Heinki was such an energetic and good runner! Too bad the couch barely talked, but Heinki more than made up for it. Great run!
Well, I think they all come from germany and the guys on the couch are probably not that fluent. Or even if they are, it still sometimes feels weird to speak another language in front of a large crowd when youre not a native speaker.

I think a speedrun is the only time I've seen anyone actually upgraded swimming
I did in my own playthrough for access to all hidden items underwater that required it in order to survive (I did play on PS2 though, and I honestly preffer the PS2 version of this game, PC version just looks odd to me).
@@markjacobs1086 Check out DAU, has a great ps2 playthrough. It is totally different than PC!

It's not only a speedrun of my favourite game - In my opinion Heinki has shown us the golden standard of a good GDQ speedrun. He is energetic, funny and does not worry about his time if it means that he can show us how some of the tricks work - Entertainment of viewers is his number one goal. Thank you Heinki and i hope we will see more of your speedruns!

Don't pick up swimming it's fairly useless (unless you're speedrunning it)
The first level of swimming is actually really useful. There are a lot of great spots to swim through, a lot of shortcuts and hidden items.

I come begging for the wisdom of the sages... how does one perform that skill point refund tech at the beginning of the game? Can it be done repeatedly?
I have recently been hit with the urge to play this game again but being pathetic for so long really isn't that appealing. It would be great if I could start at trained or advanced at everything.

Wow. Didn't know human revolution's 3 button ending was also in the first Deus ex. Probably was a poor choice for a call back
If you mean the three buttons that he pressed to turn off the coolant system, those are only used in that ending, the other endings (merge with helios / kill bob page) require a lot more in other areas. Still a sad choice to save it till the last dungeon though.
Endings in original Deus Ex are more complex than this. 3 buttons are only for Tracer Tong ending.

That is the worst game
It's the best in the series and I enjoyed it a lot as a kid (like 10 or more years ago) on PS2.
