It would be nice if it could translate video in real time.
Great video. Thank you !!
Great thank you
The app is extremely limited.
Not to say that does not have Portuguese (European).
Amazing…I totally ignored till now. Good way for me to add to my languages skills
🐬 Great overview!
TIL there’s a currency converter somewhere on my phone. Does it have a tip calculator as well?
My only real gripe with the Translate app is that you can't edit the input text once it's been translated. I like to use Translate to test my Korean pronunciation. If it doesn't hear me correctly, I would like to edit the Korean text slightly to see that I know the correct spelling. Or might want to change the tense of the verb I said or maybe add some more words to the sentence. But with Translate you can no longer do that (you use to be able to). So I tend to use Papago, a dedicated Korean / English translation app.
Would be great having translation app on Mac as well with history sync
Is there a way to get the translate action button on my iPhone 14 Pro Max?
Waiting for Swedish, or it does me no good. At least I’ll know what to do while I’m waiting. Thanks.
Good suggestions here, thanks!
For whatever it’s worth, I have found Google Translate to do a better job with Chinese. However, Apple’s translator works fine for sanity-checking my Chinese writing (i.e., write whatever I want to say in Chinese, then translate it to English just as a quick sanity check before sending it).
It’s great but it’s a limited amount of countries languages available
Yes, and it does not have my native Filipino language which sucks for me.
Apple has a built in currency exchange ?? Do tell
My app is up to date and doesn’t show that dictionary option to look up individual words? ?? I even tried downloading that language to see if that was the issue but still no option.
Trouble shooting ??? I finally began to use Translate this week, my text was being translated to Simplified Mandarin as I either typed or spoke , and suddenly, or not so suddenly ( I may have watched a video about some iPhone skill? and changed a setting) and BAM nada, a message in the English half of the window " Translation not available" Any thoughts anyone????
TIL Apple has a translate app!
🐬
I am disappointed there is no Filipino Tagalog language in the iOS App. On Android the Google Keyboard supports Filipino Tagalog language in the translate App.
Las chicas latinoamericanas son las mejores jaja
Very helpful. I ignored this app using Google Translate instead, I think because I favored Google Maps over Apple Maps, and developed a Google bias. But I think this would be easier for me to use. I'll try it out.
Watch it get some AI improvements with iOS 18.
It is good for very very few languages… for 85% of the planet is not a feature de add. Microsoft translate automatically translate pages from any language and also their translate app does all for you
unfortunately has not enough languages so I have to stick with Google.
I live in Europe and the app is great! I do miss languages like Kurdish, which is spoken very often here in Germany.
As somebody who took Español en mi escuela, yo puedo aceptar la aplicación de traducir de necesita más lenguas
I used Google translate for part of that for not only boning up on my Spanish skills but but for comparison between Apple translate and Google translate
I do have a friend who now lives in Spain and despite the Apple translate app supporting Spain Spanish it needs Spanish from Mexico Central and South American Spanish
you guys need someone to look at email because you have too much!
DeepL is a much better translation app
Slow down
Apple's Translate App Is censored
This app can only translate 20 languages (google translate 133 languages), FAR from “impressive” if you ask me. Not even Swedish. And it’s been like this for MANY years.
👍👍👍👍👍
Well stay with google
No Swedish, no Hindi, English idioms not being translated. At the moment this app is a bit of a joke
Not so impressive when it doesn't support most of the languages.
This app isn't free i think... Google translate is free n much better than this
Sorry, but their app has very few languages, thats not impressive, thats sad
When Google Translate is some clicks and swipe away
