I just bought Mother-in Laws Gochugaru the other day and I was so surprised by the flavor. You're right it's not so hot, but it is really good! I've been making Mommy Tang's sauerkraut kimchi and I'm pretty sure it's my favorite meal right now! I look forward to adding it with green beans and rice tomorrow.

I have a lot of pain in my hip and I have been going to physio ((finally)) the therapist I have is certified in IMS (which I didn't know existed) it's like acupuncture but on your muscles and developed for chronic pain - it's fairly new, only physiotherapists and MDs are allowed to practice it in Canada after they're certified in it (of course)... It hurts a bit at the time but 3-24 hours later there's virtually no pain.. Something to try if you haven't already... The food day looks yummy!

I like the turmeric milk for the monthly cramps I get. It doesn't make them go away completely but it takes the edge off. It's also one of the few things I can keep down because I get nausea during that time too. It's a monthly adventure.

Mc Donalds in the Netherlands (and some other countries I believe) does have a vegan burger! It's definitely more of a veggie burger, with chunky pieces of vegetables in it, but very delicious and it had a fresh sandwich sauce. Sadly it's not in a lot of Dutch Mc Donalds restaurants, so I would have to travel 50 km if I want to get it...

    Food day:
Blueberry pancakes with flax, chia, whole wheat flour, and home made oat flour (I grind the seeds in a coffee grinder first then I grind the oatmeal)
Lemon drop melon throughout the day (acidic hybrid of a cantaloupe and tastes like candy)
    Pasta with veggies for lunch
    No idea for dinner yet
    Whisky later

Breakfast: “bitches brew” organic coffee ☕️, fresh guacamole (organic 🥑, sea salt, pepper, cayenne, lime juice, lemon juice & hemp seeds), with organic blue corn chips & an organic orange!
Lunch: organic kale, basil, cilantro, mango, wild blueberries, strawberries, banana & water (frozen organic fruit) smoothie
Snack: kasha almond, chocolate and sea salt vegan chewy granola bar OR 365 Cape Cod Trail mix
Dinner: something Asian with my husband or Mexican! Like a vegan burrito or Tom Yum noodle soup!
Dessert: maybe some vegan frozen yogurt (I live in LA so there’s many amazing places)

i'm the kind of vegan who likes to avoid a lot of the processed junk. i still consume processed foods like tomato sauce, plant milks, etc. just more on the healthy side of processed foods. i also completely avoid juice since the sugar in juice is processed in the body like artificial sugar because of the lack of fiber. also store bought juice is usually loaded with chemicals and added sugar.

I tried some Cashew vanilla ice cream a couple weeks ago, it was soooooo good, almost like the non-vegan ice cream and maybe even better in some ways! I remembered thinking "Veganism must be a damn nightmare where you can't eat anything but unsatisfying, tasteless plants n shit." Lol!! That is far from the case! It opens up a wholeeeeeee new world of cooking THAT still TASTES just as good as the world of non-vegan cooking. (Went Vegan for a little over a month a couple months ago and loved it) *Only reason I can't keep going is cause of how often I find myself having to go to the Grocery store to get a little bit things at a time but the bigger reason is cause I don't have that much time to be looking up recipes all the time (and usually, in my area I can't find certain things and SPROUTS/TRADER JOES are sooooo far from where I live) One day, hopefully soon, I hope to return to eating "Vegan", It feels great, it feels clean, and I even dropped 12 - 16 Pounds of FAT during just that one month. (18y/o btw) It's the FUTURE. I can already tell. I learned some recipes during that month I still use sometimes even when I'm eating in a NON-Vegan way the majority of the time. (I usually try to have at least 2 "VEGAN" Days per week.
My bad if this post got too long but maybe it'll inspire some non-vegans out there to give it a try or especially to those who just need some more persuasion getting into it. I personally never thought I could do it, not even for 2 WEEKS, I grew up the same as the other 70% or so of Americans who just try to eat Healthy "here and there" but Dr John McDougall and some other "Campbell" Dr. or something like that, motivated me enough to push me to do it for AN ENTIRE MONTH (like I said earlier) so maybe you guys can try watching a few of their videos if you got the time (some of them are around a hour long but definitely worth watching.) I actually had a whole week where I got randomly fascinated in Veganism and these guys are like the "Vegan Kings". Their down to earth personality really adds to them.

