Love this! My family downsized at least 80% over the summer before moving into our vintage travel trailer (with the plan to build our own tiny house in the coming years). I had zero experience with minimalism prior to this year - moreover my partner and I were way more “maximalist” when it came to decoration (this is still a bit true!). Anyway, what really helped me begin - and thoroughly execute! - my minimalist journey was the book “Goodbye, Things.” It’s a little repetitive, and doesn’t always have the best flow in my opinion, but there are SO many nuggets of advice I took to heart and continue to do so now.
I totally agree the problem is systemic. Sure as individuals we can make better choices and we should make better choices. However, if corporations can make products obsolete and just poor quality and then outsourced the trash to Africa, we are very limited as individuals in changing this situation. I love how having a more minimal lifestyle helps us to have these much needed conversations.
Amazing video! You should write books, because you always have so precious contents to share. I definitely would buy your books! Or have you already written any books? Thank you for this beautiful again! 😊 Merry Christmas 🎄🎁 and Happy New Year! 🎉
Great video! I live very simple but I do have to travel back home 2 wks out of the year and where I dont keep my routine...its a very long distance so I just eat whatever I want...I use the same clothes every year when im over there....I actually just keep them over there so I dont have to travel with luggage only a backpack but I dont buu souvenirs.,.I was a magnet tourist in the past...now I just take photos and write in my travel journal...and like you said I try to live by example so my family is witness to all the good it provides....my lifestyle (minimalist plant base sustainable) isnt for everyone and all we can do is respect others choice in life but also be respected for our choice of lifestyle 💚
20 years ago, after many years of trying, I convinced my family to stop with the holiday/birthday/whatever presents. I encourage people to donate to causes where there is a much greater need. Shifting our giving toward helping others rather than accumulating more stuff has really improved my relationship with them
I loved the video! I would be really interested if you would make a video about how to stop buying for your imaginary self. 🙂
Thank you! I'll put it on my list! ☺️
I like your hair like that and this colour suits you !! Happy holidays x

Wonderful as always!!
Love how your hair is looking right now 💖
