Maybe a Royal Rumble Challenge? Set to legend difficulty, start at number 1 and play it out. The person who wins the rumble or makes it the furthest wins the challenge. Also love you guys keep it up.
Maybe also time it too. So if the first person wins it, the next person has to beat that time. Obviously if they don't win, they just have to try go further.
Allow me to explain why certain moves don't KO as often as they should (yes that's right, I'm going even DEEPER than Slip) So within the SLUS file of this game, each move has 10 bytes (12 if you count the move's ID). The second byte is what I like to call the KO rate (the byte before this also determines if a move can KO significantly more often as well; basically an on/off byte). Among these moves, the move with the highest KO rate is NOT the F-5 (28), NOT the Show Stopper (26), and NOT the Rock Bottom (20). It's the Stone Cold Stunner (Stunners 2, 3, 4, and 6), having a 30 KO rate. If anything, Steve Austin (despite being less powerful relative to the first 4 SmackDown games) may still be the best at Slobber Knocker (alongside Lesnar). The Rock Bottom inflicts the most base damage out of every move (32 damage), but its KO rate is a 20, making it difficult to KO consistently with it in Slobber Knocker. This may be due to the fact that The Rock Bottom wasn't originally a finishing move (since you could only have 1 finishing move in the PS1 SmackDown games), so the devs probably increased only its damage values from those games to JBI. Also, another thing, a lot of the power/hard-hitting moves inflict less damage than they should (Derailleur/Baldo Bomb = 12 damage; Train Wreck = 16 damage, etc). This issue was mostly fixed from SvR onwards with a lot of these moves' damage values becoming more streamlined, at the cost of some other moves inflicting less damage (especially finishers). That's all I have to say. If anything can explain this better than I, you're more than welcome to! 😄 EDIT: Oh yeah, Kane's Chokeslam and Powerbomb both have KO rates of 22, so they're just as good as each other when it comes to getting the pin/KO (with the Chokeslam being slightly better due to its higher damage output; 22 --> 29)
@@gavincalhoun7454 Thank you! :D Here is an example of what the damage strings look like in HCTP and the original SvR: C1 13 20 16 14 17 00 00 00 14 00 00 C1 13 = 13C1 (Move ID for Chokeslam 5) 20 = Determines the KO strength 16 = Determines the KO rate/pin success 1x = Additional Head Damage x4 = How long the opponent stays down for (?) 17 00 00 = Difficult to explain, but these (along with 1x) are the overall damage outputs. It's complex, but not impossible to understand. Here, 17 equals 29 damage (7*4 = 28 head damage, plus the 1 body damage there). The 1x = 0.25, so there's no additional head damage, since there are no decimal values in hexadecimal. The last 3 bytes are for strikes (SFX, mainly). The third byte (20; for strikes) also determines whether or not the opponent barely sells (very quick sell animation), moderately sells (long sell, but won't fall), or dramatically sells (always fall down).
There was a big cheese in one of the later slobberknockers. With Chavo. They come in, clothesline, leg submission was the Trailer Hitch and they'd always tap out almost immediately.
Triple H's down + strike is fast, targets the head and pops the guy right back up for more punches or the irish whip strike into finisher or the gut kick into finisher. I spammed nothing but those punches and I think a grounded headlock to quickly injure heads and the Pedigree ended them. I did very well with this even on SmackDown! difficulty.
I wanna see this become a series where you guys play the slobber knocker challenge in a game like smackdown 2 kyr, Just bring it, etc. Just as long as the game has slobber knocker mode
Something that would help greatly in this mode, where it mostly comes down to how fast you can rebuild your momentum, is to follow up any move that leaves your opponent on the mat with a quick taunt, especially one like The Rock's where it's so fast and it even walks you forward as fast as walking does. Chances are you'll get to them while they're still downed, so there won't be any advantage lost. Filling those little gaps with essentially free momentum would do wonders to your ability to avoid the slog portions of this challenge.
guys pls revisit this challenge! i still remember when johnny did the Rhyno one outdoors waaay back when and it's always super fun to see the strategies and such
I'd like to see No Mercy's Survival Mode in the next defense instead of HCTP, to shake things up a little. There are only 5 games + No Mercy to have a Slobber Knocker match and those are SmackDown 2 - HCTP and WWE 2K14.

You guys should do Powermove Pro Wresting next. Game is based off New Japan with fictional characters. Was my first wrestling game and was the base for the WCW vs the World and original WWF Smackdown games and the N64 titles from what I read. It’s not as advanced as the games that came after but it’s still one of my favorites. Has an old school feel between ring announcer wrestler intros. I think it’s worth you guys checking out.
It may take a little more time, but I think one or two of you guys doing the Survival mode in Def Jam Vendetta would be great, winner has the quickest time\most wins
Great stuff! This mode was always so fun, no idea why they removed it. Survival Mode in No Mercy is the obvious suggestion. Perhaps some sort of handicap challenge taking on two or three of the strongest characters. I would say Handicap Iron Man in No Mercy on hardest difficulty, but that might be going too far...
Dang guys, no Angle? Stone Cold? HBK? Taker? Nash? It’s about the strength and finishers, honestly Kevin Nash and Big Show were going to be the best choices
This challenge will be even easier in SVR 2006 because Andre (and Big Show) can just lift up cruiserweights and other wrestlers and toss them out of the ring after a big boot
I'd love to see more content like this, honestly, it was so fun and you could also do it on Shut Your Mouth...also I'm hoping that Slobber Knocker will return for WWE 2K23 (I doubt it, but it'd be cool to see.)

Crush hour: fastest to get 10 kills maybe its a weird one but interesting at the same time
smackdown 2: who can win a ladder match quickest?
Doing this but with randomized characters would be great
How about Survival mode in No Mercy? Most eliminated wins.
who can win a Elmination Chamber the quickest and get the most elminations the quickest

Here is an example of what the damage strings look like in HCTP and the original SvR: C1 13 20 16 14 17 00 00 00 14 00 00
C1 13 = 13C1 (Move ID for Chokeslam 5)
20 = Determines the KO strength

1x = Additional Head Damage
x4 = How long the opponent stays down for (?)
