I will upgrade her rig with a gtx 1650 super. It will be the last upgrade of that computer before its death, in about 5 years. It will bring the 1080p gaming capabilities of that computer to a very respectable level, allowing 60+ fps on any game, even in the future, even if a bit of tweeking might be required , lowering graphics details a little bit. I already know the 1650 Super will be a great matchup for that i7-4790 aging flagship. you would get a bump in performance but its not really an upgrade, even though the 1060 has 6 gb of memory the extra ram isnt going to help you cause its not a card made for anything higher than 1080p anyways. I would just buy a 1070 cause they can he had for about 180 and even though its only a number up its about a 50% performance upgrade cause the 1060 was made for the mid tier range as the 1070,1080 and ti cards were in the high end range

TekTick this is good to hear, thank you. i am now starting to believe however that i am getting cpu bottlenecked or there is a different kind of problem in my system because my cpu is scoring low benchmarks in cinnebench r15, and my gpu manages higher scores with no overclock than with a overclock. i might have to look for a new cpu or change up my pc configurations.
Anyone who has this? is this model bigger than its predecessor the gtx 1050 Ti Gaming X? because the 1050 Ti gaming X model is quite small against my rtx 2070 super gaming X. My friend is having an issue he just built a new pc and his gpu is not powering on, and he is not able to go into the bios cause he does not have integrated graphics. Can anyone help with figuring out what’s wrong? I’m thinking it’s the pci e slot
That's correct, yes, and that's only when GPU is loaded, so a bit more on top of that when everything is under load. On the other hand, Furmark's GPU stress test really gets the GPU going, in games you'll see a bit less power draw.
It's pretty small. I had an rx 580 before (only changed it because it died unexpectedly) which is way bigger and it still fit in a micro-atx case. Unless you mean ITX, and even then, it's closer in size to those "mini" versions of GPUs (like the 2060s and 1070 minis).
Hey Mist, I am replacing my 8-Year-Old GPU Finally, I did some looking into the GPU market, I ended up buying the same card In this Video. My Reason is that overall I believe the MSI GTX 1650 Super Gaming X is the better way to go because of fan noise and the overclocking. I did look a Zotac, Evga & many more but the noise was more noticeable, benchmark with other 1650 Super the MSI Gaming X mostly was on top, and let be honest MSI just make a way better-looking GPU. I hope that helps you out a little, In no way, I am saying the other 1650 Super are bad, the fact the Gaming X is better overall.
Yes, Gaming X is definitely one of the queietest out there, as for the performance, you can always tweak that in additionally with some manual overclocking
So your i5 8600K overclocked + GTX 1650 Super Consume 177 watts max with Furmark. My PC [Dell Vostro 3888] ]has an i3 10100 powered by Dell 260 watts 80+ Bronze PSU. Which means that I can use a Sata/Molex to 6 pin PCIE converter and my PSU will easily be able to handle normal gaming...! Any suggestions by Tech Savvy people out there would be super apreciable...! Thanks
Really no because it’s faster in some games slower in others and u can get a used 580 for $120. But the 1650s is way more efficient but that doesn’t matter that much. I would think saving a little more for a 1660s would be much better or a used 1070 for $200 or $250 for a 1070ti. Or a vega 56 which is a great card just power hungry i still prefer a 1070.
@@ChadKenova yeah. but im gonna go with the rx 5500xt rather than a used rx 580. Ive seen a video from techtester on power draw. id rather have the 5500 xt from amd than the rx 580 in the long run, for wallet reasons

Is it possible if I disassemble this gpu to spray paint it??
I don't see why not, everything can be dissembled 😁
Can I connect two 1080p and one 4k displays to this card? For office work, not gaming.
Yes!
Where is backplate? I bought this card yesterday and i have backplate?
do you think my intel core i5-8400 and this gpu is good?
Yes, ideal!
I can get this for exactly 240$ in my country, nothing less.
In my country this exact costs 180
In my country it's 220usd, but it's not in stock atm.
kind of sucks that it doesn't have a backplate
Wich one should i buiy the gaming x or gygabite windforce
I order the Gaming X, look better and noise is nothing really with this card.
I'll be upgrading from an r7 240 to the gtx 1650 super cuz its everything I need st my price range
Did you do that yet? Im having an issue getting a signal just swapping them out, i must be missing a step the radeon r7 240 to this card
Kenji Yugo make sure to uninstall all amd drivers using DDU
CapoGoCrazy lucky for me I don’t need to uninstall anything, just switch out the cards and nvidia does it for me
noob question: soooooo out of 10 how would you rate it? its hard to tell if your recommending it or advising to look elsewhere and compare.
ive got a nvidia GeForce GTX 970 and am researching some good gaming/streaming upgrades. 200$ or less is my budget for a new card
At what resolution are you planning to play?
