You can buy a tiny AC portable air conditioner. I bought one for my car as I car camp around sork. If I have one in the car trust me, you have the space, they are tiny, you do put ice in it and it does make a difference. You do you though. I bought the pet cool mat and the headset fan ironically last week and they have arrived. Not used yet, but last summer car camping was a killer with heat, the AC box saved me. Hoping addition helps more. As for the negative people 🙄 ignore, easier said then done, I know, but recognise these are keyboard warriors that love picking at others rarher then looking from within and at themselves. As my late beautiful mum.would say, misery loves company. You live life the way you want to, your life. Stay blessed 🙏🏾

I always find your videos to be very relaxing and inspiring, Monique.💜 I have to wonder whether the people who see otherwise aren't simply projecting their own unhappy perspectives onto others... 🤔 I also appreciate seeing the realities of van living (also known as just... living). It would be weird if you made it look as though everything is sunshine and flowers, 24/7! That would seem artificial to me.

Hello Monique. I don't know if your siphon is broken, but they are always easier to use when the liquid you are siphoning from is in a container on a higher surface than where u are siphoning into. SA. Hi Monique thanks for another interesting update! You know you are amazing living this way. I know you said that portable AC is way too bulky for your small space. I think a few of us have been suggesting 'air coolers'. These are not AC as such but definitely something you need to check. It cools rather well if you have the gadget pointing your way. The size ... mine is just 6 x 6 x 5 1/2 inches. They should be less than $30. Keep safe, Monique! ❤

Girl when I tell you I have raged cry because my dogs broke, peed, threw up or pooped on something in my vehicle and I have to clean it that very second. I’ve cried over having to figure out a new way to set everything up so nothing will fall or break again. I always feel great after I figure out how to make it for efficient but the process has me little punching something (I’m in therapy for the strong emotional responses to stress 😅). It’s a mess when anything happens in the small space it feels like “why does everything always go wrong.” However, I’ve recently started to recognize I don’t react as strongly when accidents happen. I look at it see if I can continue on a few days without attending to it and if I need to attend right there, breathe and do it slowly. Doing it slowly helps because my system doesn’t go on overdrive and tell me “you need to get it done now or something bad will happen.” Living in a vehicle helps you confront you. 😂❤
I appreciate you sharing how you’ve started to deal with these things. I agree; not everything has to be tended to exactly in that moment. Some things can wait. I can give myself time to breathe and think with logic, rather than extreme emotions. Thank you 😊❤️.

The neck fan will help! I actually use mine at night in bed. Just wrap it around your neck and go to sleep 😊 I have used during the day while taking a walk as well.
Yes the cooling mat should help. I've used those before, but found that two helped, because they do warm up. Not sure how long they would stay cool in a hot car. Whew. I would have trouble surviving the heat that you endure. Take care of yourself!! 💗💗Have you ever seen the solar car window vents? I've never seen them used, but they look interesting.
Ever think about having your grey water tank empty through bottom of your van? Car camped for a while, used continuous spray bottle for fresh up. Just trying to be helpful. Safe travels.

It is cooler in like the northern AZ area but still warm...mid 80's-high 90's during the summer...so maybe save this particular area until November...cuz that's when it FINALLY cools down...northern cali, and along the coast is about the only place where it is cooler during the summer...NW region. Walmart has a Arctic Blast. It is a mini fan that blows arctic air. You can USB charge it. It is small and compact. A friend brought me one and said he got it from Walmart

If it makes you feel any better, stuff breaks a lot in a house also. Washing machines, dryers, plumbing problems, electrical problems, continuously break down. Not to mention car problems; sensors,, brakes, tires etc. It's the same thing no matter where you live. It like Job. One problem after another. You are being tested like everyone is.
Crying is turning on and off a faucet, you have to release that build up, nothing wrong with releasing it makes you feel so much better. If you don't like the content don't follow/watch simple.

When you go to the library next time, there's a good book by Sally K. Norton titled "toxic superfoods" - it has very good infos and a questionnaire to help you check if you're sensitive to a lot of oxalates. 🤔🫡📚 The sounds/smells of rain and thunder is everything! ⛈️ I seriously find the UA-cam videos like "rain sounds on a tin roof" or "cozy van in the rain" and fall asleep to the bliss! 🙃🤗🎉

At the moment, I’m thinking 5-10 acres; 5 is definitely the minimum because I want a decent amount of space between neighbors. We’d like to be as much off-grid as possible. I think I’ll know more of what we’re able to do once the land is purchased and it’s easier to visualize everything.

J, life is SO short! I’m on the other side, with more years behind than in front of me. I had 2 pieces of cake last week and a piece of pie today. I also eat few processed foods and only drink water and kombucha. I believe in balance. Please eat in moderation and enjoy your food!🥰

Geez, I think crying is such a great and healthy outlet! I feel sorry for people who haven't learned this. I always find your videos to be very relaxing and inspiring, Monique.💜 I have to wonder whether the people who see otherwise aren't simply projecting their own unhappy perspectives onto others... 🤔 I also appreciate seeing the realities of van living (also known as just... living). It would be weird if you made it look as though everything is sunshine and flowers, 24/7! That would seem artificial to me.
I feel like they’re projecting, but it’s still annoying, lol. I try not to dwell on the negativity, though. Being on UA-cam is helping me grow thick skin. I’m happy you find my videos relaxing. Thank you 😊.

Hello Monique. I don't know if your siphon is broken, but they are always easier to use when the liquid you are siphoning from is in a container on a higher surface than where u are siphoning into. I hope this helps.

