I also love newer INXS and actually think their 1997 album Elegantly Wasted was one of their best albums.
Great reaction to one of Australia's best rock/pop groups (IMO). For your next reaction to INXS, I would highly recommend the track "What You Need" from their 1991 Live Baby Live concert at Wembley Stadium (UK). Their studio tracks are gold, but it's their live performances in concert that stand them apart for many fans. New sub here 👍

Yes indeed! Loving your INXS reactions. I really do appreciate that you are checking them out from early on. Everyone is probably going to tell you to react to them live at Wembly in 1991, and you definitely should, but I like that you are starting out with their work pre Kick. That's the 1987 album that made them household names. They were already stars prior to Kick, but they morphed into something else after that album. Michael was the lyricist, so expect a lot of INXS lyrics to be sensuous, if not downright sexual, just like he was. There are 3 brothers ( Tim Farriss on guitar, Jon Farriss on drums and Andrew Farriss on Keys and the main composer of the tunes) which could be why you notice a sense of comraderie within this band. I also like your input about the appearance and fashion sense of the bands you react to. Keeping that in mind, you definitely should do a deep dive into Duran Duran, another iconic 80s band, still active today. Start with their early work also. The official video for Planet Earth and/or Careless Memories is a good place to start.

They always had pizazz. Plus musically they were just incredible. My teenage years 💞. I loved their albums Listen Like Thieves and Kick, but still loved the music from Shabooh Shoobah.
Good reaction! You're right about this song dripping with sexuality and almost every song they sing having it. Michael Hutchence was a major sex symbol during the 1980s, especially the late 1980s when I entered high school. This was also their first hit in the US and the first song I ever heard. It's still a favorite of mine all these years later. It's also one of my favorite videos.
