Season 5, Episode 466 - Severn Valley Railway Autumn Steam Gala (19/09/2014)

It is time for the annual tradition that we usually visit around this time of the year and we roll up, roll up once again for the Severn Valley Railway's Autumn Steam Gala

Somerset and Dorset Joint Railway's Class 7F 53808/88 on loan from West Somerset Railway before annual overhaul
London Midland and Scottish Railways' Standard 'Caprotti' Class 5MT 73129 on loan from the Midland Railway - Butterley
Southern Railways Class M7 30053 on loan from the Swanage Railway
British Railways Class 4F Fowler 43924 on loan from the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway
Southern Railways Battle of Britain Class 34053 Sir Keith Park
British Railways Ivatt Class 4 43106 'The Flying Pig'
Great Western Railway 45xx Prairie Class 4566 in British Railways black
Other locos at the gala event were
Great Western Railway 14xx Class 1450 on autocoach duties between Bridgnorth and Hampton Loade
Great Western Railway 78xx Class 7812 Earlestroke Manor on night train duties
Great Western Railway 28xx Class 2857 which should have been on the goods train but was a no show
It was a very good day despite the weather being a little bit iffy
