If you don't shift from H4 to L4 in Neutral the beep will come Continously.
Please shift the vehicle in N Mode before you Shift from H4 to L4.

Does driving on roads with 4 low engaged at full acceleration could damage 4WD system & transmission?

4 low must be used only in extreme off road conditions like rocks, deep slush snow etc where high acceleration is not required as u are on slow speed. Pls avoid high acceleration and speed on this mode as it may increase the wear and tear

What does happen when L4 is activated without shifting to neutral gear ? Will it damage the vehicle ? I do not have much knowledge about these all things. Once I have done this because of my curiosity in my fortuner. Nobody has reminded me about it. The thing I knew was to stop the vehicle completely before engaging different driving modes.
