  • “A Closet Dysphoric” is an introspective peak into the life of a non-binary person who fashionably waffles through desperation to find something that satiates gender euphoria and just getting out of the door.
director statement: A simple school assignment became a passion project when lovingly confronted by her friends about how her "struggles to pick what to wear" related to her gender identity. She wanted to show them instead of attempt a messy explanation. They were kind enough to capture the vulnerability of the answer to that question by being the sole crew for this project. Christiana-Simon would like to thank Charles and Eugene for being her best friends this year and for teaching her the authenticity and responsibility that comes with being a filmmaker. Christiana-Simon would also like to thank all the seniors at Webster that made her feel cool enough to sit with them. She would like to dedicate this project to any one in the LGBTQ+ community who knows the feeling of putting on an outfit and it just not quite fitting. You are not alone in this.
