Tony Allen et son toucher de velours incomparable, les musiciens qui l'accompagnent ne sont pas en reste. Magnifique, une merveille de groove subtil ce live.
It's ok if you dont like something ... Absolutely fine ... But also important to have humility to realise that you might be incapable of understanding certain things happening around you .. they are not necessarily bad or incapable, because you think so .. all the power to you .. let's listen harder !!!
Long live the father of Afrobeat Can we talk about the saxophonist tho, he’s a little off direction Maybe it’s just hard to take on all those notes solo
Mate, I'm sorry to have to tell you that it's your ears that are terrible. You haven't the ability to truly hear people play instruments in a fashion that is contrary to the norm. Tony Allen was never a jazz drummer in the classic sense. He never imagined that he was. He is interpreting Art Blakey's music in a completely new, respectful and, more importantly, totally relevant fashion. He is a completely unique drummer. You are sadly unable to appreciate this magnificence because you understand and expect only the familiar
22.33 - 33.00 Art Blakey's Moanin' - Afrobeat style💯🙌 Great tribute from one Drum Grandmaster to another. Thank you for this very special upload🌍
Tony Allen is one of my top 10 favorite drummers in the world. His finesse is unparalleled.

初めて聞きましたジャズなのか?心地よいメロディが好きです🎷
WOW! Just heard about this from a UA-cam video about Tony, but I didn't expect it to be THAT groovy! Absolutely love it!
Tony is/was one of my top 10 drummers of all time. He was the Commandant of Rythmic Finnesse.
That snare sounds great.

I honestly agree
Mon dieu mon dieu.... Qu'est ce que Art Blakey a à voir avec ça...?!
à aucun moment il n'a dit que c'était du tribute pure et dure à la art blakey ! C'est un tribute réarrangé à sa façon ; alors où est le problème ?
Did that guy honestly have names written on his shirt with a marker???? I get the “free” genre and these guys are beyond talented but come on.....
That drummer is terrible. Check how the swing goes when the drums come in. As soon as the drums start it drags, then that's it all gone to shit.
Tony Allen a terrible drummer? Wow, OK. Well, each to their own I suppose.

That is funny! What you learned trumps reality!
That swing sits. It don’t drag. It sits in the pocket. And if you think the best drummers don’t push and pull, you’re mistaken.
You clearly don't speak his language. Tony is killing it, but not in a way you can comprehend.
