I’m wondering if they did an Influenster campaign. People get the stuff for free and then feel like they have to give positive reviews. I’ve been in some and find it baffling the shit people make up about just average products. It’s too bad, as it makes it really hard for consumers to get a true account of the product.
Yeah that can be sus sometimes, but I always try to read a few reviews of each star category to see what people really are saying. I got the glowy serum stuff as a sample with purchase from Sephora and loved it so much I bought the full size. The bottle is HUGE and the product has a lot of versatility. I bet sam would have liked it more if she had the lighter shade, which is the one I like. That’s the only saie product I’ve used and it’s the only one I own. But I do love it! It’s one of my favorite makeup products to use these days.
Hannah Louise Poston is the best. She basically helped shaped my relationship to beautiful things. And tbh I immediately clicked on this video because I remember Hannah's review and I was like, "Oooh I want to know what Sam has to say."
I don't know I do hear a lot of UA-camrs talk good about their blushes but that's all I really hear them talk about all the other stuff I hadn't even heard of
I did look at the Sephora reviews and... They do seem suspect. I find it hard to believe that many people got super hyped about what's a pretty unremarkable set of products.
I have 4 of their products & personally love them all! I have dry skin that’s pretty clear so I find the products really complement that… I think makeup is subjective & one product/brand won’t work for everyone
Something I've noticed on occasion, is when there's a new brand at Sephora (happens on other websites too of course), a lot of people will rush to buy it and review it, and they'll do little sneaky things such as hide low reviews, take ages to approve reviews, or they'll publish it and then it disappears etc. The latter happened to me personally when I tried to leave a 2 star review on a crappy product, and it disappeared after 3 days. Were they thinking I wouldn't notice? 🤔 So the really good reviews can be legit, but others just don't make it. Alternatively there are websites that offer big incentives to encourage customers to speak about products positively. Store credits, big discounts, free full sized items etc for people that leave good reviews. So that can also skew overall ratings.

Sephora packing is so inconsistent. I've had fragile things come in those new paper bag things they're shipping and of course things come broken. Literally smushed in and the paper bag has opened and been taped over. Also fun fact if you ask for replacements for broken items too often, even when you send photos their system will literally lock you out of customer service assistance. When is Ulta coming to Canada?
That’s weird, I’ve always had my items replaced no problem. They even let me keep the damaged product and didn’t make me send a picture. Maybe it’s a Sephora Canada thing.
ever since ulta started shipping from the stores rather than warehouses in order to increase the speed, it's not any better. perhaps if you lived in a metro area near a warehouse, it would be great, but i have received obviously used and broken items so much so that i won't even shop there anymore. they once sent me an enormous box filled with mint haircare products included that i didn't even order which exploded and soaked my refinished front porch through the box. the stains are still there years later and they gave me a $10 off coupon for online only so yeah they can choke.

the daniel sandler watercolour blushes are liquid/watery and the packaging is great. tiny squeeze bottles. doesn't have to be complicated! less wasteful packaging too.
Hannah's review on Saie was eye opening to me ... I fell for the branding and bought the bronze glowy super gel and it is .... Not good. And I didn't even realise the extent of how much I'd been swindled until I saw Hannah's video. It's crazy how much marketing brainwashes us lol

The Saie Slip Tint is the only thing I like and it's amazing on my skin. I wear it over the Auric and they pair so nicely together. I tried their tinted spf and it was horrific. I have not tired anything else.
I have the lighter version of the Glowy Super gel and I love it! I have oily skin, and it gives a subtle glow, and since it dries down a bit, it works with my skin type!

