- Today Marks the 75th Anniversary of the end of WW2 in Europe. As we celebrate VE Day, Piper's from across the world are joining together to celebrate 75 years by playing the tune "When the Battles Over."
"In Flanders fields the poppies blow. Between the crosses, row on row..... "
I could listen to this all day :-) play on angel ,play on
How beautiful oh, I love the fact that she's honoring our fallen soldiers
Jeffery Franklin Don't forget all the Allied troops who lost their lives ....
How about our fallen sailors?
As an ex Royal Marines Commando, proud of my past. Proud of the people that went before me. Proud of my country.
Thank you x

Hahaha! The old jokes are the best! 😉
Aren't those guys feudal fascists defending corruption?
Nicely said - my best to you and yours!
Absolutely superb 👍👍👍👍👍
Really appreciate your artistry, enthusiasm and reverence for your instrument.
Colleen Guerrero thank you💜
At quiet moments I return to my native north of Scotland on UA-cam and listen to the pipes. There are champion pipers to be found, and military pipers, but my bonny Dark Isle Bagpiper is my firm favourite. For me, it is often about the soul of the pipes, rather than the speed and complexity of (championship) playing. So please, my bonny piper, keep at it... it is such a pleasure to behold.
Well said!💂🏻♀️🏴
It brings joy to my soul to play and I am so happy you feel that as a listener💕 Thank you!

What an incredibly smart piper. She plays so well
Merci beaucoup pour votre prestation commémorative
I knew of VE day of course; but I didn't know of the pipers salute. Nutz!
Ah, well... thanks for posting, and be well! 🏴🏴🇺🇸
Nice tribute to the fallen warriors. Sleep in peace now the battle’s o’er.
Rest now and know you will always be remembered and honored.
Good on you lass. That was very bonny! Great idea all the pipers remembering this world changing day in our history. The good succeeds while the evil dies.
Flora Fraser amen🙏🏻💜

The Germans everywhere are growing a Scotsman's love for the Dudelsack.

Reminds me of when I was in the Pipes and Drums Band at Trinity College in Perth Australia in the 1970’s. Beautiful! Regards from Seabrook Texas
My cat loves listening to your music with me. 😊
OUTSTANDING as always! What a most appropriate song to commemorate this day!
susan esquer I’ll be posting the history behind this tune soon.👍🏼
The skirl of the pipes sends chills through my bones. I'm half German half Scottish but born and live in South African. Love the pipes!
Don't make me cry. Alright but for the fallen we could not stand for their sacrifice do we respect the dignity of humanity and the beauty of life. God bless. Take care.
Clement Martinez perfectly put into words! So honored to honor them... our hero’s!
Beautifully said!
every good man that has taken the enemy in battle feels the bag pipes in his soul for it longs and calls him to remember those who hav fallen in battle.
To those 16 thumbs down, you have no understanding of the value of the pipes. I can remember my father (god bless his sole) saying that there was nothing more chilling than the sound of the lone piper playing on a hill in the battlefield............. . My dad served in the front line in the Second World War.
Awesome thank you for that that's one of my favorite Tunes my dad's a World War II vet...
Very well played young lady. Please do carry on. In the past, i have heard a piper playing whilst i was out on the hill on the Isle of Skye. It was a very special and memorable occasion. A local man who i knew, was playing them. So please do continue. The late Bill Millen a Lovat Scout ( Commando) played the tune Nut Brown Maiden. For a young French girl either on D-day or shortly after. She was very curios about the pipes. So he obliged her. I gather she was tanned. Hence the choice of tune. Good for you Bill.
Love your channel... Love you♥️thank you so much for making my day dear heart😘🙋🥰👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻‼️
Sue Castillo thank you Sue! I’ll keep posting!

Ernest Mc Allister thank you!
This always reminds me of my father. He was in uniform. His 20th birthday.
Powerful performance! Look very sharp in your uniform. Excellent channel.

Splendide, Excellent, bravo !
(Splendid, Excellent, well done!)
Looking forward to joining pipers around the world to play this on May 8th 2023!
My old school Janitor landed with Lord Lovat and Piper Millin on D Day, Mr Mc Donald was as hard as nails and he could shout if we were misbehaving! Nice film.
Thank you. Wonderful performance
Thank you Lovely One ❤️🌺☘️
More words are said through your pipes in a minute and a half of playing than I could conjure up in a lifetime, thank you for honouring our fallen brothers and sisters.
At the setting of the sun, and in the morning, we will remember them.
As a new bagpiper, I liked how you played the tune. I just subscribed to your channel. Keep up with the pipes lass 🇺🇸🏴
We Will Remember Them 🌺
Lest we forget...
Beautiful😍😍😍
Thank you!
It is such a joy for me to hear you play. The pipes have always called to me, even before I confirmed that I have Scottish roots. I am still a novice; I march with my pipeband, CūChullain Pipes and Drums (NJ, USA) playing kitchen pipes. I am still practicing towards my goal of marching in Highland Pipes. Thank you for you gift and your UA-cam station.
I am not a Scot. I am not a Vet. I was not raised to the Pipes; but.....
the skirling of the Pipes strikes my soul so that my heart beats faster, my throat tightens and tears come unbidden. I don't know why. I am an old man; but pipe me a tune and I'd be over the top wi'ye !
Thanks so much
So frustrated I can't play it yet...
Well played, thank you for this moment of remembering.
zejedi you will do it soon!! Just keep it up!
Sure, one day or another ;)
I know how to play Fallen Heroes which fits the event very well too.
❤️

Hermosa música!!!! ADORÓ A MII QUERIDA ESCOCIA!! saludos desde MENDOZA ARGENTINA!!!!
This was played at our fallen heroes funeral. Outstanding performance I give you a superior rating.
You sounded great! Happy VE day!
Hobart Brown thank you!

