    Have you used some of these methods in the past? Which ones have you not tried yet?

  • @kenzorman

    Watermarks are the best method of giving your work some legal protection. If you find someone who has taken your work and removed the watermark its easier to sue them since: 1. its illegal to remove copyright information from a work , 2. the watermark shows that the work is copyright protected .
    Also watermarks a massive pain for Ai. Ai struggles to separate the logos from the rest of the image and ends up adding your logo into the images they generate. Also it puts Ai companies in legal jeopardy since removing logos from copyright protected images and adding them to their database is probably illegal.

      Very good points! These are great reasons to use watermarks :)

    I always cover my images with watermarks-unfortunately it does detract from the artwork and I have heard that a lot of buyers are turned off by watermarks.

    I am worried about my art being stolen. I've Ben very nervous and I'm disabled so doing more to post is hard. I wish there was a quick thing I could just do, since I can't always film my more traditional work.
    I deleted Deviant art and I'm unsure about instagram now, and UA-cam as well.

    • @ArtBusinesswithNess
      @ArtBusinesswithNess  6 місяців тому +3

      Many artists think filming their art is complicated, but it's really not! You can grab your phone and film a 4 seconds clips of your finished traditional artwork, and that's a fine reel right there!

    • @ArtBusinesswithNess

      Glaze is a software that takes your image file, transforms it, and gives you a new altered image file in return. You can upload your Glazed image anywhere you usually upload art - whether that's your website, social media, or Behance.

      There is no 100% certain way to protect your art online. There are ways to mitigate, but a determined art thief can still take it. You have to decide if the fear of theft will prevent you from showing your own art how you want to.

  • @moonmon77
    @moonmon77 3 місяці тому

    i dont know but i am so scared that people might just steal and be untrustworthy about my artwork (hard work) , that i still (since 1 year or longer) can not post my traditional artwork (canvas acrylics oil) on any social media platform.
    What would your recommendations for people who are artists but can not show or present their work to an audience be?
    I want to be able that people know the work I am doing and share and sell the beautiful pieces I made.
    But I dont know how to make it work when I start.
    I would cherish the help of people who were able to sell their art or large prints on canvases or who know of people like that.
    thanks

      Unfortunately this is a fear you have to get over to flourish as an artist. There is always a chance of art theft (though it’s not that frequent) but you can’t let that stop you. Just like you can’t hide in your home because there’s a chance you might get hit by a car if you come out. Life always comes with risks…

    Art & Commerce - Don't confuse the two.
    Produce art because you love it. Don't become just another Capitalist.
    Feeding the Capitalist monster of exploiting stuff for cash.
    For it is no longer art - It's a product.
    You aren't an artist... you're a capitalist entrepreneur.

    • @ArtBusinesswithNess
      @ArtBusinesswithNess  5 місяців тому +2

      Tell that to Michelangelo who painted the Sistine chapel on commission. This is a silly comment. Earning money for your hard work doesn't make you less of an artist - in fact, in enables you to do MORE art when you can drop your 9-5. You just haven't been able to sell your art yet, and thinking that this makes you a "true artist" makes you feel better about it.

    • @commonwunder
      @commonwunder 5 місяців тому

      @@ArtBusinesswithNess Michelangelo was working for the church and as a devout believer himself... he thought he was doing his 'art' for his eternal soul and his creator. Not to make money from a Capitalist system that is only about individual greed. You could not of picked a worse choice. If you make art in order to make money from it - then you're an artisan, craftsperson or commercial creative.
