Hi! Would you know if in checking the m38 point and shoot camera is actually working (without film), the shutter must “open” and “close” when shutter button is clicked? Because that’s what I watched in few videos but the model is the m35 and the other one is an Olympus. So I’m wondering if it’s same with m38?

Yes the m35 and m38 are basically just the same. The only difference is that the m38 is advertised as having a stronger flash power. So it should work :)
