- I can't believe I get to call Seoul, South Korea my home! This is how I moved to and live in South Korea. I used to be a student at Korean language school but not anymore! I have a really cool job now 😍 Honestly, this is such a crazy Korea story time I still can't believe this is my life now.

Wow. Girl, I was so moved by your story God has spoken over your life. I randomly came across your page in all my Korean searches --just watched all 3 parts of this journey and I was surprised but it made me tear up. I've been feeling such a draw to South Korea in the past year and I've actually started to look at that dream as reality. And that for me was just so huge. I don't know God's plans for my life personally but I always say me doing life my way, in my time never turns out like God's plans and seeking him first. Oh love! I’m so, SO filled with joy to read this comment! All glory be to GOD! 🫂❤️✨ God encouraged me to share my story hoping it would inspire others as well. He really is faithful and He WILL make a way - and this is key - if it’s where He and His children will grow closer. Moving to Korea has been one of the most amazing seasons of my life but also incredibly challenging. And I mean it. Very hard… But the Lord and I have grown so much closer once I re-surrendered my life to Him and I wouldn’t change the darkness of the journey one bit because it’s drawn me much closer to His light.
Trust His hand. Trust that if He gave us His only Son He’ll go to whatever means necessary to get you where you’ll bloom 🌸 Do your part, surrender the rest, and hold tightly to Him. Praying for you right now sister ✨ Romans 8 is on my heart for you (especially verses 31&32)

You're inspiring Megan! I remember discovering your channel last year on your video about (your first) quarantine. I was looking for info about it and you were lovely and very informative. I also remember you mentioned you were going for tourism but that your dream was to get the entertainment visa. At that same time, I was preparing myself to know South Korea because my dream was to become a korean teacher back home and wanted to experience the country before putting myself out there..
One year later, you achieved what your heart desired. Even though you don't know me, I sincerely congratulate you because I've seen (through the screen) that you have worked for your dream and you are a person who deserves it. As for me, I'm a korean teacher now so yay for us!
I'll soon be going back to visit SK. I hope we can meet in one of your friend meetups to give you a hug and congratulate you in real life. Keep shining!

I often struggle with having a very negative mindset. Joys of the internet… it’s pretty easy for me to cut that out of the videos. I feel like my mind really latches onto the negative (i.e. the difficult times in my life) and I forget to remember how far I’ve come. Everything you said was such a good reminder of 1) how possible it is for us to achieve our dreams! and 2) how I actually like… I did the thing!! I separated them into two numbers because it’s easy for me to tell someone to go for their dreams and encourage them but then I forget to look inwards and encourage myself. I really needed this reminder that… it happened! I have wanted this for so long and it HAPPENED 🥹❤️✨

This is actually such a great news!! Also it's more like your hard work basically paid off. All these coincidences aren't just coincidences but something that happened because you manifested what you wanted and what you needed. Its going to be great but instances like these keeps your hope machine on and makes you feel more connected and faithful of your work and effort that you put in framing your own life and the beautiful environment you wanna live in. You story will inspire people to look out for signs to lead their life in the direction its best suited for them. The entire three part series was really honest and just from the heart. I do think a lot of hard work paid off! For sure! I’m proud of myself for working so hard for a dream I didn’t even know if it would be possible to achieve.
But there’s also a lot of this story that I had no control over. Especially with the visa coming back so quickly, or the fact that I just so happen to have played softball and find the one agency that is trying to make a tv-show out of it… it’s definitely a mix of hard work and a Holy hand helping me along the way ❤️✨
I really, really hope this inspires people to go for their dreams!!! When I started seriously uploading regularly on my UA-cam channel last year, the world would have told me it’s too late to make a career out of it. Never say never to your dreams✨
@@MeganOsten Exactly!! Its never too late to start doing what you love. You just need a mix of variety of factors to get to where you wanna be and then let everything follow you up there. Hardships and difficulties are anyway part of one's journey but the more you wanna try and the more you are sure of it, the more easy it gets to endure everything and achieve what you want. ❤️❤️ Also hope is something that goes a long way. Your faith is what refuels that hope you have within to give you the energy to tackle everything you can. And then things happen that make your hope machine work even better and in the best way possible. You found your direction and it will inspire many people to find theirs by making one thing clear to them and that is to know what they want amidst of everything they have and are surrounded by because that might sound like an easy thing but a really complex on an individual level if one's understanding is too much open or flexible.

The root word for Luck is actually L*cifer. The whole English language was engineered that way. In life, and in ALL things, there is no luck, only God's Devine path for you, Megan. It had to happen that way and couldn't have happened in any other way.
That being said, Thank you for the videos! They are real and not just dude with a camera walking down the street trying to exploit a culture, while on vacation. And then they leave to the next destination. And most videos are about clubbing in Itaewon or Hongdae.
And I don't get why all the videos are about Gwangjang Market. Dong De Mun is the best night market, hands down. And this is important. Korea was never really known for Chicken until the movie, Extreme Job came out. Apparently Netflix is doing a remake with Kevin Hart. And now all of a sudden, Korea is the Fried Chicken Capital of the world. And these poor tourists are going to HOFs to get chicken.
So Megan, can you please make a video on these topics to educate tourists and expats...
1. Where tourists can actually get good chicken and teach them how to say "not too spicy, please" in Korean? And what HOFs are and why you shouldn't get chicken there.
2. There is a street a street NEXT to Kyong buk palace. following the east wall of the palace, I think it's the East wall. The saying is if you walk down that street with your BF or GF you'll break up.
3. Also near Kyong buk, near Chongno 1 ga I think. There is an alley way called, I think the "Peasant Ally", where the commoners used to walk when there was a ceremony at the palace and the streets were crowded. So that the merchants could continue business as usual.
4. Namdaemun gate. The South gate and what happened to it.

The same visa experience happened to me, there were mistakes on my student certificate of admissions and I had to keep resending and resigning and printing and I submit everything with 11 days for my flight, and it gets back to me in 3 days (from Friday to Tuesday pick up passport)
It was so stressful but it came through in the end

Your story is so encouraging and incredible, and like, it’s very obvious to me that God wanted/wants you in Korea. You also made me realise that I need to pray more 😂. I’ve wanted to travel to Korea (either for visiting or work) since 2019, but getting there has just been… hard. And discouraging. To the point I was like “God do you NOT want me to go? Because I thought you gave me this desire…”

I’ve never been one to be religious but at times I do find myself just looking up and thanking whoever has helped me and I feel this immense sense of gratitude with whenever something absolutely unthinkable or lucky has happened to me, maybe to myself for my hard work or again to whoever was looking out for me. It’s a powerful, almost overwhelming feeling, when it happens. Also spot on with the sense of community and unity, a few times I found myself attending a service, even though I didn’t know what was going on or what to say or do, because the sense of unity was amazing. Even went to a few bible studies because it was nice to just sit down and talk with others while analyzing what specific, i guess you’d call them verses or passages meant. Anyways great video glad a lot of things are working out !
