Be aware, you will probably get the cruising bug! Such a lovely way to see so many places, cruising winter in the Caribbean is pretty special! Marella do a great itinerary, so few sea days meaning so many different islands. Sure you will both love it, always frustrates me when you can't get the list of excursions until you have access to cruise planner, usually 3 months before you go so i like to do these videos. I think its for everyone to make their choice and yes i agree with you its nice to just order what you want and at £80 a week for the premium its still really good value. Hi Vicky, thanks so much for your lovely comments, we do have a lot of fun on our Marella cruises. You can have the beds however you want them, singles or pushed together as a double. If they are not how you want them when you get to your room just mention it to a cabin attendant or ring reception and they will change them for you. We have been in an outside on the first 2 cruises with Marella, we like the split option so you can see out of window better and it also seems to makes it easier to move around and also makes the cabin appear bigger. Cheers Mazza. You are so right about the steak in Vista, we have always thought this was on a par with Surf and Turf. Vista has always been one of our favourite restaurants on any of the Marella ships we have been on. Disappointed with Surf and Turf and Kora La on Voyager but Dining Club and Umi Sushi were fabulous. Food on Voyager was superb, all the speciality restaurants were brilliant especially Silver Fork and Kora La. Not long for you now till you go, hope you have a fabulous time, Voyager probably our favourite Marella ship. 🙂🙂🙂🙂

We have done 14 cruises with Thomson /Marella and have always had the normal drinks package, but if you want to go premium you will be able to get branded spirits, brands, whiskey wines, but if you like Gordon's Gin or Smirnoff Vodka they are included in the normal drinks package, a tip, ask for Gordon's if you want a G and T, and Smirnoff if you want a Vodka with a mixer. 🍷

Wow, 14 is a lot, we have a bit yet to catch you up. Looking for next cruise with another company but so hard to tear myself away from Marella. Agree with the drinks, all inclusive would be fine for most. Good advice re the G&T's and Vodka. 🍹🍾🙂

Hi Nicola, we did not have any extra vaccinations for this cruise but i would say that it is worth ringing your Drs surgery and just getting their advice on the countries your visiting. Its a great cruise.

@@midatravel can I ask, do you remember roughly what time the music starts from? I have currently booked here to celebrate our 1 year anniversary but have booked an earlyish sit down time but wondering if I should make it later.

We wore smart shorts and had no problem at all. Certainly did not see any signs with dress code. 🙂

No you don't. You go straight from the airplane to the Port where they do the processing before boarding the ship. You do have to produce your Barbados visa, passports and ship boarding pass. You are given your room card, pass through the baggage check. It was so quick and easy. 🙂

@@midatravel they check your luggage again? I hate having to take my camera out all the time all the chargers and cables it's very annoying. I thought that before boarding the ship I don't have to do it a second time 🤮

Hi Iain. Really don't want to give you a wrong answer on this one. Have not been on a cruise with Marella for new year. We have been on a cruise on Christmas Day and it was absolutely fabulous. I would love to see the new year in on a cruise. I would imagine its a great night. Sorry i can't help you more. Hi, we are still fairly new to the live stream and still have a lot to learn. We did publish our stream on our facebook page but i do appreciate we are not helping people find us. Its always so helpful to us when people who have experienced the room give us their feedback, its so helpful to others who can now relate this video to your experience. So glad Explorer have got it so right and yet disappointing it is not standard across their fleet. Hopefully as refurbishments happen they will take notice and bring the adapted cabins up to scratch on all the ships. 🙂