The "So Delicious" plain Cashew Cream is awesome. Tastes like caramel. But they stopped selling it here. 8'-(

Thank you, I will have to try the turmeric milk. I wonder if it will help the pain in my feet, which I only seem to have at night when I am sleeping. It is similar to diabetic pain (I am told by the way I describe it), except I am not a diabetic. My doctor said it is nerve pain because of my vitamin deficiencies, more specifically, b-12. I don't eat properly. I am not vegan - sorry - but I am a vegetarian. However, being protein deficient, anemic (iron deficient), vitamin d deficient, and b-12 deficient, as a vegetarian I really need to plan my meals and make sure I am eating the right things, but I am horrible at it. :( I do, however, have prescription b-12 along with my other prescription vitamins. With all of my prescriptions, though, I still have to resort to pain meds. I will have to try the milk, although I admit I am a little afraid. :) I love turmeric in my food, but I never drank it before so I am a little nervous about the taste. :)

I tried that So Delicious chocolate icecream ages ago and didn't care for it. I kind of want to try it again because I know they were having production issues. The caramel flavour is good, but I'm not a fan of caramel, so it was kinda meh... Still edible ;) The grocery stores here don't bother selling the plain flavour. :( The So Delicious gluten-free cookie dough is surprisingly good. Nothing tops Coconut Bliss peanut butter chocolate though!

Every day now is a day that I can hold the knife. I use gochugaru wherever it calls for chili flakes or hot pepper.

    1. My food day: Breakfast sammie with black coffee (Cafe Bustello). Sammie: A vegan sausage&egg McMuffin: Aunt Millie's 100% whole wheat (and vegan) english muffin toasted and buttered with vegan Earth Balance original butter. Sammie contents: Lightlife vegan breakfast snausage patty (from the tube), with a slab of tofu (vegan fried egg) fried in a pan with black salt (sulfery egg-yolk taste) and tumeric (color). No cheeze this time. Also, O.J. Lunch: a crappy vegan taco from Qdoba (do NOT get this). Dinner: Homemade (by me) chili (canned black beans, canned tomatoes, cumin, chili powder, ground flax, Dave's Insanity Sauce) with El Matador corn tortilla chips (a delicious meal).
    2. My current fave vegan ice cream is Ben & Jerry's Coffee Caramel Fudge (non-dairy).
    3. Which McD's burger you gonna make? Answer: "Two all beef patties special sauce lettuce cheese pickles onions on a sesame seed bun."

I put the turmeric mixture in a mug then drizzled in the maple syrup and stirred until it was completely mixed THEN I added my almond milk, stirred again and heated it. No settling of spices in the bottom of the mug🙂I drink this everyday now for my pain. Does anyone else get rapid heart after drinking it?

    Oh my gosh blackcurrent :(
When I was a kid I loved it but it made me throw up once so I haven’t drank it since. And that was almost 20 years ago 😂

Hey, I'm new to your channel, but now i've heard you talk about a pain in your hands a few times, and i was wondering what's wrong? (you have probably told it before, but i couldn't seem to find a video where you say it). I'm asking since my friend suffers from psoriatic arthritis and lupus and i would like to know if the tumeric milk could help her with the pain in her hands too:)

+Rikke Munk Welcome! I have repetitive strain. Turmeric acts like ibuprofen when it comes to reducing pains. It can interact with other medications so it is important to for her to speak with a doctor before trying turmeric for therapeutic use.
