Vergis is actually good for arena also if you use tanky/HP scaling team specially with resist heavy (a team that isnt very fast - for example you dont use speed buff and only turn meter buff from someone like seeker or you use slow nuking champs like moutain king). He isnt a skullcrusher but tbh he is not far under him. To it his A1 hits actually good (probably has little better scaling then taylers A1).
The utility tree can be usefull on arena tbh as the nuker will have longer buffs (and your shield/heal also benefit from it), or for that 1 guy that will be on 4 speed from 4:3 - but mainly utility i would consider for arena at best and nothing other.
In G4 he manages very well (i like how in most of my fights atk/def the last 2 ppl standing in my team is vergis and moutain king. Yesterday had 11 won def's in a row (all different players) as ppl rly underestimate how hard to kill these 2 are after 1st round of arena in tanky team - and they always survive.
Tbh for my team with moutain king he is much better then miscreated monster (as miscreated cant keep the main dmg dealer alive like vergis) i would dare to say (as i have both) that he is on par with miscreated as arena champ (just requires different teams) - althrough for spyder miscreated is worlds better. But like we can see he is probably a little better for CB the miscreated.
Tbh lets say it most late game champs are legs :) (only very very few non legs are late game, and then they are only on 1 aspect max 2 there).
Actually I am trying to make a team (as i dont have skullcrusher) Vergis+Jareg (for 2x ally protection + def buff), Tayler/razin (atk def), occult browler, and doompriest (for cleance and affinity immunity).
When i max out sepulcher maybe i will put her in as leader and take someone other for jareg as ally protection.

For me to, choosing def/hp/resist is more logical choice. I've just made the build, now to test him in arena
Vergis where I have him is LITERALLY MVP in ALL content including Arena except for content requiring block revive and hp burn where he's 2nd ONLY to those champions with block revive and hp burn.

Thanks for doing a guide on vergis :). Now i need to figure out all that jazz about speed tuning, which is very hard on my brain to understand the process even using the calculator lol. The problem for me is that Valkyrie and Tayrel are important pieces of my cb team but they also are used everywhere else in the game including arena, so i cant mess with their speed too much, if possible i should try and make them faster so fitting them into cb is a little bit complicated for me, often i see myself using frozen bashee a2 to pump that turn meter and make valky throw the shield just a smidge before the aoe. I dont have books to lower her cooldown so i had to take the masteries you use to say we shouldnt like lasting gifts to make sure valerie would extend those buffs long enough to withstand the aoe until the cd comes around. It's very tricky xD
Thx for this. I was looking for some help with vergis and this helps A LOT! I don't have focused sentinel but I do have skull crushers so I'll have to make some adjustments for CB. Otherwise, this has made a huge difference. Thx 😊

Great video and this really makes me think. Been running dutchess to block the stun on a 4:3. I need to mess with the calculator and figure out how to get the double turn between the aoes to block the speed down from spirit boss that's messing me up so bad

Hi DeadwoodJedi, loves your advice on Vegis. I have an off-topic question. At timestamp 7:38, I saw on the top right of your screen "Message from Clan Leader: New goal: if you can down...". How do you set a message as clan leader to do that? We can't find any way of doing that so everyone knows what we want them to do. Seems they don't look at clan chat.

Thanks for the video, it gives me something to consider working on. I am trying to decide between Nazana, Vergis, and Rearguard for this same group comp. at the moment. Unless I am mistaken, sounds like you may prefer Vergis. I have been considering him for Spider's 19/20 as well, since I still don't have a strong group aoe shield champ other than Duchess which I may dedicate for Arena. What you think?

Just got vergis and i am having problem setting up against Red afinity, since i don t have all your epics end legendaries, how should i use him? Running now with Apotecary, Banshee, Occult Brawler, Steelskull, And Gravechill Killer. Tried using all my Green Afinity legendaries and Epics but i can t pass 12 mil in NM. any help you could give me ?

