This was one of the best İstanbul tour that I have watched. Many of youtubers do not visit the Blue Mosque. And the sound of Ezan really made me so excited. You really gave us a quick glimpse of the city. We really wanna see you back in İstanbul. I literally liked your channel 👍🏻
On your next visit, try to see Topkapi Palace and the adjoining museum, Hagia Sophia, and take a short cruise up the Bosphorus. You're right about the food and the people...both truly outstanding.
I live in Istanbul, I think you should visit places such as Maiden's Tower, Taksim Square, Istiklal Street, Bozdoğan Aqueduct, Underground Cistern, Rumeli Fortress.
when I was in Turkey, I was obsessed with their ice cream! Totally addictive. The pistachio and rose syrup are the best (: Love this vlog and the drone shots are incredible
This is so exciting! I just discovered your channel through your U.K. videos, and turns out you went here next. Turkey is my favorite country to watch in travel videos! 😁
I love your videos, they are charming. Your almost childish approach to all the lovely food you experience for the 1st time is so refreshing yet at the same time you take us on the journey which is lovely. I wish good fortune in your travels & always travel safely.
Hello you guys - Thanks very much for your uploads about Turkey. It's my dream to go there myself. I have many Turkish friends here in London and they are very kind and sincere. I have seen a few previous videos but now have subscribed. You are both very laid back and have good personalities that are a pleasure to watch. Thanks again.
Your video brings mesmerizing memories...I visited Istanbul 3 times but never enough...I wish I can live there...most beautiful city in the world... Written in corona quarantine
Great video! I will be visiting Istanbul in 2weeks and would definitely visit the lamp store (which btw is so beautiful) and try the ice cream . If you will be in Istanbul during spring break, I am happy to meet!
The mosque at 0:52 (air-view) is not Sultan Ahmed Mosque ("Blue Mosque"), its the Süleymaniye Mosque. Süleymaniye is the biggest historical mosque in Istanbul, its on a hill not far away from Grand Basar and this place has an amazing view. As you can see, "Blue Mosque" is under renovation inside. The "New Mosque" in Eminönü is under construction/renovation too. So if you are in Istanbul in the next months and want to see a huge Ottoman mosque, go and visit Süleymaniye Mosque inside. As I said, from the garden you have a great view to Galata-Tower, Bosporus and Asia. Another huge mosque is the "Fatih Mosque". Next to this mosque is the "Wednesday Marked", the biggest outdoor-marked in Istanbul. Its as the name says every wednesday. Raki is more Greek than Turkish. If you want to taste a real turkish drink, try Ayran. Its Joghurt mixed with water and salt. It tastes best, if it is hot outside, you eat hot (spicy) and you drink it cold. Pierre Loti/Eyüp (great view) and Ortaköy (Eat "Kumpir" next to the 1. Bosporus Bridge) are two other great places. You can combine Ortaköy with a visit of Dolmabahçe-Palast. There you can see the bed where Mustafa Kemal Atatürk died after he drunk to much Raki (liver cirrhosis, he had an alcohol-problem).
7:40 we painted that wall in company with artist Ismail Acar . It is the back wall of the Saint Benoit French Highschool , one of the oldest school of Istanbul , actually the oldest one. 1783
I promise this isn't snark, but I just watched this and the Berlin video and realised that you guys never seem prepared for cold weather. You mention being cold a lot--as well as wishing you had better shoes when you go hiking. Is it the difficulties attached to carrying a small amount of stuff while travelling? It would make me crazy to be cold all of the time. I also notice that Eric doesn't ever zip up his coat. Is this because of your mics? When you guys were in Alaska, his coat was unzipped. Can you tell I've got a toddler? Making sure her coat is zipped is literally my life.
