Transformers aren't 100% for kids. There are many collector's items made for well, adult collectors, and much of the media is directed at a more mature audience, like Transformers Prime, the films, and the comics, so don't feel bad!
as a G1 fan who only started collecting Masterpiece figures this year... I'm completely blown away by the cartoon fidelity and engineering of these figures. Just need a to apply for a bank loan to collect them all.

Im 53 so when these came out in the 80s i was a little too old for them. I was a micronauts kid. That being said, who the hell designs these things? The engineering is mind blowing!
Seeing the Bayverse transformers come right after the OG ones (no matter how cool the engineering of both toys are) really makes me appreciate the aesthetics of G1 even more. And this is coming from someone who was all-in on the Bayverse when it first came out. I excused a LOT of Bay's decisions back in the day because of how hyped I was to finally get a live action Transformers movie. That and (and I know I'm supposed to pretend I have standards, but I'm tired) I like explosions too.
Bayverse still had some cool designs for transformers. His take on optimus, mirage, ironhide, jazz, ratchet, bee, drift, crosshair, lockdown, barricade, etc etc etc were all pretty cool transformers and he did a good job at making them actually seem like alien robots in the first few movies. He did have some ugly one though like Wheeljack, starscream, soundwave, etc

The Grimlock, Sunstreaker and Sideswipe are the only ones I want. Those were the Holy Grail for me back in the day. Could not find them anywhere to save my life. My mom hated taking me to every toy store in the city for three figures.

WheelJack. There were a lot of classic cars in the original line. -Jazz was the 930 Slantnose Porsche, -Sunstreaker and SideSwipe were the Yellow and Red Lamborghinis (shown in the video), -Mirage was the Formula One car, -Tracks was a C3 Corvette, -Prowl was the 280Z police car (also show in the video)
Bit too long, but considering the number of Transformers shown, it's worth the time watching this video One real good take away for this compilation and it's individual video for each of these transformers is that the he does redundant steps but what make it interesting is he does it in a way that you have the perspective on how it is on each side like left and right legs or arms, unlike the other site/s, you can see them do the same thing on the same part on different camera angles. Last item I Love about watching on this channel is that you can tell that they do the transformation process in a way that he knows it well not just like someone thinking let me make a video on something i have no idea how to do it right the first time.
