    like the features, setup was difficult for some of my devices (August Door lock, ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxhB5YOMNj04GuoAosExygP4cH-dKeb4aB Bose speaker)... but all switches and outlets (5), thermostat, tankless water heater. Unfortunately all I can do is turn on/off Bose. It doesn't support volume or changing channels, but I believe that is due to the particular speaker I have.... Worth getting if you already have other devices to use it with... I don't sit around and ask Alexa questions much so that doesn't really matter to me....

    Awesome channel. Question: Is there a way to get notifications on your iphone when the Aqara sensor detects no motion? It only seems to let you play sounds on your home pods or change the lights but I don’t see the option on ifttt or in the aqara or home kit app. Also for whatever reason my aqara hub or vibration sensor don’t show up in alexa even though the skill is linked. Any advice?

    • @AdamsTechLife
      @AdamsTechLife  Рік тому +1

      in homekit, theres only alerts for motion and not "no motion", however you can create a "no motion" alert after no motion for x amount of time alert in the aqara app in the automation tab. as far as alexa, according to aqaras website, the vibration sensor is not supported but for the hub, maybe try re-linking it?

    • @RickyOfficialVisuals
      @RickyOfficialVisuals Рік тому

      @@AdamsTechLife first of all thanks for responding. Love your channel. Secondly when I go to homekit and choose the sensor it give me the options: Detects Motion and Stops detects motion but again when I go to the next step only the option to choose between my homepod and lights. Granted I just started adding a few items to homekit since Alexa is my main assistant. In the aqara app I only see the if than that function that gives me no options for a timer or a No motion detected choice in the menu. Thanks for clearing up the sensor issue with Alexa I will try to relink the hub to Alexa. Really appreciate you taking the time to respond

    I have the Aqara motion sensor on the inside of my mail slot. It has two shutters, one on the outside of the door and one on the inside. It gives a great warning on the app when the postman comes by and deposits our mail. I have a camera pointing at the door so I can even see what is on my doormat.

    HELP!!! I tried the whole “making your dryer smart” thing with a vibration sensor but since it’s not running most of the time, it just keeps running the scene for my lights. So I’ll turn the scene off and it’ll turn back on within a minute or two. Any help would be appreciated!

    I use leak detector sensor for detecting when bathtub is full. So, I do not have to check when it's full when fill water to tub. I do not install to a fix location on tub but drop it down by a wire to a water level I want. When take bath in tub, I move it out to avoid notificatiok again.

    Thank you for the ideas especially with the clothes washer. I wanted to do something similar with my dishwasher but it’s cycle runs for 3 hours and 10 minutes. Any ideas on how to set that up? I noticed that the Aqara app only allows a delay up to 59 minutes. I tried to daisy chain 3 of them (aka loop) to get to 3 hours but that didn’t work.
