    Yet another great reaction, Andrea.
As I have said several times, before you (finally) judge Chuck remember Jimmy is a _scam artist;_ he has been since he was a child. You already know how he turns out from 'Breaking Bad' (BB). So, it is no spoiler to say that Chuck knows _exactly_ what Jimmy is. Again, that doesn't absolve Chuck, but it throws a different light on their complex relationship. The beauty of the writing behind this series (and BB) is that few characters are 100% 'good' or '100%' bad, and that is the case with Chuck and Jimmy.
Mike is scoping the Salamancas for reasons that will soon emerge. As with several plot trajectories on BB, 'Better Call Saul' has many slow-burning fuses. It's a core part of their appeal.
The same is the case with the relationship between Kim and Jimmy -- as you will find out by the end of Season Six.

You’re absolutely right in that the characters all show some level of moral greyness or ambiguity. I think I did throw in a few positive comments about Chuck, especially his vast knowledge of the law. Our UA-cam videos are well behind our Patreon schedule so by the time you comment on a video, I may be 6-10 episodes ahead 😊

@@kai_masters Yes I realise your Patreon videos are well ahead, but I have to be careful what I say otherwise I'd be posting spoliers for others here.

Chuck would absolutely help Jimmy if the situations were reversed. Chuck is the one who got Jimmy off of that absurd sex offender charge ("Chicago sunroof"), and has shown empathy towards Jimmy at many points during the show. The fatal flaw of their brotherly relationship comes down to the fact that Chuck thinks Jimmy will always be a huckster and a scam artist at heart, so he believes he has an ethical obligation to keep him from practicing the law, something for which he treats almost as if it were his religion. Chuck is not being disingenuous when he says that he loves Jimmy, but trust issues and jealousy have gotten in the way of Chuck truly showing much love.

That’s a great way of describing their relationship. You are right when you mention Chuck getting Jimmy out of jail and now Jimmy is returning the favor.

This is my favorite episode in in Season 2, and this is my favorite dialogue in it:
Jimmy: "You're part of the greatest generation. You fought the Nazis."
Fake war veteran: "Fought the Japanese."
    Jimmy: "What?"
Fake war veteran: "Fought Japanese. I fought the Japanese. This machine was used in the Pacific, where the Japanese are."
Jimmy: "Why don't you shut up and learn to take some direction?"
    Fake war veteran: "...Japanese."
Jimmy: "Alright, fine. You fought all the dirty... Axis powers."

I’m not a lawyer but I watched a couple lawyers react to this episode and none of them side anything about Kim not being able to take clients with here so I think it would depend on Kim’s contract if there nothing in the contract saying she can’t take clients with her she be free to take clients with her

As I see it, the client has a choice as to which firm they give their business

I don't recall seeing anything where Kim was on the wrong path, Kim seems always to be on the straight and narrow.

I think something in Kim’s interview with Schweikart and Cokely suggested a turbulent childhood but I may be misreading it.
