Gary, I'm not trying to come off as a smart @$$. This is the first video I've seen of your 55 build so you may have talked about it in other videos. If you're NOT familiar with flipping leaf springs to inside frame on a 55, there are some issues that will arise. So I will talk about a few things in case someone sees this and is thinking of doing it. Some of the issues = clearance is needed in trunk floor for the rear shackles. Fuel tank has to be moved over after spare tire well is removed, this is a big mess as the brackets have to be removed and moved over. The fuel fill tube must be extended by welding in muffler pipe or fuel filler hose section installed with clamps. The fill tube might not clear the frame rail. The upper shock location in body will no longer be able to be used so rubber plugs need put in old upper shock holes. A shock bar has to be used with tabs for shocks cut off and moved over. They sell a shock bar for the leaf spring relocation but it's for the leafs going into the frame rail. Some guys say it's dangerous to have the leafs that close together because in case of skid, the car would flip over easily. I do not believe that because there are some production vehicles with close together leafs like early S-10 two wheel drives. Also some tubbed out big tire cars running 4 links have narrower stuff than this. I'd recommend urethane body mounts over rubber for the height difference for rear shackle clearance to trunk floor and also fuel fill tube clearance off of frame rail. Rubber body mounts will squish making tighter clearances. Also, don't let anyone tell you urethane body mounts squeak. I put urethane body mounts in all my restoration projects and have never had them squeak. Again, I'm just laying out some things that need addressed in case someone is thinking of doing this very thing. A full custom trunk floor and a fuel cell would make this job way easier. I've been building Tri 5's for over 30 years and have experience in this very subject. I'm subscribing because I love watching tri 5 Chevy builds. Rock on dude. You're doing awesome so far.
Looking good
It's getting there man thanks.

@@haffrods7055 it's an uphill battle that's for sure man. I've seen your cars you didn't miss a step. Thanks
@@garysgarage.2841 If you're needing any small parts for a 55, I have a few extra bits and pieces laying around here.
