Have you tried unwrapping the netwrap instead of cutting it? I leave my bale about 6” off the ground, grab the end of the wrap and then unwrap it from the bale. That way I’m not dulling my knife all of the time.
@@cliffhonnasregenerativerancher that’s what I use when I use my bale processor. I can’t unwrap the bales on it when they are setting on the pickup forks.

You need to cut it real short and it is some good feed can’t let it get too stalky

So that my knife stays sharp, I use a utility knife to cut the netting. When blade gets dull, just swap to a new one. Just another option to consider.

Yup here in WI on the 10th we were at 70° down to 20° morning. Thankfully my bottle babies didn't get sick they handled it well I'm their huts.

Looks great yes if your buying hay that can be expensive. Cows and calves look great you have steers do you castrate your bulls
