I always find so much value in your videos! Thank you!
I moved to Canada a year ago and just recently got my PR finally so my first step in my plan is emailing local business I've seen selling work by local artists. So far that's only been two but I'm keeping my eyes out! Gotta learn some basic book keeping as well and work on a portfolio so I can reach out to bigger companies to try to get some of my work licensed 😁
Still in the beginning steps of my plan because previously I was focused on immigrating and improving my art skills but I feel like as long as I keep taking steps in the plan and adapt it as needed, I'll get where I want to go 🥰 I thank you for a lot of those "aha" moments that lead to this plan

Congrats on getting your PR! We did the process a couple years ago to get my husband his PR, and even with me sponsoring him it was SO much work. It must feel great now to be able to focus on other things!

@@ArtBusinesswithNess Thank you so much and congrats to you and your husband as well! My wife sponsored me in as well and everyone I've talked to that's gotten PR says what a process it is! So good to be on the other end of it for sure 😁

@@SavMortem Ohh so we did the exact same thing! The process for spousal sponsorship feels a bit absurd when you have to prove you're really together. We submitted photos of us on dates with our paperwork, it was weeeeeird!

@@ArtBusinesswithNess Agreed! Definitely one of the most extensive and invasive things I've ever been through 😂 and even though I recently officially got PR and have a SIN and everything I'm struggling to get them to send my card lol. I'll be free of this roller coaster ride eventually though 😅

@@SavMortem Really? :o I'm surprised there's a hold up with the card. We just received it in a mail a few weeks later. We were emailed a temporary paper to use in the meantime.

i just wanna know a day in your life! How do you do everythingggggg???.... You make youtube lessons, instagram shorts, create classes like the bootcamp, run an etsy store. maybe some other stores or your own webpage!
Its crazy! I imagine your an early bird and love waking up at like 4:30 - 5:30 am and just get going.

Nope, I'm a late owl and I have really bad quality sleep so I sleep in and have trouble getting out of bed 😅 Most days I don't start working until like... 10 or 11 am! I also have a chronic disease and have to work around my symptoms. It seems like I'm doing a lot, but I really just do one thing at a time :) 2 weeks making art. 1 weeks making a batch of 4-5 videos for UA-cam. 1 day a month making my Instagram content. I haven't updated my Etsy shop in over a year 😅 I just do the best I can!

Awesome video Ness! You made me realize that being resourceful is a a good skill to have! In some classes I’ve always think, why are they asking that? they could just google it or search in UA-cam😅. Good luck in your boot camp and I hope you’re feeling better 🩺

Exactly! It's not everyone's instinct to just Google it - but it's a good habit to build!

I'm planning on working at construction in Canada, but have to get my passport first 😅. I'm tired of this game, can't chase that "big brake" job anymore, or any serious job for that matter.
Sorry, I feel like I always come to your videos to vent 😔
