@@heycidskyja4668 But it was still learning from Gordon Ramsay if hes the one on the TV yes? That's all I was saying I wasn't trying to piss anybody off. Although definitely not as awesome as she made it sound.
For those that don't like the skin, nor like having the task of removing skin from the salmon after its been served: 375 degrees oven, don't oil pan sheet, season it (idk if it makes a difference, I just hope the flavor or aroma will seep thru the skin and into the bottom of the fish meat) with the same seasoning you're using for the salmon, place skin side down. Cook for roughly 20 min. Skin will stick to pan sheet/aluminum foil (easy clean up), use spatula and go in between skin and meat and serve on plate. Easy
I’ve learned that fish is an exceptional candidate for marinades, because the fish tends to absorb more flavor quicker and deeper into the tissue than turkey, beef, chicken, and so on. I tried an Asian inspired salmon marinade, and it was the most moist and tastiest piece of salmon I have made to date. Don’t go beyond 30 minutes with a marinade - and especially after an hour. The fish will deteriorate to a gross state. Combine this with Gordon’s cooking method and you’ll have an exceptional piece of salmon.
This is how we shallow fry fish in Kerala, India from many generations 😀...But we add more spices and marinate the fish...May be Ramsey discovered this on his trips to India...
Cold sear skin side down after a 15 min brine is way easier/better result. And you don’t need oil bc the fat renders itself. That’s Americas test kitchen’s method and it never fails me. You do need non stick for that method though.
That can depend on the size, how hot the pan is, and how cold it is when you put it in. But a good rule is, wait until the color on the side changes about 3/4 of the way up, and then flip. It doesn’t take long on the other side after that till it’s done
I like how you left the Scales on the fish ! The old west coasters always left the scales when pan frying for crisper skin and it also protects the flesh from the heat a bit more. Great production very simple and well executed I totally enjoyed it. You can cook for me anytime! Wink wink. Thank you !
Mmmm sorry dear but your salmon doesn't look tasty not even close to Gordon Ramsay Salmon....and yes you need to go to culinary school ...you need to learn a lot 😂
It's actually better to put the salmon on a cold pan first then after you add heat and skin is cooked you flip it and turn off the heat and let the salmon cook from the residual heat. But this way works
If u want to understand why u do these things like putting butter in the pan or slices into the salmon or skin side down first there Is a chemical reaction which u learn in school
No wonder the kids of this older generation don’t know how to cook or what good home cooked food is. We lost is in the first generation with these types

Which is learning from Gordon Ramsay.
@@alexandrel6344 No, it's learning from a Gordon Ramsey TV show. Presumably English isn't your first language.

The skin is easy enough to peel off on the plate after cooking if it doesn't come off in the pan.
NO! Follow Gordon Ramsey.

How do you get the crispy skin if your marinade it?
@@Burger14 air fryer
Do you scale the fish first? Or leave the scales on?
"salt well"
holy moly, that is a lot
A dry brine gives you firmer, juicer fish with crispy skin which is why you need a lot of salt
She put a ungodly amount of salt I too was taught by Gordon Ramsay and he put a pinch of salt 💀
Should have basted with the butter Gordon always does that and it gives incredible texture
Also need to take all the scales off
No you don't need to
@@keshanranasinghe you 100% should. Whether you die is diffrent

That did look like a lot of salt

Why follow you if you learned it from GR lol I’d rather just follow him instead of playing telephone
Where do you buy your salmon
Love This.
You forgot something called SEASONING
No need if you use good quality ingredients.
@heycidskyja4668 Salt and pepper is not " good quality ingredients" 😒. We are not the same.
@@lowkee777 Exactly - if you use good quality SALMON there is no need for seasoning. We are not the same indeed.

I hate unclear demonstrations... flip and then leave for how long ? As long as I want ?

That won’t work on a stainless steel
Should have get rid of the skin flakes first
didn't hear what you said after "add your favorite oil to the pan".
It was all sizzle.
can you tell us what you said there.
That seemed to be the key.
I always put honey on my Salmon
You forget pepper an lemon
All this video was melon giving us his 13 reason why he does Diet Coke.
Did anyone catch how many minutes on each side? I don't think she mentioned.
Until it cooked

I’m a chef. The reason why your skin sounded like that was because you left the scales on the fish 😂
she likes it tough...
The truth is it is not the best way but it is a good way. Best is always temporary and good is hard to argue with. Have a good day.
"I learned this method from Gordon Ramsay.." yeah in the same video on UA-cam as everyone else lol
Recipe is simple. Fish, oil, salt and butter. What’s tricky is the execution. That is difficult to show in 10 seconds.

I don’t think she left the scales on …just the skin it looks like.
Hell naw. Scale it cleanly and get a delicious crispy salmon skin. Literally the best part!
Salt well like as in how much? Mine came out too salty! Yikes!

Haha she cute though
Do you eat the skin?
Wheres the pepper, butter, herbs and spices
my question as well…
Is that farm raised salmon?
She just have the looks, prettier then Ramsey 🥴🙃
Try poaching in orange juice. Not kidding. My wife and four teenagers love it. Won't taste like orange but it's delicious. 😎👍🏻
When to flip or what temp should the stove on be? I think I will just take make up tips off you instead lol.
I cook my skin face up first. That way I can sear up the skin side well and still able to baste my fish without burning my skin.

🙏 because I always burn the skin
Ok 👌 Yummy 😋
I’ll watch Gordon Ramsay and make sure he gets the likes and views but thanks,
Why follow her over GR? She's much nicer to look at
It's actually better to put the salmon on a cold pan first then after you add heat and skin is cooked you flip it and turn off the heat and let the salmon cook from the residual heat. But this way works
That’s not what Gordon Ramsey said
It’s so plain with just salt 🧂, tastes better with some spices in it.
Nice
Yeah right
I hope you don’t just add salt
That salmon doesn't look like sockeye salmon.
honey you did not cook that salmon all the way through, you can see the pink on the sides.
You're not gonna baste for long without overcooking so the thyme really isn't doing much.
You didnt clean the fish dandruff well

What's wrong with these comments 🤢
First that is 2 different salmon cooked. 2nd fold the salmon halfway then make ur cuts.
The butter is good but where’s the seasoning 😅❓
Adding a bunch of salt is not what I want.

Pretty sure you’re only supposed to score the skin and not cut into the flesh
Only salt? You forgot like 20 things lady lol