I used the dewy gel highlighter on my cheekbones and I LOVE IT. I definitely wouldn’t rub it all over my face. I have the marshmallow bouncy one as well. The gel highlighter is by far my favorite. It looks amazing as a cheek bone highlight. Try it in targeted areas and see if that changes your mind😇

Lol they probably say don't put it on a matte foundation because they don't carry a matt Foundation good marketing make for you .now u need heir face products as well
I was thinking it would probably just lift the foundation. That’s usually was happens when you put emollient things on top of matte/powdery foundations
I’ve only tried their slip tint and sun melt bronzer and I do love both of them- the texture of the slip tint is really fresh and dewy and skin looking with the spf35 and the bronzer is the product I like less but it blends well with cream blushes

I have ended up with a lot of these bronze glowy face products that don’t do anything and look dry. To use them up I just mix them with sunscreen or body moisturiser looks very pretty! Xxx
I’ve only used the slip tint tinted moisturizer from Saie and I love it I use it every single day-it’s so pretty on the skin. I’ve heard good things about the cream bronzer too

Ohhh Saie. They also have cotton face rounds to remove makeup that I LOVE. I actually disliked their lip balm so much I returned it 😅 I do like the illuminator in the glass jar and the dew balm (I have two shades but I agree the packaging is super wasteful due to how much comes out).
I use the super glow stuff and I am obsessed with it. the bottle is so huge so you can really play with it. I put it on my neck/chest area and shoulders when i want to look super glowy. I also use it as a highlighter or put it all over my face and just spot conceal and do my brows/slap on mascara for a quick 5 minute makeup look. It’s a really pretty product but I’m sure the shade matters. I have the lightest shade. I got it as a sample from Sephora and bought the full size because I loved it so much. It’s sort of like the Charlotte tilbury glow product but more my vibe. I did buy the CT one and tried to work with it but it just wasn’t a good match for me. The saie one is a better product for me, I’d say.
I LOVE their dewy highlighter gel so much (on top of foundation) that when I saw you were about to lambast the brand I took it personally hahaha. So glad they didn't disappoint on the whole (the marshmallow highlighter is VERY offensive to me though)
That blush would be great in a squeezy tube with a roller ball on the top, I think. You could put a bit of pressure on the tube to get more to squeeze out around the ball if you need it, or let gravity do all the work with the ball for a sheerer application.
I actually really like the sunscreen and tinted moisturizer- doesn’t pill on me at all. I also like the gloss, and Super Glowy Gel. Not a fan of the brow gel tho. And that balm have not tried and have no desire to
The skin tint and blush are to two things from them I like, everything else is just like take it or leave it. But the skin tint is amazing, I really love it. The glowy super gel is also pretty nice and I like that it has some nice skincare ingredients in it. I think it has papaya enzymes which is like a super mild exfoliant.

Ohhh Saie. They also have cotton face rounds to remove makeup that I LOVE. I actually disliked their lip balm so much I returned it 😅 I do like the illuminator in the glass jar and the dew balm (I have two shades but I agree the packaging is super wasteful due to how much comes out).
I use the super glow stuff and I am obsessed with it. the bottle is so huge so you can really play with it. I put it on my neck/chest area and shoulders when i want to look super glowy. I also use it as a highlighter or put it all over my face and just spot conceal and do my brows/slap on mascara for a quick 5 minute makeup look. It’s a really pretty product but I’m sure the shade matters. I have the lightest shade. I got it as a sample from Sephora and bought the full size because I loved it so much. It’s sort of like the Charlotte tilbury glow product but more my vibe. I did buy the CT one and tried to work with it but it just wasn’t a good match for me. The saie one is a better product for me, I’d say.
I LOVE their dewy highlighter gel so much (on top of foundation) that when I saw you were about to lambast the brand I took it personally hahaha. So glad they didn't disappoint on the whole (the marshmallow highlighter is VERY offensive to me though)

That blush would be great in a squeezy tube with a roller ball on the top, I think. You could put a bit of pressure on the tube to get more to squeeze out around the ball if you need it, or let gravity do all the work with the ball for a sheerer application.
I actually really like the sunscreen and tinted moisturizer- doesn’t pill on me at all. I also like the gloss, and Super Glowy Gel. Not a fan of the brow gel tho. And that balm have not tried and have no desire to

The skin tint and blush are to two things from them I like, everything else is just like take it or leave it. But the skin tint is amazing, I really love it.
The glowy super gel is also pretty nice and I like that it has some nice skincare ingredients in it. I think it has papaya enzymes which is like a super mild exfoliant.
