are very different. The ships and we had a poor adapted cabin on our second cruise.

Staysure Insurance
Thanks for this info, will definitely get a quote from them when my renewal is due in August. Have heard good things about them on forums. 🙂
