I started playing LoL with some buddies back in Season 2. I remember that we all kept our cameras locked on our champ because we were still getting used to the controls. The first time we played against a Skarner, my friend got grabbed and actually started screaming over voice chat because he was so startled. I'll never forget that moment 🤣

If you hit a champion, you don't go the full lenght, you drag the target for just a bit after that. It's also why when you hit a champion at max range, you still go forward a bit after that so you can smack them in a wall.
So yeah, you can't hit a champion with E in the middle of the lane and expect to be able to drag them to a wall. The extra range doesn't extend that much.
Yup, the displacement goes on only for around a static 600 or so units. MS or when you grab etc. doesn't affect it.
kayn actually can proxy all 3 first waves, including cannon. its a really good proxy and a fun way to play him top. If you go blue kayn it actually plays a lot like singed tbh

If you play Skarner more, make sure you get used to preparing his Q ahead of time. Using E refreshes the duration you can hold Q, so before you E at someone through a wall pick up a boulder first. You can also Q while walking to minion wave instead of when you reach it, and it'll be back up a couple seconds sooner.
Q CD starting upon pickup is a really important thing to keep in mind.
Kayn top proxy is pretty insane, highly recommend, the escape potential and 2 q's level one kills full wave, minion demat for the cannon wave and you can proxy just as well as singed and run away with e and e heal
You forgot Rammus, his level 1 proxy is a bit better than Singed but he has no actual escape options until 2.
The e has a set travel distance once you "catch" your large monster or champ, you didn't cancel it.

What’s your opinion on garen vs singed for proxy split pushing?
I’ve been having great results with cull start, phase rush demolish conditioning. Stridebreaker/ phantom dancer / hull breaker / haste boots
Garen has passive warmogs / mannerless / q to remove cc / insane waveclear.
I'm so happy Skarner is a badass again! I remember him causing chaos in season goddamn 2; it's been loooong overdue!

I'm sure they built his timings around what's fair for enemies not what's smooth for the Skarner player. The Q could be changed in my opinion, but to be fair, it does 15% max hp damage and slows. It's an ability that should at least expose you for a split second. And the E movespeed decrease for the split second is most likely to allow people to react to it and interrupt the already perma cc chain.

Skarner was one of the first few champions that I purchased on release, (Singed was the first). I'm so glad to see Skarner get a rework he looks very very satisfying.
I can already see baus terrorizing the rift with proxi skarner
my personal takes on skarner, if they want to improve skarner a bit more, you should be able to animation cancel Q during the cast of W and the E starting speed should be based on half of your current MS.
amumu level 1 proxy is actually inssane try it. Start corrupting pot E spam waves and you execute after cannon to come back to lane up an item. With no missed exp or gold.
Rammus can also level 1 proxy. Can't believe you wouldn't mention our boy.
Skarners E needs to be adjusted if u grab someone at the beegining of the length of the e it only goes for another short duration whilst holding them, it seems to let go much earlier than if you pick them up later on. This is what happened to you at 23:28 which is a bad mechanic
Would Phaserush or Predator be better for Proxy Skarner maybe so you can rotate and gank mid or get away easier?
I believe that you can throw the rock and deal damage to towers. so u don't need to risk getting to auto range to get plating while proxying

For the record singed isnt the only champion who can proxy at level 1 effectively. I have a list of all the ones who can. There are some on that list that youd have to question why theyd need like olaf though

I can not stop playing Skarner, wasnt a fan of OG skarner either. But the rework is incredibly fun.
29:34 I noticed that when he throws his Q and hit the Twisted Fate that the shockwave from Q procs the grub true damage burn on tower?? Is that true with other champion abilities?
it is because the q does bonus damage to turrets, which meant that the splash damage damaged the turret and grub DOT activates on any damage to structures. There aren't many ranged abilities that can damage structures but the closest i can think of is rammus ult, which does the same thing with its shockwaves.
