One of my teammates told me he wishes that "I die in real life" because I wasn't the support he wished for... Wow. Such a toxic and depressing game! Matchmaking is another discussion about unfairness.
Totally agree bro.. went from just calibrated as arch3 late December then 20 straight losses.. 20.. fell to C2.. fortunately now back up to C5 after your vids.. great content as usual...
Is it weird that if i am on a losing streak, I just think that i will keep playing until i win 1 game. I do lose a lot but still win one. I always used to think of it as a challenge for myself. Maybe time to change strategy.
You're not the only one. Just after winning some games with Rampage... I get raped and I feed. I t fucking sucks. Don't get me to tell you about matchmaking.
I totally agree man, I personally went from Crusader II to Archon I in about 2 months and it felt great after watching certain videos I was like "Yeah, I have understood the game and it's just a matter of consistency and doing the right thing" and here I am in a losing streak close to getting to Crusader V. The saddest part is that you feel you have learned a lot but there is still a huge of amount of mistakes, but this video teaches you that everybody has a lot to learn and it is just one step at a time, but most importantly, enjoy the ride, otherwise, it's not worth it.
Hmmmm, its kinda weird base on your post. This lose you have is after update right? I climb 3 weeks from archon 1 to 4 and now im back at archon 1 and might drop to crusader 5. And lately i've noticed same other players having the same problem like really dropping hard.
Ngl, this is a giga chad video king. May your trades be profitable. (I’m currently 5-6 on Lina, but whether its + or - 50% my goal now is to get a sample size of 100 games. This carried me through being 3-6). Great vid!
Spirit Breaker spammer here I have a good way to get around the underlord pit of malice in team fights. I charge towards the fight right before the pit I stop my charging and use Nether strike to jump on someone behind the pit. It worked really well. Also rush a bkb because its such a horrible match up to deal with. Thanks for the great videos.
I agree with everything you say, but I honestly believe that Dota has some hidden matchmaking mechanic that causes these losing streaks. After years without playing, I came back recently. I watched a lot of your videos, some of BSJ's, played some Unranked games, and got ready for Ranked. In the first 3 months, I initially lost 100 MMR but then started winning and quickly gained 300 MMR. My win rate was around 58%. I was feeling challenged, improving, communication was great, teams were balanced in terms of skills. Matches were mostly awesome, even lost ones (or should I say specially?). Just to illustrate, I had a 66% win rate with CM in that period. With Ogre, I had 55%. With Jakiro 44%. My behavior score was above 10k. Then, in the period of two weeks, I simply lost 80% of the games I've played, going down 800 MMR. Really, I won 2 out of 20 games in the last of the two weeks. It didn't matter how well I played, how much focus I had, how calm and encouraging I tried to be, not even how badly the other teams made mistakes. My teams were always speaking other languages, flaming, rage quitting. I had games where my carry was out leveling the off-lane by 3 levels and he still ended 1/12. I even lost games with more than 15k gold lead simply because my cores didn't save for buyback and dove fountain with tier 3s still up. In that losing streak, I had an 18% win rate with CM. With Ogre, it was now 22%. With Jakiro 31%. My behavior score was still 10k, but with way less commends and a lot of reports by me. I felt like Dota was the most toxic game ever created and uninstalled it twice. Until suddenly I started winning again. Nothing changed, heroes are the same, playstyle the same, heck I'm even playing my lanes worst than before. But my teams speak my language again, players don't blame each other but rather help, people don't spend 30 min in the jungle with Lycan anymore, my mid doesn't feed after dying on a gank. Now I'm sitting at 11 wins in a row, 13 of the last 14 games won. How?
Maybe! I really don't have any proof one way or the other. I personally think there's just a lot of random chance, but in my mind, it doesn't fully matter anyways. Even if they officially told us there's a system like that in place, that would just mean that in order to climb MMR, you have to be good enough to win average games as well as games set against you. And that just means you need to improve a lot to climb. So in the end, it's all the same to me, I just have to keep improving in order to climb. For a game to be set against you though, that means the other team has a game meant for them to easily win. So in theory, if there's a system to prevent you from climbing, the same system should prevent people from falling. I've definitely never felt like a system existed to prevent me from falling though hahaha
@@ZQuixotix I wouldn’t put it as the game being set against us. Not deliberately anyways. What I believe is happening is that Valve has some sort of algorithm for balancing matchmaking by putting over performing players in teams with low performing ones. For computational reasons, they may be calculating player “performance” on a weekly basis, which is causing these huge swings in match making quality. For us supports out there, team quality makes a huge difference on our ability to win, since we can’t usually carry the games on our own.
@@viniciusfragosopinheiro4850 Since using dota plus, I observed that I am matched with low winrate teammates when my winrate is low as well (and vise versa). In theory that would mean my team is stronger then the enemie's ... BUT! low winrate means a ton lot more tilting, afk-ing and feeding (the later happens to me too), which makes winning those games even harder and thus, loosing streakes manifest themselves. Often only a mid smurf-like player in my team can save me from this cycle ;-). But tbh here, I hate those mid stomp games, winning or loosing alike. They are boring as hell and a waste of free time. In the end I think it's my fault for playing round after round until I actually win a game XD.
The thing about Dota matchmaking is more winstreaks you get the more bad teammates you get and enemy playing good but there is always a noob on both teams. So you have to dplay your best and improve to not waste your lose streak that fast. You will get matched against dendi after a long win streak SO always take breaks whenever you play 3 games
Why have i dropped from crusader to herald? Im 10k behaviour score but i just keep losing regardless if im owning or playing average. It cant be im that trash at the game otherwise i wod stay herald. But im going up and down over n over. Am i missing something???
Thx for these videos, haven’t played since 2015 so back to learning. I was wondering, can Windranger still be a viable support? In role assist I don’t see her in the supports but when I played back in 2015 she was one of my fav supports.
As a pos 4 I'd say she's still viable. Personally I don't like pos 5 Windranger, but you could make it work if you really wanted to. She got some nerfs recently which is probably why you aren't seeing her as much, but I think she's still viable enough
@@ZQuixotix oh ok, I was thinking pos 4 would be fine, what would be a build a good build for her to start with if you don’t mind me asking. Thx for the video on Jakiro, definitely fixed some mistakes I was making.