Mimic'ing what some have pointed out already; Vergis in appropriate gear certainly feels A-tier, though probably a bit more niche. I have him in (admittedly) very good Destroy gear with my 2 off-pieces being Immortal. He's nigh unkillable in DT, which is where I prefer him instead of Dungerions/Keeps. Arena he's a helluva' pest too! By the by, I've found him to be very good weak-affinity tank in Spider, on par with Sepulcher Sentinel, Rhazin, or others who fill that role depending on the stage.
Quick question about CB: I still don't have a Counter-Attack champ & fear that it's hard-coded into my account that I never will. The recent discoveries about Ally Protect have given me hope & I was wondering: if you had the same exact team featured in the video (I have those champs as well), who would you recommend or prefer in that 5th slot if Skullcrusher (and by extension, Valk or Martyr) were unavailable to you? I feel like I've got a few choices but I'm reticent to try this comp because I don't know who'd give me the best "bang-for-my-buck". I've got the following champs leveled, acscended, mastered, and booked where appropriate/needed for CB: Iron Brago, Vizier Ovelis, Tyrant Ixlimor, Foli, Godseeker Aniri, Rearguard, Doompriest, Tayrel, Fayne, Ghrush, Sandlashed Survivor, Stag Knight, Apothecary.
My instinct would be to go with Vizier; as long as I could get Decrease ATK up with Sepulcher in the first few rounds, I've got him extending that debuff along with Rhazin's Decrease DEF/Weaken & FB's Poisons. However, Tyrant has Ally Protect along with HP Burn & his AoE mitigation, Rearguard has Ally Protect and also debuffs ATK/DEF on CB, Ghrush's Leech seems appealing paired with Vergis and I'd be able to shed some of this LS gear that, frankly, I have better damage stats on my Stalwart collection at this point. Sandlashed too seems intriguing; Ally Protect along with her own Block Damage mechanic running alongside extending team buffs/reducing CB buff duration.
I know the answer is to just hit the calculator & hit it hard. I'll probably spend awhile tomorrow just running different iterations thru it to see what I find. As an addendum, I've also got Toragi just leveled up to rank 6; just needs to be fully-ascended. Never thought I'd face paralysis by analysis without a UK or CA comp. Thanks for all your work, man!

I'm new to understanding the speed tune part of this - you indicated this speed tune works for both N and UN, but I didn't see any of the actual numbers. I don't see them in the comments either. Am I missing something?

Nice vid. I was wondering about the 2:1 batman speed tune where seeker has 248 speed and the rest are dps. When i plot these speed values in your speed calculator and give seeker's ability a two turn cooldown on the A3 slot, the calc doesn't show it syncing into a 2:1 cycle in any of the turns.
Am I doing something wrong, or is the calc not set up to show this comp correctley?
Martin Bednar it should show correctly. However I think seeker is the a2 slot not the a3.

look at the 4:3 tunes i have on the website...you want sepulcher going last between the aoe's
I see a lot of these comps with skullcrusher. But I've never pulled a counterattack or unkillable. Are there any subs that are possible

I've decided to go with Vergis as my 4th hero....
I messed my account up so bad with the artifacts.. I built and booked a Valla I didn't really need but I can throw her on one of my 3v3 arena teams and use her in the faction wars.. Not a total loss...
I figured the game out and realized how I was doing everything wrong..

hello! my banshee has 173 speed. no lore of steel and disabled second skill but she's out of sync. she loses block debuff and get stun all the time. banshee goes after sepulcher block debuff skill!
He got me to endgame in a shitty Stalwart set practically alone (I had just leveled apoth at the same time)
I've just put him in stalwart, just because all of my stats were def/hp/resist based....lets he how it goes

When you add Champs to your team, its the second slot that gets filled. On that screen it looks something like this:

So if I’ve already got a maxed M. monster,Vergis is pretty much moot.
For progression and dungeons? Yes. For CB? Not necessarily!
Different affinity and if you need a tank/carry for your second or third arena team, he would be your number 1 choice.

I'm doing something very wrong in CB. I thought I understood that part of the game but apparently I don't. I use Valk, FB, Rhazin, Sepulchar and Martyr/Bulwark and I can only get 30M per key in NM. You just one keyed it, easily, with Vergis who cannot compare to Valk (I don't mean that as an insult to you, Vergis (hehe) or the quality of this video). Somebody help!