My grandfather fought with the Black Watch of Canada (RHC) in WW1 and survived. His son, my uncle and name sake was killed with the Black Watch in WW2 at Verrieres Ridge. May God Bless all those have served, serve, and will serve...and those who sacrificed their all. You are the stewards of our freedom and we that of your legacy. You held up your end gloriously. We have work to do.
You still believe the government and societies lies/ propaganda lol. Our you know the truth and want fascism. Swissy templars.
Beautiful.
Let peace prevail over battle.
I used to hate playing this boring song so it's really nice to have someone else play it instead of me. I find 1980's arcade game songs transfer real well over to the pipes. Golden axe was meant to be played on the pipes for real!
Outstanding.
Love it!
Astounding and Inspiring! Thank you Ma'am 💚💚💚
sgoinneil! Saoilidh mi gur h-urrainn dhomh am port seo a chluich, ach chan eil agam ach pìob leatronaigeach :p

Absolutely brilliant. Well done.
Brilliant
Amazing song, congratulations Very cool great artist.
👍🙂💕
Interesting but little known fact. This tune, when the battle's over, is the old Irish harp tune 'An t-óig fhear', more commonly known as 'the last rose of summer'. Sláinte.
very awesome
A perfect performance of a perfect military or otherwise funeral honor song thats different from or in addition to amazing grace, which has necessary sectarian beliefs and wishes tied into it that non-believers cannot relate.
However, everybody knows that sacred and holy and magic feeling and time when all the horror of warfare and eye-to-eye combat stops completely and peace breaks out -that unusual and sudden abrupt change of feelings and environment; that once-in-a-lifetime event when there's no more to do, nowhere to go to anymore is universally known, appreciated and if experienced personally, cherished and adored.
I thought you were Scottish...!! Very good vlogs..cheers..😆🇬🇧😆🇬🇧😆
Well done.
Beautiful!
I heard the irish guards pipers play that while the band led the irish guards to trooping the colour
Love the bag pipes... That being said, open bag, insert cats, close bag, squeeze away!
Magnifique
I admire the Scotish people and traditions. I am Greek
Nice ❤️
Can not tell if she is American or Canadian? I love her tunes regardless .
Canadian.
100% Canadian. A lot of Scots relocated to Canada over the last few hundred years. You will still find a very strong Scottish section there, hence the pipes and pipe bands. It's like Scotland, but the weather is far more extreme!
@@jazzmc5322 I was born on an island in Canada that once had more Gaelic speakers than Scotland. I love her tunes!
Thanks and Cheers.

The leaves on the trees and the garden is a bit suspicious for this time of year here in Canada.
American lol they literally are from a Nazi controlled area in USA.
My fav tune, and most played at funerals, and returning soldiers. Your pipes have a rich sound with drones in tune. I enjoy hearing you play all of our fav pipe tunes. Do you play band set tunes?
❤❤👍🙏
Everybody forgot about the german soldiers who fought, suffered, got wounded and died for their country. Most of them were'nt involved of this inhuman shit happening back then. They jsut were normal soldiers. Full of love for their family, relatives and friends and full of fear for their own government and the enemy.
Fuck war, and fuck hate!
Victory for the bankers.
Very true. You can see the freemasonic holy grail in this video meaning they are one of them/of their bloodline. After the Swiss Nazi templar monarchy succeeded at sending all the commoners to die they plundered the world and profited immensely. Then they established the bank of international settlements in Switzerland which has trillions in fraud to this day. They infiltrated every place on earth for their empire.
Interesting thanks for sharing piper. Never of it very interesting.
Im sure the holy grail swiss Nazi templar symbolism and war celebration was very interesting. Glad you enjoyed.
Well played, Lass. It is good to see a kilt in the Skye tartan, ...my mum+'s paternal line orginated from the Skye area. Slàinte🏴
Good, Good, 👍👍👍❤️💖💞💕💞💖❤️the big-pipes..and women.
Parabens, vc e linda e seu trabalho e maravilhoso
Well played, beautiful sounding pipes... can you tell me the manufacturer (drones, chanter) and the reed set you're using? Keep going... appreciate your investment!
I can't quite place her Scottish accent. Is it one of the western isles.............Yes, I have it, the one that is 4000 miles off the coast.
Brouht tears to mine eyes. However I don't know why the notification didn't come through. 🤔
🥰
And to the 15 people who didn't like this video, you have no soul !
Very nice played 💖 What is the name of your pipes?
Thank you! My pipes are McCallum and the Chanter and Chanter reed are both G1 products👍🏼
