My 8 year old Grandson saw this and fell in love with it. We are going to have to make one for him. Thank you for the great tutorial.
Awesome - I'm glad he likes it! Thank you!
Your grandson has very good tast.

That will be awesome!
Thats a great idea

Thank you! I'm really glad you like it.
I like it...and yeah, I can see the snakeskin. I think maybe it needs some brown/gold in it to really make the snake vibe more obvious.
Thank you! 🙂
I agree, being a snake 🐍 owner I would do it with brown and gold and yellow or burgundy dark red.
@@christinecat1981 I agree 👍
Thank you for making all these videos. I just started making my own tie dyes and your tutorials are very useful!
Cheers!
Awesome - I'm so glad you like them and that they are helpful to you. Thank you so much for watching! 🙂

It totally looks, loke snake, or better yet, croc skin! It’s awesome. 💚🤎💚
I agree - thank you!
I really like the look of it. I do a fold like this and call it fish scales. Love what you do:)
Thank you! I've done the same fold as fish scales too!
OMG, you're a trooper. I do not have that kind of patience. I would have rubber banded that in a heartbeat.

I already commented on the shirt once I must’ve seen this video before and forgot about it but I do love it and I can’t wait to make one I’ve been really busy making the first video that I saw on your website over two years ago and it was the geode ice day and I love that so much that I made a small business out of it and I’ve been making geode ice day T-shirts for a while and enjoyed it immensely.
That's awesome - I really love tie dyed geodes! I'm glad you've been able to make a business out of it.
Yes I feel like I owe it all to you too :-)

