YOU DA MAN BROTHA. I got them all set. I have Searto Itch & Serato DJ. I was having a problem with them on Serato Itch & I found out that you have to push SHIFT +z, x, c, v, b, & n in order for them to work on Serato Itch. Again, a BIG THANK YOU!!!!!

bro, I been looking for this tutorial for ever. THANK YOU SO MUCH! Great detailed video. I love the way you work all your sounds & drops. before, I used to drag my drops & sounds to the decks to make them sound. lol
lol, i use to do the same thing, after watching tutorials that were not specific and so much research i finally figured it out myself and to make thing easier for every other dj that is getting to know this software i decided to make the tutorial so they wouldn't have the same problem, i also made a spanish version for my spanish speaking djs, thanks for watching and glad to hear it helped you out.
DJ GlASS one more question. you have to have your controller hooked up when you do this, right?
George Munoz yes you do because when you load your track on to any deck you have to put your cue point at your desired location then drag and drop it on the slot that you want.
It's great to see ppl like you show other ppl how to use the serato I really appreciated very good I wish I can see more of them so can be good at it I have and don't know much about it the little I know and this helps more

Evens Noel you can download samples form you tube, sound cloud, any website, just search for the type of samples you are looking for download them and crop them on your software then lad them to any bank you prefer, hope that helps, thanks for watching.

I have an akai lpd8 mapped to the sp6. Best £30 pounds I ever spent. I highly recommended it :)

good video bro really helped me out... ive been using torq for a while and messed around with traktor but got a novation twitch and decided to hop on serato. either way good video the link to the drops website helped as well. you should do something on the reloop neon if you get it. ima order tonight actually... be blessed

Glad it helped, as far as obtaining siren samples, air horns, etc. You can either youtube and download them or simply purchase them online, or if you know a local dj he can hook you up with some samples. Good luck.
I got the Airhorn and kick pads if you are a Serato user they are available for download via Serato Website

pretty ok video, there are just a few discrepancies as far as you using wrong term analogy and also you didn't go over outputting the SP6 to different channels. In your case Channel 1, Channel 2 or Master Output.....But it was a good tutorial .keep it up bro
yeah didn't think about that, maybe because i didn't have my turntables plugged in, but excellent point, thanks and yes some terminology is not right, excuse me for that, im kind of new to this and just trying to help out other beginners to get a better understanding, there is not many videos with specific ways on how to set it up, etc.. i had that issue when i started so i decided to share what i learned. are you talking about a pre-made sample or similar to the one i use, if thats the case i put a link on the description section of this video, that website makes sound drops, any style with your DJ name in it, they have pre recordings on their website to give you an idea what it will sound like, everything is done online, payment, they make your drops then they notify via email and give you download link for instant download. As far as setting up with Serato its the same way when you get your drop, chop it up on your deck, meaning assign the cue point then drop it in one of your slots then it will automatically load every time you open up Serato, hope it helps, anymore question feel free to ask, thanks for watching.

I see you chose a starting point for the sample, but can you pick an ending point if you just want a part of a song thats too long to play and dont want to stop it automatically?
DJ M.A. You can crop anything and drop it in as a sample. Use your decks to do all the cropping and recordings.

Amiel Montes Can you describe what you mean by pads, i don't know if you are referring to an external beat bank, if you are i am not sure about that area, i never used exterior beat pads, sorry. DJ GlASS bro the NS7II is freaking awesome, Ive had mine for about 7 months now and love it. I upgraded from 2 V7's and a DDM4000 mixer... .This will help a lot with sampler and outputting to a channel to add effects to your samples the creative possibilities
How do you use different cues for the beginning of the sample? Is there a way to trim a file within serato to get the sample I want or will I have to use an external hardware to manipulate a file? If I have to use an external hardware, which do you recommend?
you can rerecord that sample on serato, add the cues to the new rerecorded sample and save it under a new name so you know which one is which. hope that answers your question.

