    About this video:
. Brother Ray Is At It Again was released in March 1980. It’s the final of Ray's four LPs on Atlantic in the late 1970s. Brother Ray Is At It Again closes the door on the 1970s for Ray. In many ways, it’s one of the most transitional LPs of his career.
He had released at least one LP per year since 1957 (and before that, several singles per year dating back to 1948). But, following this 1980 album, there would be a three-year gap until his next LP, in a new style and on a new label. Brother Ray Is At It Again is a wonderful album, with varied styles and Ray's astonishing voice tying them together.
Only one single was released, the brutal funk of the opening track, "Compared To What". Its B-side also appears on the album: "Now That We've Found Each Other". Unexpectedly, Ray Charles covers "Ophelia" by The Band on this LP. The good-natured lope of the song suits Ray very well.
Ray Charles, unusually for this era, even wrote one of the songs on Brother Ray Is At It Again: closing track "Questions", which laments the struggles that good people are made to endure in society.
The title has an exclamation mark on the cover of this album, but not on the record labels.
