You can't take the fairing off on a Street Glide and since the Street Glide weights 200lbs more than the Slim it can be too much bike for some people. I have a similar setup on my Wife's 2018 Slim with quick release brackets on the fairing and wire connectors on the power to the speakers... with this setup it takes less than a minute to remove the fairing. She likes to ride without the fairing on for short rides but when we go on long ride then she wants the fairing on. It might be terrible for you but for others it can be the perfect setup.