Can you scratch on a sample? Will the crossfader work with it?
What I really wanna see from the Serato SP-6 is to edit a certain sample from a song that you need and then have it triggered on SP-6....and a cue point where it ends.
kickpie I believe you can do that using your record feature. Load the song on either deck place the cue point on where you want it to start, hit the record button and hold down the cue point and release when you reached the end of the desired sample stop the recording, save it and then assigned it to the desired slot. I no longer have my turntables if not I wouldve done a how to video.

MELVIN MCQUEEN look in the description of the video i provided a link to the company that made the drops for me, safe secured payment, and once they are completed the notify you via email and you can download in AIFF format then convert to MP3 through itunes if needed, thanks hope it helps.

Guys! How do i transfer my samples to the DJM 800 and CDJ 2000 WITHOUT using a computer on sets? I only playing my gigs with USB, and i really want to add some classic samples to my sets. Please feel free to answers my question!
Do you think it's better to put all my music in crates on Serato? Usually I just use the iTunes on Serato.
If you are using iTunes on serrate you should be ok, i didn't have all my music folders in iTunes so i placed all my music in one crate, then created sub crates for different styles of music for quick access instead of searching, thanks for watching.
I have the DJJ-SR And in the expansion packs it only says sampler no sp-6 is that ok or do i need to download sp-6

I am looking for some help I got a Numark NDX 500 and it comes with Serato but I have never used serato before how do I get it to work?
I am not familiar with that particular controller, but have you tried installing all drivers to yur computer and configured that hardware to it, do you get error messages, i will recommend opening a help question on the sera to forum its free and you get a lot of feedback from other users, i can only help with the basic stuff i know which is the Numark NS7 & NS7 2 Serato DJ and Serato Itch. hope you find what you are looking for.

I don't think their is no other way, i could be wrong just never thought about that, sorry, i usually just click on the banks to go to my desired sample settings, thanks.

google air horn sound effects then download them convert to mp3 then chop them up on your decks and use the ones you like.

After I'm done and turn of the serato, are the sample are going to stay there or I have to do it all over every time I power up?
They should stay there if you are running a legit copy of Serato, i never had any issues during each start up, everything is always there, thanks for watching.

Both, they are pre programmed into any slot you have available on your mixer (computer software).

+calendar64 yea it turns out I need hardware in order for both decks to come on that sux for me bcuz I want to learn just using the software then buy hardware later on as I get the fundamentals but thx for the info man it was helpful saved me time
+Carlos J get the djay app... it'll be a good place to start and it's a really good dj platform too - i even use it over serato dj sometimes --- you can use it on your computer and then when you get some hardware you can use it with that if you want.
+Carlos J you can also download the Virtual DJ that will teach you a thing or two and its a great experience, i started as a game with the vestal typhoon, i liked it then bought me a controller for home mixing.

you can record your samples, and add effects while in record mode, that way when you trigger your samples it will sound exactly th sway you want it, play (sample) + record with (delay) = sample with permanent delay.

how do you play MULTIPLE CUES in 1 Sampler, say on your sampler slot 1 (Z) this one you have multiple Cues for Z, how do you play Cue 2 - 3 - 4, because if you PUSH Z IT WILL START FROM THE BEGINNING OF CUE 1, ?????????????????

How did you make your DJ name drop?
I had it made, the link is in the description section, they have a variety of drops, you pay by credit card and they make them for you they notify you via email when they are ready, then they send you a download link so you can have them the minute they are done. Safe transaction i was a little iffy at first but it turned out a legit company, still buying stuff from them, u might find cheaper if you shop around but i thought the prices were worth it. thanks for watching.

Sadly Serato does NOT have an on screen mixer without the hard war connected. If you forget your sound card your screwed! Traktor has on screen mixer your never screwed with Traktor.
No never messed with it, but i do i have a external sound card that comes with tractor i never used though :(
Dude Traktor is taking over serato cannot compete anymore
im not saying its not, I'm just not all into the software part yet, when i decide to make a business or put more effort into this hobby I will definitely check it out, for now Serato does what i need, i don't play as much :)