Great veiws of the city I like your open attitude and it seems you two had a good time exploring Istanbul's history, food & culture it is really one of the greatest cities of the world thank you for sharing your endless adventure
You did well to pack all of that into 24 hours! Looks like a fun day 😀 We really want to get to Turkey one of these days. Looks like an amazing country!
Hello, thanks for visiting turkey! We are so happy to see you guys in İstanbul! Firstly, “Rakı” is a type of ottoman drink and a lot of people is drinking this with water. If you add water into the Rakı, probably it is going to more tasty! It is so nice to see peoples coming to the Turkey because a lot of people thinking about terrorism in Turkey. No, opposite. We are living in peace. There is more beautiful things to discover in İstanbul, all over the Turkey.❤️
Another beautiful video!!! I love the drone and slow motion shots. The whole video is edited in such a creative and enjoyable way, they are always so fun and relaxing to watch. Also, thank you for the kitty cat shots, they bring a big smile and warm heart too me. Blessings and continued safe travels, love from Springfield IL 🇺🇸
Awesome opening to your video. Seems very professional. Great video. Loved the Turkish adventure. Wish you could have stayed longer. Didn't think I would like the Turkish culture and now I found it very interesting and the people seemed very friendly.
I would say the ice cream taste like American soft serve ice cream but the sticky version. It’s good if it’s hot outside and you’ve been walking around a lot. 👍 love the video. Thanks for sharing.
Ah wish you tried the Turkish ice cream! It has the same thing as in Sahlep, the powder of the Tulip root and it makes this unique sticky texture. Pure heaven 🙈
For your future reference; you should mix rakı with water in the same glass. It might be a little hard to drink it single. And you should also visit Kadıköy, to see some local places.
As a history lover, it blows my mind that someone would feature the blue mosque and basically ignore the Hagia Sofia. One of the most famous and historically significant buildings in human history. Borderline blasphemy 😁
So glad to hear you’re headed to Vienna! I spent a week there about three years ago and I absolutely fell in love with the city. It’s soooo beautiful! You’re going to love it! Can’t wait to revisit it through your vlogs! ;) If you have time, you should definitely check out some of the museums there, they’re amazing!
The ice cream is amazing. Stretches. I think it’s made from goats milk. Sour cherry is my favourite. Oh also with the Raki, you’re supposed to mix water in it and it turns white. They call it “Lions Milk”. I drank a whole bottle without diluting it. Ended up in hospital. Yeah I know. I’m weak sauce. But dilute the raki next time and chase it with a slice of rock melon, olives or white cheese.
That's a cool video tour, guys. Keep up the good work! Speaking of Turkish ice cream, it is super delicious. It is a shame you didn't try it. It comes in 3 flavors, milk, chocolate, and pistachio. Don't miss out on it next time you are in Istanbul.
I miss Istanbul, only surprised people weren't asking you every five steps to buy something! Discovered your vlog on one of your blog tutorials and have been following ever since :)
I went to turkey 1 year ago it was so beautiful every time I here the Prayer call It made me feel so good. The ice cream is so good u need to try it, There are many mosques that tourists go to inc Sultan Ahmed,Blue Mosque And more, It is very busy and a istanbul is a very populated city. They also have really good food and everything over there is halal.
Just started binge watching y'all vlogs. You guys are sure sweet and polite. Its weird, but I'm a New Yorker🗽. I love it. Very nice travel vlog! I reccomend Turkish ice cream (Maraş dondurmasi). It is absolutely amazing.

