    Best part is there is no partially hydrogenated oils! That stuff is so bad for you.. and all it does is keep the natural peanut oils from rising to the top as if stirring your peanut butter is worth clogged arteries.

      I need some tips. I buy the natural peanut butter where the oil rises to the top. But it also has to be refrigerated, so when I want to take it out to spread on bread it is hard as a rock! Do I like, nuke it in the microwave or what?

    Here in the Philippines we make home made peanut butter in a traditional way. We roast dried peanuts in a large cast iron pans over burning wood and grind the roasted peanuts with the use of large mortar and pestle and add organic caramel from sugar cane juice sometime some palm sugar or coconut sugar and ad a little salt. Peanuts are readily available all over the country.

      @@ashmalkhan8841 It works. I have been making it since 2018. Just roast your peanuts and blend them in the mixer for 3-4 minutes. Dont forget to give your machine a little rest after every 45 seconds.

      Use almonds. Peanuts and almonds taste so alike that peanuts are also called poor man's almonds. Their nutritional profiles are also similar. Plus almonds don't trigger peanut allergies.

      It does oxides out and in fridge, which can be unpitizing to some, tastes all too the same however, you can make it small quantities until you consume it and then make some more.

    Some Grocery stores used to have peanut butter stations set up to make fresh peanut butter. Not sure why it was ever taken out. Maybe for fear of allergies 🤷🏻‍♀️

      @@praks07 no I don't think it has anything to do with maintenance of the machinery, I'd imagine its because some people are so deathly allergic to peanuts that even the slightest hint of them in the olfactory system (the smell of peanuts/butter) would trigger an allergic reaction. A customer could sue and I doubt a company wants a lawsuit on their hands for being so careless.

      @@aaliyahnuyen9939 that’s what I thought as well. I was a kid of the 80’s those peanut butter machines we very common in grocery stores. But as peanut allergies exploded they disappeared from stores.

    My husband love the crunchy type, so I just saved a 1/4 cup and after it was creamy I added the 1/4 cup and did some pulses to his liking. you can save more, but I found a 1/4 cup works perfect.

    You do not "release the oils" by roasting the peanuts in the oven, but you do improve the flavor by roasting them. The oils are released in the food processor no matter what. You are making an emulsion in the food processor and that is why it becomes creamy.

    I did mine without adding the salt because I cannot have salt and it still tasted good but that's my preference

      Salt is required, the problem is sugar. If you cut out sugar, you will lose a lot of water weight and you could easily have more salt with no detriment. I’m not a doctor, but almost none of them know anything about diet, and just push pills for everything.

      I would guess not much money if you use it just for the peanut butter. Unless you use half a cup a day and like spending an hour or two after the third week because your processor is so worn out from all that peanut butter.

    Fun fact, the blending stage will take anywhere from half an hour to TWO DAYS. My food blender wasn’t beefy enough to make pb without a good half hour break in between a few minutes of blending.
    So this will take forever

      If you used a blender, that’s why. Blenders are for liquids while food processors are more for this type of deal.

      It depends on your peanuts, some are just going to have less oil than others. But you shouldn't really need more than a tablespoon or two to get it smooth.