I really never got into tie dye til I met my wife lol, im a farm boy and she's a hippie, and she gave me the nickname ⛈ Thunder Moon🌙 and she is 🌞 sunshine dream... And ever since I've been into tie dye and I absolutely 💯 love this design, in fact she's going to get dyes for when I come home so we can do this lol...
@@christophershall84 Awesome - that's great that the two of you enjoy tie dyeing together!
What a Brilliant thing you have done there, excellent well done to you.
Thank you so much - I'm glad you like it!
Harika yapıyorsunuz hangi boya kullanıyorsunuz teşekkürler😘😘
Thank you! I use a fiber reactive dye. 🙂
Looks fabulous
Thank you so much!
I love it, it does look like snake skin. I’m going to try my hand at this. Thank you for your video🥰❤️🙏🏾
Thank you so much - I'm glad you like it!
Very cool I love it! I’m new to tie dye, I dabbled in tie dye back in the 70’s, but nothing like is done today. This fold looks fairly easy to try and a design that I believe my guy would like. Thank you for your clear instructions on the different folds you do. Between you and Belladonna Designs instructions, I can do this new way of tie dying.
Awesome - I'm glad you like it! 🙂
Beautiful! Love the color combination and the outcome really does look like snake skin to me!!
🐍💚🐍💚🐍💚🐍💚🐍💚
Thank you! 😊
This is really lovely!
Thank you so much! 😀
Your voice is so sweet. I am new to tie dye so thank you. What happens when we don't use soda ash and the shirt is not dry? thank you.
Thank you! I use fiber reactive dye which requires soda ash to properly bond with the fabric. Without it, the dye will almost totally wash out of the shirt. If the shirt isn't dry when you dye it, you will need to take a little extra time to make sure you get the shirt fully saturated with dye. If the inside of this thick fold is too damp, it will be a little more difficult to get the dye to saturate that area and you may possibly have a few white areas.
Looks awesome, great design, I don't see snake skin by any means but it still looks killer.
Thank you so much!
Love the pattern and colors.
Thank you so much! 🙂
Very cool design!
Thank you - I'm glad you like it!
OMGOODNESS. You are so artistic. Would like to see it on. Very clever. I'm impressed my dear. Hugs Sherie Rodrigues from Australia 😍🤩
Hi Sherie! Thank you so much - I'm glad you like it! 🙂
@@FunEndeavors 🤩
I like it, I wonder if you did one with browns and black to do a rattlesnake type.
That's a great idea!
Great job
Thank you! 🙂
Very unique 🥰
Thank you! 😊
Very beautiful I like it
Thank you so much 😊
Nice results. I've not tried the snake/dragon scales pattern yet. Thanks.
Thank you! 🙂
For reasons unknown, I see crocodile or alligator scales, but either way, the shirt turned out pretty cool.
You're right - it does look like scales!
It kind of looks like snake skin. I like the overall design. Thanks so much for the video!
Thank you - I appreciate you watching!
Very cool job and great descriptive video. Not sure if you know of Jenn Manufacturing foam tip brushes but you may want to try them for putting the dyes on your items. I use the plastic jars that Dharma uses for 1 pound of dyes it's a great way to reuse them plus you can save any unused dye with the lid. Also, I don't use all of the auxiliary chemicals most suppliers recommend , they really don't seem to make that big a difference to me. Just dye & h2o &maybe salt for turquoises & colors containing it.
Thanks for the instructions. Peace, Love, & SAFETY to all.
Thank you! The foam brushes are great for tie dyeing. I've used them several times to apply black dye to the back of an item, but I haven't ever tried them for applying all the dye though. That's also a great use for the dye containers. I'll have to try that sometime. I hope you have a great week! 🙂
That’s rad dude 🙄👌🏼
Thank you! 🙂
I just found your channel & I'm loving your work.. this looks really good..
Thank you so much!🙂
Looks cool
Thank you! 🙂
Nice! It does resemble a snake skin.
Thank you - I think so too!
That is totally COOL!!
Thank you so much! 🙂
Awesone, love it. Great job!
Thank you! 🙂
it looks amazimg. What is the name of the thread you use for tying?
Thank you! It is artificial sinew. I have a link below the video in the description for where I purchase the sinew that I use.
@@FunEndeavors is it the kite string you mention in the description box.
@@sepalipathirathna211 No, it is the artificial deer sinew. Here is the link: amzn.to/2EF28Lu
@@FunEndeavors Thank you so much. Really appreciate.
@@sepalipathirathna211 you're welcome!
Wow! I love it!!!
Yay! Thank you!
Do you add soda ash into the dye bottles? Or in the water where you make the shirts wet before the dye?
I soak the shirt in a soda ash solution before I begin tying it. I don't add any soda ash into the dye bottles.
I’d like to do that to a white, collared, golf shirt. Wonder if it’s possible.
You could try it. I think it would be a little tough around the collar and button area though.
I'd almost call it gator skin! It's beautiful.
It does look like gator skin - thank you!
This is super cool and totally unique. I love it!! ❤️🌈
Thank you so much! 😊
She explained really well
Thank you! 🙂
I think the pattern looks just like snake skin, and with some color adjustment it would look eeriely just like snake skin O_o well done
Thank you so much!
I thought it looked like an alligator or croc. Very creative.
Thank you so much! 🙂
Absolutely love this! I’ve done the basic tie dye style but nothing this intricate, but you have inspired me to try this. I love the colors you chose, new sub and can’t wait to see your new ones coming.
Thank you - I'm glad you like it! 😊
Yep!!! Coooool!!! 💗👍👏💗👏👍💗
Thank you! 😊
That's dope!
Thank you!
Looks great. What is the water footprint when you do one shirt at a time? I can process 3 or 4 indigo shibori shirts with less water.
I'm not entirely sure. I rinse each shirt alone, but I soak them in hot water instead of continuing to rinse for a long time. Then I wash them in the washing machine along with a lot of other tie dye shirts at the same time.
So cool!
Thank you! 🙂
Pretty close I love it!🥰❤✌
Yay! Thank you! 😊
how great. where did you get your dowel for your sinew ?
Thank you! I purchased it from Nikolay Savin. You can contact him through facebook. Here's a link to his page: facebook.com/nstiedye/
That's pretty cool... thanks for sharing...
Thank you - I'm glad you like it!
Its Awesome !!!
Thank you!
Wonderful, excellent tutorial.
Thank you so much! 🙂
Love it!! My favorite color and I love the pattern!
Awesome - I'm glad that you like it!
Love it!
Thank you!! 😀
oh man this would be gorg in blue -- it looks like light reflecting of waves
Thank you!
is there an alternative for dawn dish soap? my country doesnt sell dawn dish soap. Can we use any other dish soap?
I use the Dawn dish soap because it is a pH neutral dish soap. You probably have a dish soap that is pH neutral that is available in your area too. The Dawn just helps keep the dye that is being rinsed out of the shirt from redepositing back on the shirt.
@@FunEndeavors Thank you so much for the reply! will look in to it.
Sorry, I think it is more like a turtle shell. It is amazing. I really enjoyed watching your techniques.
Thanks so much 😊 It does look like a turtle.
Nice videos. Keep it up 👍🏾
Thank you! 🙂
Does it look like snakeskin? No, but it looks really freaking cool.
Snakeskin is a good name for the technique though.
Thank you - I'm glad you like it!
Maybe dragon scales more than snake, but an awesome design...
Thank you! 🙂
I LOVE this shirt. I’m gonna have to try it. On another note, I couldn’t find link to those bottles.
Thank you! Here is the link to them: amzn.to/2FXVoJn
This is the link to the 4 ounce ones. I have a link below in the description for the 1 ounce ones too.
Nice folding. I would have added some yellows and browns
Thank you! That's a great idea!
I love the outcome! I was wondering why my sinew don't leave a clear white mark on its area where i tied it, is it fake or the way i tied it😭!
Thank you! Do you use a sinew puller of some kind? I struggled to get my sinew tight enough without a puller. I used to use my sinew straight off of the roll, and I thought it was working well until I got a puller. I was amazed at how much tighter I could pull the sinew using one. It doesn't have to be a fancy puller, but just something that you can grip really tightly. I guess it could possibly be your sinew. I've had rolls before that didn't have much wax on them. The sinew that I use is artificial deer sinew that I purchase from Amazon. amzn.to/2EF28Lu
@@FunEndeavors i didn't transfer it from its original form. You're right! After i dyed just then i transfer it to a wooden cylinder! Hoping this time for some improvement! Thank you!
@@bggines_1260 I hope that works better for you.
@@FunEndeavors tomorrow the reveal would show if it works. Thanks for replying!
Can you reserve the dyes by color to be conservative? Nice job....
I'm not sure what you mean - are you wanting to reuse the dyes? If so, once the dye has touched the soda ash shirt the dye will start to react and will not be good after a few hours.
this is so awesome i love your Techniques. where can i get that sinew spool u using i love that where can i get it or something similar to it thanks 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you so much! I purchased my sinew puller from Nikolay Savin. Here is his facebook information where you can contact him: facebook.com/nstiedye/