You know so much about Istanbul, i would not expect that from first-time visitors for sure. P.S.: Ice-cream is good, you should try that. Dilute raki with water by half.

Thanks for taking us to Istanbul, one of my favorite cities to travel to in the world 🇹🇷
Alex Travelbum 👍🏼
I love Istanbul☺☺
Istanbul it’s much better than many western cities like Paris London Berlin
What you hear usually all across the city are not prayers, it's a call to prayer. it's the equivalent of the bells ringing for the mass
I would say the same to them... Thanks bro..
Thanks to researching and also watching UA-cam I was able to find this out as well... and relate it to my own faith as a Catholic (with the bells).
It's called Adzan ..
@@discojelly I'm Catholic too by the way
Nate Collins ... It is called " Athan " or " Azan " , depends on the Arabic local dialect accent.

I live in Istanbul, I think you should visit places such as Maiden's Tower, Taksim Square, Istiklal Street, Bozdoğan Aqueduct, Underground Cistern, Rumeli Fortress.
Love you guys but thats not a river its the Bosphorus natural canal that splits Europe from Asia
there is a inlet looks like a river called Haliç (golden horn) they probably mixed up . I think they know the difference between bosphorus and river
@Henry Esicka looking at tectonic plates it is, looking continentaly not arealy

You're supposed to cut your Raki with water.
And ON ICE!!!! :) Next time, try it that way.
only alcoholics can drink raki pure :D
true...then it turns white....known as "Lion's milk".
And cheese or other appetizer. you can't drink just neat

Awesome opening to your video. Seems very professional. Great video. Loved the Turkish adventure. Wish you could have stayed longer. Didn't think I would like the Turkish culture and now I found it very interesting and the people seemed very friendly.
Turkish ice-cream is amazing ! Seriously it’s one of the best ice-cream in the world (but yeah, i may be biased as i’m turkish 😊😊)
Istanbul is an metropol. A country on its own. A unique city in the world.
Kültürümüze saygı duyup uyum sağladığınız için teşekkür ederim 👍 👏
I will go next month in Istambul, so your video just helped me to see a bit about this city! 😍
The Turkish ice cream is good. It’s a lot thicker then the average ice cream. It is recommend to try.
I would say the ice cream taste like American soft serve ice cream but the sticky version. It’s good if it’s hot outside and you’ve been walking around a lot. 👍 love the video. Thanks for sharing.
Yoiu CANNOT go to Istanbul without going to Topkapi and the harem, Haghia Sofia and a trip up the Bosphorus
Exactly.
Incomplete tour
Very superficial

How can you missed the Hagia Sofia? and the Basilica Cistern? I like the Galata tower though but thats more spectacular at night.

I was in Istanbul last summer it was stunning! You should go to Cappadocia and Antalya as well. Love from Belgium :)
Turkey I love the country very much.. Their Romantic drama are very good❤. And girls are like heaven angel.
Love from NEPAL.
Very nice video!
The Bosporus isn't a "river"... it is a straight... only about 19 miles long connecting the Sea of Marmara with the Black Sea. :)
sorry... "strait" (my bad spelling haha)
I think he was referring Golden Horn by saying river and Golden Horn is kind of a river
@@basarkaanyigit7244
The golden horn is NOT a river
I actually really like Turkish ice cream. It has a really nice chewy texture, which makes it unique. Definitely worth trying imo.
Amazing thank u I hope to visit one day so much history I love it 👍
As a history lover, it blows my mind that someone would feature the blue mosque and basically ignore the Hagia Sofia. One of the most famous and historically significant buildings in human history. Borderline blasphemy 😁
Can’t wait to goooo!!!!!
You have to cut the Raki with water, 1 to 1 and throw ice in it, excellent with fish

Dondurma 🍦is superb, it's made from salep, which is ground wild orchid root.

Ouuu that opening was VERY well shot and edited! Beautiful.
I like that Melodious voice, Adhan call from Istambul
Turkish ice cream (dondurma) is delicious! Very flavourful and sticky 😆
It is but not the one at the tourist stands. Sticky-stretchy
Thx, you're the comment I was looking for! 😊 Istanbul Ice Cream is Yummy, YAY
I love the weird ice cream!!
I visit turkey a minth every summer
I enjoyed the ice cream too! Pistachio and kaymakli are my FAVES!! I love the stretchy texture and that its not overly sweet.

No offense but the Bosphorous isn't a river, many people say that but it's a narrow sea strait.
Just love those Turkish lamps
It’s not “singing” over the speakers. It’s the call for prayer which is called (athan) when its time to pray.
And it sounds like singing so...
@Nazik Adam That's subjective. Get over it.
athan? that is weird I thought the call for prayer was called Ezan in Turkish!?!