@@MattsPaddock id like to do 1080p when streaming. for some games i lower or improve resolution(in SLOBS) based on if it lags at higher levels.
Is the Ryzen 5 1600 + gtx 1650 + 8gb 3000 mhz good for streaming fortnite and other games
16gb would be ideal
this video was posted exactly 1 year ago
Wow, times flies
Anyone who has this? is this model bigger than its predecessor the gtx 1050 Ti Gaming X? because the 1050 Ti gaming X model is quite small against my rtx 2070 super gaming X. I was wondering how much smaller the 1650 super would be against an rtx 2070 super gaming x (I'm talking about dimensions etc)
You can check their spec size on MSI's website and compare them!
Hello thanks for making this video but do you think it’s still worth it and can you send me a link to this card ?
Yeah, sure, the link is in the description box down below!
Ok thanks dude I appreciate it 👍 left a like
Gtx 1650 super 4gb or rx 580 8gb which one is better?
I have a video on my channel comparing these two cards!
Rx 580 hands down I've got a rx 570 4GB and it beats my msi 1050ti gaming easy
Hvl fps in fortnite ?
My friend is having an issue he just built a new pc and his gpu is not powering on, and he is not able to go into the bios cause he does not have integrated graphics. Can anyone help with figuring out what’s wrong? I’m thinking it’s the pci e slot
Also I tested out this gpu on my rig and it worked perfectly which is why I think the problem is coming from his pci e slot.
Have you tried another PCI-e slot? Try to reset the BIOS manually, there should be a jumper on the motherboard
I want to know the speed in games such as Pubg and Grand, how much speed at the highest accuracy
Did I see correctly that the maximum watts the GPU pulls is around 180w? That seems high.
That's correct, yes, and that's only when GPU is loaded, so a bit more on top of that when everything is under load. On the other hand, Furmark's GPU stress test really gets the GPU going, in games you'll see a bit less power draw.
TDP is only 100watts why is yours at 177watts?
TDP and power consumption are to different things!
@@MattsPaddock im dumb f*** thanks.
does it fit in a micro atx case
Which one?
It's pretty small. I had an rx 580 before (only changed it because it died unexpectedly) which is way bigger and it still fit in a micro-atx case. Unless you mean ITX, and even then, it's closer in size to those "mini" versions of GPUs (like the 2060s and 1070 minis).
I dont know which gtx 1650 super i should buy there are so many
Hey Mist, I am replacing my 8-Year-Old GPU Finally, I did some looking into the GPU market, I ended up buying the same card In this Video.
Thanks
this video is good i have 1 guestion can this video cart on a 64 bit computer can u please answers my aks
Can I change the color of white
Will this gpu work on a msi b85m gaming motherboard?
Yes!
I have this grafic card , fan dont spin , 35° is normal?
Yes, if you watch the video, you can see that that's normal
Dose it use a six-pin or eight?
6 pin pcie plug
isaiah orot thank you.
i have this grapics card buts dragon center doesnt detec the grapics card to change the color for RGB, its only detects the motherboard
Use MSI Mystic Lighting.
Is this card better than GTX 1050 TI
Yes, much better, I have a video on it here - ua-cam.com/video/4vCDbv2odA4/v-deo.html
bruh i always check out videos like these just to see if the card has good rgb lmao
lmao, too bad only the 1660s have rgb.
Rgb what does it matter you need a card with good performance
Is the GTX 1650 super worth to get rather than a used rx 580 8gb?
I'm actually doing a video on that!
I'd say
@@chrisxcrozz5186 The 5500xt loses compared to the 1650S, amd is cheap power hungry crap.
this gpu or rx 5500 xt 4gb? in terms of performance.
This
Will this card work on my ddr3 motherboard?
Yes, of course!
can i use it on my pc, i5-6500, b250m bazooka, 2x8 crucial 2400mhz, 550w 80+ gold.
Bottleneck you need a much better pc
Take a 2600x with 1650 and 3000mhz ram 2×8 and 600w psu motherboard b450m then youre good
MSI or evga? Which one is better
Haven't tried any EVGA's in a long while
TekTick Should I spend £170 on a MSI gtx 1650 super gaming X or £215 on ASUS strix 1650 super?
EVGA get there extended warranty if available . There customer service is second to none in my experience with them. I got the MSi card due to pricing and availability since I didn’t want to order one. And make sure you get the “super” version as the none super versions has less cuda cores
isaiah orot I’m gonna get the msi super don’t worry
Recomended psu for this graphic please
Good quality 80PLUS 450W and above.
This or gigabyte which would be better?
Haven't tried the Gigabyte one! 😕
Das this card play 1440p games?
Check out 7:45
Is this worth it for a $500 build?
I have the same question lol
does it have rgb?
No white light only
