@ccrammy Sort of. Travis Knight only directed bbm, but never touched rotb. They changed directors, writers, and entire animation teams. The making of rotb was made with little to nothing of bbm in mind, with nothing more than a simple line, "I know one was nice to you." Lorenzo Bonaventure has stated himself that he doesn't care about continuity and that transformers fans shouldn't either. Regardless of where the knightverse goes, if we can even call it that anymore, we are never seeing more of that style again.

Thank you for this cool compilation video, Touch Toys! I do really like the new Cybertronian designs... although I still think that the vehicle modes of their take on Megatron feel "half baked". I hope that they will be able to improve upon that model in the future 😊

There are a few reasons. The decepticons tend to transform into military vehicles like jets and tanks, which are quite a lot bigger than the cars and trucks the autobots turn into. Since the first toys back in the 80's, there have been more autobots than decepticons as well, I think the decepticons being bigger is meant to balance the two sides out in terms of overall strength.
