I have that video card water cooled by byksky and a 1080 radiator for a 5950x too. Potentials are enormous. Only using Adrenalin for overclock, the card is stable as a rock at 2,65 Gh. 3D Mark spy Graphic is capping me at 2,35 Gh, so I only do 20200: a 3090ti stock, more or less; but I can improve. I play RDR2 with Vsync on, triple buffer on, every setting at max, for 6,3 GB of Vram, in a 3440x1440 144hz monitor, without FSR2, only without MSAA, from 85 to 90 fps, and I know I have also space for doing better then so. Everything less heavy is 100 fps or more: at half way throught balanced and Max quality presets I am near 144 fps, even if my Pc is for program data: CPU has a traditional light overclock (the one you do for cinebench), at 4,5 gh and 1,25V: I don't need more, and CPU at 58 celsius top temp, for me, it's ok, but it doesn't always help as it could do, even because I have 64Gb 3600 14 14 14 34 Ram that gives the best in other sort of loads. Maybe I will try the 4,8Gh at 1,375, if I stay under 70 degrees, but I'm in doubt: I don't like do damage my CPU for a stupid record. Gpu temps are higher at vrm, but never over 60 degrees, after some hour of game. I play my games in silence, with fans at 900 rpms. I thing XFX 6800xt is the better video card at his price, and it's better of a lot of relly overpriced cards near. Nice build. Have fun!
Hey just came by your video thanks for all the info on everything. I’m new to pc building and still deciding if what I’m getting would work together it’s a lot of similar parts that you already have. Cpu - ryzen 7 5800x Gpu - rx 6800 xt Memory - Corsair pro sl 4 x 8gb 3600 Cpu cooler - Corsair H115i elite cooler Mother board - Asus b550 plus Storage - Wd sn850x 1tb Power supply - Corsair Rm850x Case - Corsair 4000x or d with fans Would this combo work well together for 1440p gameplay for steam games etc.?
Yes, but the Ryzen 5700x CPU is cheaper for basically the exact same performance and 2 x 16GB 3600 is more optimal too. Sometimes you can find 6900xt/6950xt for not much more than 6800xt. You may want to go all out on a 2TB version of that SSD depending what you play seeing how big games are getting.
This is the build i am doing! Almost the exact same one tho. I am gonna get 3200mhz ram becauae i have had bad experiences getting faster RAM than what AMD says the cpu supports.
Not that I've seen via software but I have read (and I'd highly recommend AGAINST this) that you can remove the GPU shroud and simply unplug the pins plugging the lights to the PCB.
It was only doing that when I didn't have a monitor plugged into it for display purposes. Once I hooked up the HDMI cable, it stayed on like it normally would.
The only thing that'll change is the performance and it shouldn't be a big difference, the only thing to watch out for when changing the cpu is the motherboard compatibility and all 5000 series have the same compatibility.
Well i advice you to pair 5800x or 5800x3d it the 6800xt if you want the full power of the 6800xt and 850w psu for long term..is just my personal opinion i have 6800xt red devil it a 5800x overckloc 32gb 4000cl16 850w psu and watercooler 360m artic, for handle,it the hot 5800x overckloc and is a beast, smooth like the ocean of Caribbean 😂😂 good luck brother
I have rx 6800 and ryzen 5600. Using this combo with 650W power supply because ryzen 5600 uses 60-70W in games and rx 6800 only 160-170 (after small UV).
Head-up for everyone viewing: This is a review of the Black edition, there is also a CORE edition. As far as I could tell the Black edition doesn't exist anymore and apparently the CORE edition is considerably worse with worse cooling (fewer headpipes), worse PCB and a few other things. You can find almost no information on this. So for me personally it looks like a XFX is at worst scamming people or at best deceiving people. They certainly lost all my trust.
Very nice build. I'm sure the commissioner was very pleased.
You should use two different power cables instead of one for the GPU.
Yes!
I am currently building my pc with new components and was wondering If I had to use 1 or 2 cable and then I saw your comment thank youuu
@@victorcroenne5360Depends on the GPU you're getting, more powerful GPUs will need two power cables.

That's an absolutely monstrous build you have there! Definitely an enthusiast class machine.
Great video, thanks
Good Job! 🤝

Awesome system, i love the 5800x + RX 6800 XT
Thanks for this Video

Watt of psu?
Can anyone help me, I'm using xfx rx 6800 xt. But the xfx logo doesn't light up ☹️
Late reply, but the logo only lights up on the top model: MERC 319. You most likely have the SWFT 319 model
Is there a way to disable or turn off the light bar on the gpu? 28:43

Don’t use pigtail for power,
Beastly 1440p machine
Is it normal for the lights to turn off and on on the gpu like that
It was only doing that when I didn't have a monitor plugged into it for display purposes. Once I hooked up the HDMI cable, it stayed on like it normally would.
@@TechLionPCs well I have the same card and mine turns off so is that a problem and if so any recommendations on how to fix it
Pregunta, por qué la mobo de la marca Asrock,?
Does it also run at 1080p, good?
Yes, but better from 1440p and higher as CPU could bottleneck.
Will it be any difference with the 5700x cpu paired with the rx 6800 xt and Corsair rm750x + gold psu? Air build.
The only thing that'll change is the performance and it shouldn't be a big difference, the only thing to watch out for when changing the cpu is the motherboard compatibility and all 5000 series have the same compatibility.
Cpu will change psu requirements but going down to 5700x makes the requirements smaller and it will be fine to have a 5700x with those components
Thank you Penta. I appreciate your advice. This is my first build.

I will get rx 6800 and i have ryzen 5600 whats the power supply i should get
One with at least 750W of power in it, as per AMD's specs!

@@MacTavish9619 i bought rx 6800 its amazing with 5600 and i think to take Ryzen 5700x and i bought power 850 for future updates
XFX makes great cards. I just wish they didn’t put all that hideous writing on the side. Heat build synergy tho.

This one is the CORE edition.
is this the CORE version of the video card or the BLACK version? the core is the weaker card
