I've seen this done by garages but they make some holes really close and some far fr each other. No symmetry and looks really cheap based on where they drill. Holes.

Great stuff. I just watched the video on how RR do it.. it is basically the SAME process! and the same kinda bits (long fibre cables) Amazing. Is it still working ok?
Might be a bit late for the answere but, the actual `lights` you see in the roof aren`t ligths, they are clear plastic tubes that bundle all together in the black box where the actual light is, they just refelct the light to say it like that. So the tubes won`t get hot, the light in the black box might get hot yeaah so be safe with that (it is still in a box so would not form a dangour in my eyes) (sorry for bad english).
How did you wire it in at the end. I know for video purposes you done it to the battery but what was the long term fix? I want to do it to my audi a6 c7 but not sure where the power source would be? Any help would be greatly appreciated Mat
Bit of a late reply but use add a fuse tap circuit to tap into ur fuses i suggest the 12v socket fuse so the starlights come on with ignition, if this something your still interested in I can sort you out
Now, this would be fucking amazing in my car I'd love the hell out of it, I got some lights at the feet for every seat, this would be pretty cool to add up on it, problem is it's a cloth roof and can't really get it off