I know you said that portable AC is way too bulky for your small space. I think a few of us have been suggesting 'air coolers'. These are not AC as such but definitely something you need to check. It cools rather well if you have the gadget pointing your way. The size ... mine is just 6 x 6 x 5 1/2 inches. They should be less than $30.

Girl when I tell you I have raged cry because my dogs broke, peed, threw up or pooped on something in my vehicle and I have to clean it that very second. I’ve cried over having to figure out a new way to set everything up so nothing will fall or break again. I always feel great after I figure out how to make it for efficient but the process has me little punching something (I’m in therapy for the strong emotional responses to stress 😅). It’s a mess when anything happens in the small space it feels like “why does everything always go wrong.” However, I’ve recently started to recognize I don’t react as strongly when accidents happen. I look at it see if I can continue on a few days without attending to it and if I need to attend right there, breathe and do it slowly. Doing it slowly helps because my system doesn’t go on overdrive and tell me “you need to get it done now or something bad will happen.” Living in a vehicle helps you confront you. 😂❤
I appreciate you sharing how you’ve started to deal with these things. I agree; not everything has to be tended to exactly in that moment. Some things can wait. I can give myself time to breathe and think with logic, rather than extreme emotions. Thank you 😊❤️.

The neck fan will help! I actually use mine at night in bed. Just wrap it around your neck and go to sleep 😊 I have used during the day while taking a walk as well.

Yes the cooling mat should help. I've used those before, but found that two helped, because they do warm up. Not sure how long they would stay cool in a hot car. Whew. I would have trouble surviving the heat that you endure. Take care of yourself!! 💗💗Have you ever seen the solar car window vents? I've never seen them used, but they look interesting.

Ever think about having your grey water tank empty through bottom of your van? Car camped for a while, used continuous spray bottle for fresh up. Just trying to be helpful. Safe travels.

I get so frustrated with the small space and shifting items just to function. There are trolls who feed off difficulties to pounce on with the intention to hurt. And last but not least...heading west for the summer...well as I'm sure you know, here in Phoenix it will be next to nearly impossible, since wwe get above 100-115 degrees many days during the summer. It is cooler in like the northern AZ area but still warm...mid 80's-high 90's during the summer...so maybe save this particular area until November...cuz that's when it FINALLY cools down...northern cali, and along the coast is about the only place where it is cooler during the summer...NW region. But I hope when you get here in AZ, you and I might be able to meet cuz yes, we relate! Thanks again and hopefully things stop getting broken so you can have a break!

If it makes you feel any better, stuff breaks a lot in a house also. Washing machines, dryers, plumbing problems, electrical problems, continuously break down. Not to mention car problems; sensors,, brakes, tires etc. It's the same thing no matter where you live. It like Job. One problem after another. You are being tested like everyone is.

I don’t have the space for one of those fans 😫😫. The goal when I started this build was to install a maxxair fan , but my solar panels take up all the space on my tiny roof, so I only have room for my little basic roof vent.

Regarding headaches: as a Nutritionist, I couldn't help but to make a possible connection with the fresh greens, especially the raw collard in big smoothies... not wanting to create more food anxiety, 🤗 just mentioning that some people are more sensitive to oxalates and headaches/brain fog is a common symptom. When you go to the library next time, there's a good book by Sally K. Norton titled "toxic superfoods" - it has very good infos and a questionnaire to help you check if you're sensitive to a lot of oxalates. 🤔🫡📚

What size homestead do you hope to have and do you want to be completely off grid?
At the moment, I’m thinking 5-10 acres; 5 is definitely the minimum because I want a decent amount of space between neighbors. We’d like to be as much off-grid as possible. I think I’ll know more of what we’re able to do once the land is purchased and it’s easier to visualize everything.

Oh. I think you’ll see more van lifers in the future. Don’t be too, too weirded out-unless you’re questionable yourself and that’s why you’re so suspicious of everyone lol (jk). I only just recently heard a deceased preachers vision (RIP Pastor David Wilkerson), and it was very randomly given to him so he randomly stated it in what he was saying. Anyway. I also thought he was full of it until I heard what God showed him. He saw people packing up in their cars and leaving the cities in droves and living out with other people in their cars in the fields or something. Sounds like BLM land to me… or Crown land if you’re a Canadian haha. But yeah he already had a vision long ago now of what you’re enjoying today lol. He said something big happens, and it sends everybody out of the cities like that.
I wouldn’t think too much of it, but being cautious never hurts either! Always have protection and a plan, right? 😊

J, life is SO short! I’m on the other side, with more years behind than in front of me. I had 2 pieces of cake last week and a piece of pie today. I also eat few processed foods and only drink water and kombucha. I believe in balance. Please eat in moderation and enjoy your food!🥰

My chores are similar, I build my tiny house out of a cargo trailer, I choose to stay put especially in the spring bc I have an African grey she needs stability during matings season. I mentioned long ago about drilling a hole and doing away with grey tank ..I get why you didn't do that bcuz you want to control where and when the water drains..... So I had a thought... still with the hole but put some kinda value that way can control when and where you dump.. idk if that makes any sense..lol just a thought.. Monique, I agree with you about the comments. I just re-started my channel ( current videos about my no build van) and mostly people are nice and supportive. But those Other Folks... I just have to shake my head. The negativity is pointless for them to put out there in the comments. It makes Them look crazy. But we have to deal with it and just move on from it.
